This is what I love about PlayStation, spending time to talk about a large fan base disabled. Awesome work guys.
onur ilbay I aint talking about money or games man. I don't see any other hardware company taking the time to talk about disability in the gaming world.
In the past five months my entire world has been turned upside down because of a really bad shoulder injury and nerve damage in my left hand. Gaming is incredibly difficult for me. Anything paced faster than Pokemon is a challenge for me to keep up with.
This entire panel brought a smile to my face and warmth to my heart and means more than I could possibly ever write out, especially since my thumb is already starting to twitch just from having to hit the space bar so many times.
Thank you Playstation, thank you panelists. I wish I could shake all of your hands today.

I just cut my tendon in half in august, so I had a very similar experience, it was really hard to play anything, hope you are healing well, my thumb is at about 75% it's original capability. It blew me away just how much a thumb matters, I had taken them for granted up until then! Heal up!

Everytime I think about losing fingers, I think about not being able to play video games anymore. The thought chills me.

I have low vision. Thanks for PlayStation adding that zoom feature on the PS4. Wish rockstar would act on access ability as font size is way too small.
I lot of PS4 games have this issue, tbh. Text is way too small in a lot.
Totally agree. Hate those games with small text and no options to increase size. After watching this panel, i'll definitely make sure to email the devs next time I see something like this again.
True, I noticed this the most with The Witcher 3.. jeez.. and I have 49 inch tv..

Until I saw this video it never occurred to me the difficulty that some gamers face. I think that what these people are doing is really great. I hope all game developers work towards making games more accessible for everyone.

This video is a discussion of making games Accessible and you do not even put captions on... Want to make it accessible? Start by adding Closed-Captioning to all your videos... Btw... This was a wonderful discussion. Thank you for bringing this to the PlayStation nation. Gave me much needed insight and things to think about in the future in regards to game accessibility.
How about accessibility to games you bought on the PSN store on your account, when your account isn't the primary account, when you have no internet?

I walked around this entire convention for two days and although I don't regret it because I wanted to hit up all the booths possible. But seeing this now makes me wish I took a little time out of that to sit down and listen to this panel. Better late than never.

I am normally able to play every game I want, though my fine motor skills are limired (especially right hand). I was really really positively suprised that in Uncharted 4 not only I can change (or at least swap) controls but it is also possible to just hold button instead of mashing it. Mashing buttons is nightmare... Many thanks to every developer who thinks about accessibility.

No Closed Captioning on a talk about accessibility? You could at least add the automatic captioning if you don't have the resources to get proper captioning done!

Absolutely loved this. Just one thing though, I wish that you guys had touched on the future of VR gaming and disabilities. As a disabled person in a wheelchair I have held off purchasing the PS VR because of my limitations but I certainly would love to be able to get into that side of gaming. I hope that there will be options in the future for me to be able to play. Awesome panel, even made me get a bit teary at just the overall positivity of everyone's attitudes which is something that you don't get to experience a lot of when it comes to disabilities.
Also where can I get Tara's scarf?! I can't find it anywhere!

Phenomenal discussion PSX! I've been watching my wife go from loving to hating games due to an extreme case of Ruematoid Arthritis, and have many ideas in my brain for custom builds of controllers, which may utilize 3D Printing, or even break into a whole new field for accessabilities. (watch me play pinball on my channel)XD I'll be figuring out to communicate with these panelists, and I'm also opening Uncharted (part 2) now! Great Job Naughty Dog! :D

Video about accessibility without captions? It's one thing to not caption your videos. It's another thing to not caption a video about how concerned you are about accessibility.
they put the video up immediately after the panel, so accurate captions understandably weren't available yet, they're on the video now
The live not 100% accurate captions are still far more accessible than no captions. No excuse for not having those right away.

Enable all dont divide! Its not difficult! Seems more like a publicity stunt does this as only minimal accessibility features have been implemented. Feel like its more about the money & majority these days. I used to love gaming. Ps4 features allready getting closed down! What happens in years when fancy a bit of retro gaming & pull out the ps4 & servers are gone? Back to the mega drive i guess at least its easier to load & get straight into the game
Accessibility? Hmm, somebody should ask the Fallout 4 players how accessible Sony is. Or the people trying to get customer help from Sony? And yes, I'm on PS4. Have been since the Red Ring of Death claimed the life of my 360 four times in one year. Sony makes great products, (at times) but they are FAR from accessible.

this is anti-diversity. if everybody's special nobody is, that's how the saying goes.
you can't have a jack of all trades that is a master of everything. all you get is a product that panders to every market but no gamer that feel compelled to specific aspects will feel satisfied.
this is an extremely safe and anti-diverse middle road to go. this is the direction gaming has underwent, a direction that has made it mainstream, but one that has slowly caused a lot of apathy and disinterest from a lot of seasoned gamers including myself.
