  • Ultralight bank fishing Central Park, New York City!
Welcome back adventurers, in this adventure we travel over 1,500 miles to fish in New York City's Central Park ponds and lakes. We ended up with a total of 3 videos in this series, and in this first one we catch several nice bass including a couple of nice smallmouth bass up to 3 pounds. Central park is amazing, and we can't wait to share with you guys and go back again! All fish were caught on 1/8oz Rooster Tails, a Lew's Ultralight reel and a 6' light action rod with 6lb green line, I don't remember the brand

My fav fishing experience was peacock bass fishing in Puerto Rico. Caught so many different species of beautiful fish. Central Park fishing seems like a cool experience that I never even considered. Just added it to my bucket list!

It is a VERY cool place to explore, hike and fish. There are at least 4 ponds you can fish in!

I had success in all 3 of the biggest ponds, although Harlem Meer was my favorite

I wanna catch a bass in February when I go on holiday from England. Is there any chance of me catching one quick and what could I use as it is my first time visiting the states and I won't have long to fish.

Try a small Rooster Tail or other small spinner on light line. As close to a guarantee as possible

@@gofishingtexas brilliant thanks for the help, I do a lot of pike and perch fishing over in the uk and I've always wanted to catch a bass so I though I'd buy one of those tiny telescopic rods and try my luck.

For a while I thought this was the case but fished it anyway. A while back I had the cops called on me, the parks department had told them it was in fact legal to fish there. The only body of water you cannot fish is the reservoir. The loch, pond, pool, lake, and The Harlem meer are all areas that hold fish and are legally accessible.
