Iam a gospel drummer in my local church, after I watched this video I will change my cymbal all to Meinl cymbals 👍🏻
So glad Calvin isn't in worship band with me, because I would constantly forget to play while watching him, lol
From 2:10 to 2:17 is crazy and Calvins' ability to lock the groove right back in is phenomenal
Calvin's sound is just perfect man. The move to Meinl was a good one. His cymbal selection just blends together with great harmony.
Dont get me started on the sound/tuning on them drums 🤦🏾♂️
I'm fairly certain that they don't record the audio live on these MEINL drum videos, so who knows what kind of production went into making them sound that way.

@@1missing We record the audio live. Artists either bring backing tracks to play to or they bring a band to play to and we record their drumming live. The only "production" is having an incredibly experienced audio engineer who knows his profession. - Chris/Meinl
@@meinlcymbals Hmm, I don't know. There was one video you guys put out where the audio and video didn't match up for this one particular hit. It was super subtle and hardly noticeable, but upon slowing it down I was fairly certain that they didn't match up. Or maybe I'm just fuckin crazy lol

This is one of the best examples of Meinl's sound I have ever seen. This man gets the absolute most out of his cymbals and they sound perfect on this track. Good job to the both of you. Meinl and Calvin.

The production quality on these videos is as top notch as the drumming they capture. It is so refreshing to be able to distinctly hear ghost notes in video footage instead of just "knowing they are there" because you can see it. These overhead angles are beautiful.
