The process will be different for me. I'm installing an Aftermarket Woodgrain steering wheel on my 07 Camry. So those T30 screws I won't need to put them back on, because I'm installing an NRG hub kit, and an NRG Quick release. I need to invest in a steering wheel puller though. Also to turn my Airbag light off after installing my new steering wheel, NRG gives you 2 SRS resistors wires, you connect one onto your AirBags. As for the horn, there should be 2 wires that comes with the horn button on your Aftermarket steering wheel, it connects to your quick release.
@@alltsab ok thank you. Your right just to be safe. And if my steering wheel is slightly misaligned, would this be a good time to "realign" it when i put back the wheel?
I don't think so because from the clock spring it goes to a relay, not the horn directly. See if it does it with the remote. If it does you could have bad horns or bad horn ground, or possibly bad relay contacts. When the clock spring is going bad it will usually not work at all, or work only sometimes.
According to clock spring bad your panic should still work as you can see in this video. Unplug your horn apply 12volt batter to it to see you have horn sound. Sometimes the horn is dead. Good luck
Whoever’s watching this, you have to align the clockspring properly while installing it. Oh and don’t waste your money on eBay junk as it likely won’t work
@Michael 534, My Airbag sign is on and 90% time horn doesn't work. Mechanic says I need to change the clockspring. And want to charge more than 850 USD. Can you suggest what to do? Car: Toyota Camry 2012

When I look up Cockspring for 2005 Avalon it is listed as Airbag Cockspring. Is that the right part to fix the horn problem or is is a dofferent part?
I just did one on a 2015 Camry, non of the steering wheel controls worked including the horn BUT the air bag light was not on.

Do I have to disconnect the battery m if theres no airbag installed? My car was in an accident so its already been used and removed.
You probably don't need to but you dealing with electrical for safe side just disconnect for in case.

Didn't show how to disconnect air bags. Steering wheel didn't come off with the middle nut.
My 2009 Camry horn sounds weak , I am wondering if is the se issue

Under fuse it uses a relay integration
