Try this hack for windscreens when the wipers don't work. Cut a potato in half and rub it on the dry screen. Maybe it will work for you too!

Here is a tip that a lot of freedivers use to keep the mask from fogging up.
    1. You have to remove protective layer from the inside. Easy to do with a lighter until the glass turns black. Then rinse until clean. Make sure though that the glass is tempered glass. Just search TH-cam for a guide.
    2. Just before each use spit inside, slightly grind with your fingers and rinse gently rinse.
That’s all. Always works for me.
And yes - only a regular mask. With full face mask you can’t dive, with regular one you can go deep.

Thank you so much for pointing out the best places to Snorkel. We visited Le Morne Beach several times between the Lux Hotel and the Marriott Hotel. It was a fantastic spot with fish everywhere. The spot over by the Paradis Hotel wasn’t that good and it was a distance along the beach. Keep up the good work.

A really well put together video and Story of your day Lucy, loved it having lived in Mauritius even the worst day is a good one. Such a pity about the coral taking a hit. It would be good to see a video on people or companies working on repairing and regenerating the coral growth on the reef.

Use Johnsons baby shampoo ti clean your snorkel mask lenses both sides then rinse them out and off you go. No fogging.

Hi Lucy, dishwashing liquid works well to keep a mask from fogging up. Drip a little Wash onto a clean and dry mask lense, spread evenly to cover the lens well, rinse very gently. Voilá!

Mauritians are one of those people who fell down trees like mad men. I don't know why they had to cut those filaos, coconut trees in that hotel with the BobCATs. No wonder their stock of drinking water is less than 20% which is ludicrous in a country within the humid tropical zone... and the dire state of the bleached corals... what a catastrophe... marine fauna didn't ask for that and are unconsciously suffering the consequences of competition for food under accrued stress
