That's very bad if you compare THE GIRLS' GENERATION to any Girl Group of Kpop because THEM is the reason why Girl Groups become relevant in KPOP WORLD and they are the TEXTBOOK of girl groups. Them as an individuals are big names in Korea.

It's actually twice reminding you of them bcs they cane before twice and basically paved the way for the genre of music most girl groups are doing today. Even JYP, the man behind twice, said that he wanted to create his own version of Girls' Generation and years later Twice was formed.

Fun fact: The MV for Girls' Generation's "I Got A Boy" was produced by Zanybros the same company that is now representing the new Kpop soloist AleXa. In 2013 this video topped the charts and it beat American MVs by Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus, etc. for video of the year at the TH-cam video awards. SNSD are "the nation's girl group" and considered queens for a reason. :D They are the girl group, that all other girl groups who came after them are modeled after.
The guy is just a model/actor which is why you never see his face because it doesn't matter who he is.
In order of appearance: Jessica -- who is one of the two Korean-American members -- Taeyeon -- the leader, main vocal and one of the most popular female solo artists -- and Seohyun -- lead vocal and maknae (youngest) -- were the singers during the ballad breakdown section. SM is known for their power vocalists, so you will find amazing vocalists like this in all of SM's groups, including boy groups.
Fun fact No. 2: Jessica Jung is Krystal Jung's older sister. Krystal is a member of SM's former girl group F(x) who is SHINee's little sister group. F(x) is pretty much the female version of SHINee. Jessica and Krystal were one of the first -- and for a long time, only -- siblings to both be under the same Kpop company but in separate equally popular groups.
"I Got a Boy" was part of the era when Kpop songs were created to give an equal amount of lines to every member. So, because SNSD has 9 members, this song is longer than a lot of Kpop songs, which gives them time to do a lot of different things in the song. ;P
Switching up the beat in Kpop songs is just kind of part of what makes Kpop unique. Case in point, in "I Got a Boy" Jessica literally says, "Lets bring it back to 1-40" which is a reference to switching up the tempo -- changing it from that slower ballad section and bringing the song back to the faster beat.
"I Got a Boy" is structured the same way as YG Entertainment's boy group BigBang's song, "Bang Bang Bang," but "Bang Bang Bang" came out in 2015, 2 years later.
Girls' Generation debuted in 2007 so 2021 was their 14th anniversary. As you have discovered, they are known as one of the most visually stunning girl groups with some of the best vocals and dancers in the industry. As an SM Entertainment group it shouldn't be a surprise that they are such great singers and dancers. That is just what you should expect from SM groups. :D SM Entertainment is considered the vocal powerhouse of the industry and the company is known for putting a huge emphasis on finding and cultivating some of the best vocalists in Kpop. You literally can't be an SM artist without having amazing singing and dancing skills. Even SM's rappers get intense training as vocalists, so all of the company's artists are amazing singers.
SM Entertainment is the company that started the Kpop industry and they are the largest and most powerful entertainment company in Korea and around the world. SM's founder, Lee SooMan, started what we know as Kpop today way back in 1996, with the very first Kpop boy group H.O.T. (High-Five of Teenager). So the company knows what it is doing when it comes to creating mega hits and groups and songs that can withstand the test of time.

Girls generation was the original national girl group of Korea, they were so big that even until now they were so respected. They were still active with individual path. Jessica was the only one who was forced to leave Girls Generation but even though she is now so successful being the founder of the clothing brand blanc and enclare.

SNSD is the one and only Nation's Girl Group. A brilliant combination of Vocals, dance, and visuals. Also, way before BP and BTS, this group has beaten Miley, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Psy, and many more in the YT MV award for their MV I Got A Boy. They ranked 16th in Billboard's most awarded artists of all time basically topping other GG around the world. Their COncerts are on top of the most attended concerts of GGs of all time.
They are the idol of idols and legendary icons. They have been in the industry for 15 years. originally 9 members but Jessica left in 2014. Mow, 3 of the 8 members left SM but are still a part of SNSD.
Currently, they are focusing on their solo careers but that doesn't mean they disbanded. It's clear that they loved Sones(fandom name) so much and they promised to never break that.
TAEYEON is so successful with her solo career. She has a recent solo INVU which topped Korean Media sites and in other countries as well. She has won daesangs and hailed as OST Queen.
JESSICA has her own business which is also very successful and has been writing books with her Kpop experiences.
SUNNY is a radio host and MC in many shows.
TIFFANY is also pursuing her career both in America and in Korea and as you know, she was one of the Judges in Girl's Planet.
HYOYEON is a DJ with the stage name DJ Hyo and she has also released many solos which are all so BOP!
YURI is an awarded Actress in Korea. Her series Bossam is so highly ranked and she was highly praised for her acting proving that idols turning actresses is actually possible. currently a judge too in My Teenage which is also a survival group. She is also a big-time model.
SOOYOUNG is another big actress in Korea and she has recently had her mini virtual concert where tickets were sold in just a minute. She's also a model and host.
YOONA is another actress and I'm telling you, she is one of the biggest actresses out there thanks to her outstanding visuals and awesome acting talent. She is the nation's center and big-time model and ambassador.
SEOHYUN is as always the pride not just of SNSD but SK as a whole when she represented and sang North Korean song during the South K's peace concert for North Korea. She is also one hella successful Actress and model ambassador.
Individually, they are powerful and as a group, men, they can strike K-pop. Once a legend, always a legend.

they are legends, I had the luck to know GG in 2010 with Oh! and fell in love with this girls, I became a sone immediately.
As you saw, Girls' Generations' (SNSD's) last comeback was as a sub-unit called Oh!GG which debuted in 2018 with the 5 members who are still with SM -- Taeyeon, Yoona, Yuri, Sunny and Hyoyeon. "Lil' Touch" was the name of the unit's debut song. (In your title on your reaction video it should say 'Lil' Touch', not OH!. "OH!" is one of SNSD's songs, but it was not one of the ones you reacted to. OH!GG is the name of the sub-unit.) As you see, SNSD is still an active group. However, Jessica Jung left the group in 2014. So they are now an 8 member group. Then, in 2017, 3 of the members left SM Entertainment -- Tiffany, Sooyoung, and Seohyun. But all 3 have said they have not left SNSD and would like to still collaborate with the group in the future. (Hence, why they created the sub-unit, because they aren't working as the full group at the moment.) All 3 are now working on their solo career. Since "Lil' Touch" the other 5 members of the group have also been focusing on their solo careers for the past 3 years. S💓nes (Sones) are anxiously waiting for their comeback, which has been rumored might be this year for their 15th anniversary. Girls' Generation's "Gee" was released in 2009 -- 2 years after debut -- and it has a pretty simple story. How I interpreter it is the girls are mannequins in a clothing store that come to life after store hours when no one is watching. Kind of like if you have ever seen the 1980s American movie called "Mannequin". They all have a crush on the handsome young store manager, who is played by Minho from SHINee. The girls are tired of being trapped in the store and one night they decide to escape. Minho comes back in the morning and discovers that the mannequins are missing, but I guess he isn't too concerned because he is employee of the month and he is on cloud nine because the girls all kissed his picture. There is no deep story there, it's exactly what you see. :D
On a side note: SHINee is SNSD's little brother group and they debuted a year after Girls' Generation. As label mates they often are featured in each others' MVs. As you have seen, Minho is the store manager in "Gee" and Jessica, a member of SNSD, was in SHINee's "Sherlock" MV.
SNSD don't just have a cute concept, but with most of their other songs you will see they are sexy and fierce. They are different than most other Kpop girl groups. They are all super gorgeous (all known for their beautiful image) and yet very girl next door-like and very relatable. They are also known for their dancing and vocals, just like all of SM's groups.They are legends in the industry for a reason.
"Gee" is one of SNSD's most famous songs and it is probably one of the most well known Kpop girl group songs of all time. If you ask anyone around the world if they know any Kpop songs, at least one of the songs they will mention, and probably do the dance too, is "Gee." They are so well known that pretty much every group in the industry, both girl groups and boy groups, know these songs and dances and probably have even done a cover performance at least once in their career. If you have ever seen boy groups doing girl group dances, then I am sure you have seen them dance to "Gee." It's pretty much a go to song.

This is my first ever song I heard from them and first kpop group I know😎
Please react to HyunA or Hyuna. She is a solo artist but she came from multiple groups as she debuted at such a young age (15 years old, i think). I love her simply for being a perfectionist thus being so particular with her performances, her singing, her rapping, and how she brings herself in live stages. I must also mention, she is the sexiest goddess out there imo. She has been around since the 2nd gen too (around 2009 i think) and still does release music to this day. She is from CUBE entertainment, and left in 2019, and signed with PSYNATION which is PSY's very own entertainment agency, along with Jessi and many other artist.
