Drinking Black Jack, AC Action, Stuck on You, and their many covers of the-then unknown AC/DC was the Friday and Saturday nite soundtrack of my life back in the late 70's. They Rocked the Silverbird, Main Act, JC's Rock Saloon, Token Lounge and others. I was a bouncer at Harpo's and got to know Gunnar, Jimmy, Charlie and Jack. If any Detroit band was gonna 'make it', it shoulda been them. I was lucky enough to get invited to their house on Garfield Rd. On their fireplace mantle, there were sbout 50 empty Jack Daniels bottles they drank on stage. I barely recall stumbling outta that house in the early morning sunlite, praying I make it home ok. Ahh, the good old days! RIP GUN!

He was playing in a band called Send More Cop's. Joey Gatoes from I think Mugsy/ weapons. His kid played Zack the guitar player in School of Rock w. Jack Black. And Mark Andrew's from Seduce. It's weird. Because Strut, Seduce and Mugsy not as good as Seduce or strut but a good band. Where great. But I didn't care for Send more Cop's. Probably because Joey from Mugsy wrote the song's. Tim. I too was around the scene back then. Strut was my personal favorite. Even though Mark Andrews is my whole biological brother I dis owned. Those guys were at every show. Have we ever met ? I was short skinny white dude that didn't look like much. Truth be told. Gunner let's just say.. Kept it from his best friend Charlie he was leaving strut to play for Ted Nugent. Fred Bear song is Gunner. It bummed out Charlie. Strut didn't go to Cali. Charlie did and stayed. Charlie also started playing with Maddam x under lesthen Steele. If Strut did go to California back before Charles Hune or Earl go involved I believe they would of made it larger then Ratt, warrent or bands like quiet Riot. Vendetta use to warm up for Strut. When the label came to see strut, they signed Vendetta. Seduce is the band to thank for opening acts. They were the first band to start having a opening band in the bar's. Otherwise Strut use to play 4 set's a night. I'm just wondering is The Veleno Jimmy playing the same number 3 that David from Seduce once owned also. ? I have the full story on that if it is.
