This could / will take a beginner at least 2 hours, if you're not left with your Honda sitting in your garage with no steering wheel! You should have the car in the on position before reconnecting the battery so if the airbag deploys, it's not in your face. It will deploy with you outside the vehicle

Hey man So I got frs 2016 and while installing my new quick realease I broke my clock spring then I bought a new clock spring then install it, all of a sudden my abs and track control pops out how to get rid off it.

I can't believe they use a big roll of ribbons. I would have thought it was metal rings with terminals rubbing them or maybe a bunch of slip rings with brushes.
Slip rings work if you need infinite number of turns, but the brushes in them wear out after a while (like any electric motor). A ribbon cable works when the turns are limited and is more reliable
Hi Speed i have a Code: C1231 Steering Angle Sensor Circuit popped up on my 2009 Venza after replacing the Steering Rack, although the centering of the rack was way-off. so After i took it in to a dealership for alignment, i still notice the traction and VSC light is still on....then i tried using my OBD Scanner to clear it still it won't go away then i drove down to the dealership same thing they could not clear it. I then perform zero calibration on it still the VSC light won't disappear....Pls what else can i do? Thanks

Part store in my country call it "spiral cable". Saw people bought this item quite often, but I never know the function of these part until I watched this video. Since my horn always works even when I punched it hard, so it appears to me my car spiral cable or clock spring never broke 😂

The metal contacts are probably a slip ring
Those allow for an infinite number of turns
But the contacts in them may eventually wear out.

Brake pad is wet its normal for it to squeal until the pad gets hot it goes away
Sway bar bushings if it squeaks on bumps

Get one that fits your vehicle specifically.

Came across this video after breaking 3 ribbon cables on 3 different clock springs because I did not know how to reset them( put it in the middle)
Yes it has to be centered first
If you leave the bolt in the middle of the steering wheel on a bit it can save you smacking yourself in the face with the wheel when you rip it off.

Those things never broke on my car.
It's a wear item that usually doesn't break. If you remove the steering wheel from the shaft and spin it, it can easily break.

There was some grease inside the clock spring when I opened it up.
Looks like a spirit replaced the main point off camera and makes the video half pointless
