Then i got the one head light that I needed, finally got a front bumper, next will be new motors for the driver and passenger front seats....seat belts(recently jammed on me). The more I work on it the more I find that needs fixing. It is my only vehicle, so it's gonna take a lot longer than I want to get it in brand new 2001 showroom shape.

You can use the emergency jack, and a toolkit is at most 100$, a welder can go as low as 60$, and a saw at most could be 200-300$, not bad in total. And the knowledge can just be learned from TH-cam videos and various other things, you don’t need a college degree to pop a hood and replace some oil.

Chuck Jones , He can’t sell it, it would be a liability, shops get sued for repairing vehicles and not following manufacture repair instructions. People could get really hurt in a crash since the car is no longer structurally sound.
Batman , I guess he could make them sign a liability waiver, but selling a car without making sure that the person understands that it wasn’t repaired correctly and that it’s potentially dangerous in an event of an accident can probably get him into legal trouble

Wow, about 2 years ago I saw a video that is still up, with a kid that bought a beat up miata same as yours at the start, but it was running, FOR 800 DOLLARS. I can't believe it. He could've bought a junkyard and rebuilt it, wow 900 bucks, amazing work.
The person that wrecked it probably only had liability insurance and therefore the car does not have a totaled loss title. So, what this fella is doing would result in some serious issues in the event he crashed into someone and they got hurt. These cars are easily totaled in an accident and they are available all the time because they are used and abused by illegal street drifting and some track drifting.

@@cherryhill2020 theres these things called crumple zones on frames that are specifically designed and place onto the frames to protect the people in the cabin. He does awesome work but I would not want to be in that thing if he ever hits something head on.
Its really only a risk to yourself so if you're willing to accept that risk then have at it i say. Its a shame the US is one of the few places where people are allowed to make such choices for themselves. Here in the UK a check engine light is enough to deem a car "non roadworthy", its a clown state.

Wow, about 2 years ago I saw a video that is still up, with a kid that bought a beat up miata same as yours at the start, but it was running, FOR 800 DOLLARS. I can't believe it. He could've bought a junkyard and rebuilt it, wow 900 bucks, amazing work.

The person that wrecked it probably only had liability insurance and therefore the car does not have a totaled loss title. So, what this fella is doing would result in some serious issues in the event he crashed into someone and they got hurt. These cars are easily totaled in an accident and they are available all the time because they are used and abused by illegal street drifting and some track drifting.

@@cherryhill2020 Ilegal in Canada. Your car being stronger doesn't make it safer. Roll cages protect the cabin and not the intentional crumple zones for a reason
@@cherryhill2020 theres these things called crumple zones on frames that are specifically designed and place onto the frames to protect the people in the cabin. He does awesome work but I would not want to be in that thing if he ever hits something head on.
Its really only a risk to yourself so if you're willing to accept that risk then have at it i say. Its a shame the US is one of the few places where people are allowed to make such choices for themselves. Here in the UK a check engine light is enough to deem a car "non roadworthy", its a clown state.

Could never see this being legal in the UK either, watching him cut and weld the front end is dangerous. Would have been written off instantly and be at least a Category C.
Haida same for Australia. Once a car is written off, it’s only use is a bushbasher or an illegal skid machine. You can’t drive a written off car.
@@Hai_da is that a rebuilt title equivalent? If this car was newer it would probably have been a salvage title, but the person who owned it probably just had coverage for injuries. I live in a state where we don't have inspection, so I'm not the most educated about these things.
Honestly man, I wouldn’t mind a raw edit just like this but with no music. Musics cool but it can be a little intense, the actual sounds of the video would be preferable in my opinion.
