Le Morne Mauritius Windsurfing

  • "Trying" to windsurf waves in Mauritius - other than a couple days at Pistol River a total newbie at wave sailing. I have got a lot to learn... I provide my comments on my own sailing for future self-review to determine progress, and in case anyone else is interested... The instructor portion was Little Reef. I also got out to Manawa with Tim from Munich, but no video of that - and I stayed on the outside shoulders to watch and observe, did not do any wave sailing there.

    Very courageous of you. Le Morne is not an easy spot to learn waveriding.

    That looks incredibly shallow. Not a lot of room for failure. Well done.

      Yes, it comes with risk. I managed it pretty good but there is an aspect of luck also. I did get a couple of small scrapes but not too bad. I don’t like booties for board feel. I would say at least half of the windsurfers were boot less on the water. Cheers.
