- Steve Andrews aka The Bard of Ely and Stephen Friedland aka Brute Force have collaborated on a song entitled "We Can Sing Together." Steve Andrews gave the first public performance of the song at Open Mic Lisbon on 26 May. The audience joined in singing the line "We can sing together."
As an introduction, Steve Andrews first explained why he was wearing a t-shirt with "Who is this Fuh-King Guy?" on it. He told the audience that it referred to Stephen Friedland, who as Brute Force, had had his song "The King of Fuh" released on the Apple label in 1969. George Harrison of The Beatles wanted the song on Apple. He called Brute Force to tell him the good news. However, sadly it was only a limited pressing because EMI, the BBC and Capitol all wanted nothing to do with the song because it contained the lyrics "All hail the Fuh King." Over 40 years later, "The King of Fuh" was finally released on Come and Get It: The Best of Apple Records.

Steve Andrews went on to explain that "We Can Sing Together" is a collaboration that Stephen Friedland initiated by sending him the lyrics and asking if Steve could come up with the music.
"We Can Sing Together" is a song for peace.
Lyrics:
We Can Sing Together
We can sing together, we can carry a tune,
To everyone in the world, to the eagles and the loons.
All of us together can convey that we care,
So peace would be the word spoken everywhere.
Yes, States and countries are just different names,
For the home we share, our home is the same.
We can sing together, we can be the tune,
That circulates the airwaves, never never too soon.
