Broken Piano Tunes technically he fired 2 clips at them. (I don't know the exact rounds the combine gives of per clip. Lets say 10) he technically fired 20 at them
I remember Bungie talking about this in the Halo 2 commentary. They mention a lot of features and ideas they cut out of Halo 2 in the final months to meet the release deadline to where it seemed they cut 50% of the game out. I wish we got a Halo 2 Uncut Edition thrown in with Halo 2 Anniversary. Great work showing this to us.
I guess if they ever make an anniversary edition of halo 3, they could just throw 2 missions between the two and sew both games together. I haven't really read much about halo 2 cut content, but given what I have saw , much of the content they cut is in halo 3 in some form or another. I always though halo 2,3 is like sonic 3 and sonic and knuckles, just 1 game cut into 2 segments.
Grim, you are wrong. Microsoft wanted their game out by Christmas 2004, overambition was present, but it went to shit when that deadline was placed. Luckily the game was still amazing.
Sure, Microsoft deserves a part of the blame for not moving the deadline when it was clear they had to, but Bungie is largely to blame for the state the game shipped in. Everything went to shit for them after E3 2003, they even had to rebuild their entire engine almost from the ground up because it didn't run on the Xbox properly! In short; yes, they both are to blame, but Bungie deserves a bit more of it imo.
Briskeh But they're still not the same as the Juggernauts. The Flood Tank is like the Promethean Knight of the Flood, while the Juggernaut is like the Warden Eternal of the Flood.
Your video format really reminds me of the mid 2000s style of Halo videos I used to watch all the time as a kid. Your channel is like a nostalgic time capsule!
I think they are hard becuase they were not 100% programmed so they don't have the critical weak points like the orange skin in the hunters or head in a lot of other enemies.
I remember somehow getting these guys to show up in my game on some occasions and getting annoyed cause I couldn't really kill them without it taking forever (I was little so I was playing on easy) but when I would tell my friends about it they would get confused, and a year or two later I couldn't reproduce it and I looked all over for these things, just to find videos of camera based screen capture and saying they were cut from the game and needed to be modded, and then there was little ole me sitting there frustrated at the world and their ignorance cause I actually played with these juggernauts a good amount of playthroughs (my most avoided level cause of this)... Turns out the Xbox my dads friend let me borrow while he was on year leave was mod chipped (Xecuter I believe) and the copy of Halo 2 on the HDD was a modded copy TL;DR - Grew up with a modded console and Halo 2 copy, so I thought these annoying beasts were a normal occurrence
More mod revisits would be great!! Please keep going with what your doing, these old halo videos are so nostalgic, and im getting into halo again to revisit all these glitches and easter eggs you're posting! Ive been watching you from the beginning, thank you!!!!
Oh my god...... 😢 How time flies. Makes me wanna cry. I was in highschool at the time of typing this, and here I am pushing through horrible daily struggles of life and joining the military. Love to all who read this
Sam Swick your comment makes no sense lol. You said: “Shoots a few shots” and you’re pointing out the fact that he said they’ve taken a few shots and they aren’t dead
He legit just Shoot 2 full carabine magazines Even in normal-heroic that would kill most of the non high rank enemys , plus a plasma grande stick would kill any normal enmey beacuse it's coded that way
These are in the halo arcade rail shooter Halo:Fireteam Raven. I was amazed seeing them because I remembered watching videos like this showing them off.
Alex I remember that from seeing videos of these. Notice in Halo: Fireteam Raven, the Flood Juggernaut was given a death animation after a long time of not having it. The death animation for the Flood Juggernaut is the explosion into pieces which is similar to what we see in the Carrier Forms.
Another bug with the ai or damage related part is that a couple of the melees don't do any damage. Like the one where it looks like it tries to stab with the arm, it makes the sound, but it doesn't cause damage.
Just when I think I know everything I need to know about Halo glitches after spending most of my child/teenaged-hood glitching out of maps SP and MP; Generalkidd hits me with another thing I didn't know about and I love it.
I think it would be a great way to expand the content of the channel a bit more, adding mod revisits into the mix. Of course there'll probably be a "hey you're copying gamecheats13 bleh bleh bleh" here and there, but this is something more worth relating over than taking sides over originality. It doesn't need to be anything massive or heavy in terms of modding, but if there's anything you really want to try, I think quite a few of us would be totally supportive of it. Growth is good
Also I remember when my friend and I were about 11 or 10-ish, we had heard about the Flood Juggernaut and gullibly tried to follow a TH-cam tutorial that would "unleash" it in the game, and we had to have tried for at least an hour or two before giving up, but we had genuinely believed it was a scary Easter egg that had to be unlocked, lol
Awesome video! Yeah I would enjoy if you could bring more hidden halo details to the front, I've been playing halo for over 10 years and I had no idea those thing existed. MOAR SECRETS
You should look into the "AI Revision" Xbox mod for Halo 2. It added AI into multiplayer maps, but I don't think it has a PC port and needs a custom console.
I didn't see it in the video, but they also have a completely finished jump attack where if they're too far away, they will shake the leap at you, and if they land on you, it will kill you, dodging it will shake the screen slightly.
I remember the Halo 2 city map - Headlong? we were always trying to climb out of the map to a secret room where one of these guys supposedly was. Also best multi-player map ever.
I got the special edition of Halo 2 and it included a second disc full of info about cut content including this and the Mongoose (which was later introduced to Halo 3).
I'd definitely love to see more cut content and mods. Especially some of those old Halo Custom Edition mods. Maybe even some tutorials since I never figured out how to use them back in the day .
I have to admit, some of the enemies in this game were pretty OP. Brutes were tough to kill with small-arms fire, and were pretty hard to avoid when they started berserking. (which I wish they would still do in later games. They became considerably weaker in Halo 3.) And then there's these guys, even though they were cut. This isn't really a complaint. But they really should have given certain enemies a weakness. Sort of like how Hunters get a weak-spot. Like these guys. They only seem vulnerable to explosives. If they were included in the game, I'd have it that an energy sword is the weapon of choice when fighting these guys so that they couldn't one-hit you. You'd have to be nimble and fast, but it would've been the best chance you had. So you could slice off their tentacles--which would regenerate anyway after a few moments; and then focus on its body with plasma-weapons and explosive weapons until it goes down. I must say though, I do like how blunt-force attacks do stun them when you aim low. A good punch to the balls--even if those balls are flood-infected--have gotta hurt.
a bungie guy was like "instead of lots of enemies that die in a few shots, lets just have a couple that you gotta shoot for a long time! we dont want the player having too much fun." and thats how Destiny was made
Also on the second mission of halo 5 (Blue team) In the Large open room where you can get the ULTRA banshee. There are like 3/4 more of the nodes, one is near a sword and the other is by a plasma pistol, I triggered one and it made the Grunt birthday sound, but I have no clue what it might've changed in the game. HALP MEEE
they look like the big super flood unit in halo wars 2 the nightmare awakens expansion. they might of used that model and built it up for this expansion.
everyone here is wishing that this was put into the game or a warzone boss but did everyone forget about flood tanks?.... they're cool too they are basically the same thing
For anyone who wants to know if the Juggernaut is canon the answer is yes, they are in the book "The Mona Lisa" and the movie/animation of "The Mona Lisa"
i love how old school this channel is please never change
Yoseph ikr we need more channels like this I swear he is like the only one still doing halo 1 2 and 3 glitches
NEVER
im was just going to comment that...
the best thing about it is the intro
TheMushroomWarrior # of course not, heard of terminus trickocity(?) sth like that before?
(fires two bullets at them) "As you can see they've taken quite a few hits and we still can't take them down."
Lol
Broken Piano Tunes he shot them a shit ton in the begging and threw nades at them
A-Aron Arroyo Still funny.
Broken Piano Tunes technically he fired 2 clips at them. (I don't know the exact rounds the combine gives of per clip. Lets say 10) he technically fired 20 at them
well you're not wrong...
Cameron Sharif That would be cool. Too bad Microsoft had to ruin everything, it was still a great game though.
Cloud Man Microsoft had nothing to do with it. It was Bungie's own overambition that made Halo 2 what it is.
In short; yes, they both are to blame, but Bungie deserves a bit more of it imo.
The Flood Juggernaut would make a great boss for Halo 5's Warzone and Warzone Firefight!
YES
BroMos95 I'll take any flood over prometheans
the Prometheans are... simply annoying
BroMos95 we already have flood tanks did everyone forget about those?
Briskeh But they're still not the same as the Juggernauts. The Flood Tank is like the Promethean Knight of the Flood, while the Juggernaut is like the Warden Eternal of the Flood.
I knew that these were in the game, but I assumed it was just the model. A shame they weren't introduced into the game
the flood tanks in halo 3 I think are a remodeled version of the flood juggernauts here right?
Could be, I assumed they were the flood form of Hunters
If I remember correctly, I think that the flood juggernaut was supposed to be a boss of some sort.
Speculate Me hunters are made of worms though. so that would be impossible
Zero Infinity If you pay close attention you can see a few design details that are shared between them
Your video format really reminds me of the mid 2000s style of Halo videos I used to watch all the time as a kid. Your channel is like a nostalgic time capsule!
Halo 2 menu screen. So much nostalgia.
Yup
It has the best songs imo for any menu.
this channel looks like an old 2007 halo channel i love it!
I love the feel
I think they are hard becuase they were not 100% programmed so they don't have the critical weak points like the orange skin in the hunters or head in a lot of other enemies.
I've never seen this after playing halo for over 10 years! Yes please make more mod videos
Jared Vegas same yet im pushing almost 9 years lol
Ugghh watching this video makes me wanna play Halo 2 again.
Halo 2 never gets boring.
Man I remember binge watching your videos back during the release time of Halo 3, glad to see you back at it again!
I was in highschool at the time of typing this, and here I am pushing through horrible daily struggles of life and joining the military.
Love to all who read this
*shoots a few shots with a plasma pistol and carbine* As you can see it's taken a few shots and still won't die.
Sam Swick your comment makes no sense lol. You said: “Shoots a few shots” and you’re pointing out the fact that he said they’ve taken a few shots and they aren’t dead
ً Three years for a reply to pop up and all you did was restate exactly what I said. Nice.
Sam Swick I was just telling you how dumb your comment was. Though glad I could resurface this discussion that you’ve been waiting to have
He legit just Shoot 2 full carabine magazines Even in normal-heroic that would kill most of the non high rank enemys , plus a plasma grande stick would kill any normal enmey beacuse it's coded that way
Theyre massive but also fast as fuck. They catch up to you so quickly.
can we see these flood juggernauts fight hunters?
These are in the halo arcade rail shooter Halo:Fireteam Raven. I was amazed seeing them because I remembered watching videos like this showing them off.
Alex I remember that from seeing videos of these. Notice in Halo: Fireteam Raven, the Flood Juggernaut was given a death animation after a long time of not having it. The death animation for the Flood Juggernaut is the explosion into pieces which is similar to what we see in the Carrier Forms.
BTW I LOVE THIS OLD SCHOOL TYPE CHANNEL IT'S WHAT MAKES IT SO ADMIRABLE
*falls off map*
Generalkidd: “Now then” *cuts to later*
I would definitely be down for seeing you explore more of the cut content, my man. Keep up the good work
I kinda like the fact that they weren't in the final cut. gives me a reason to plug the OG Xbox back in and try this out
I'm bored as fuck, so here's my neighbor's internet password, Satellite26
Keep up the good content man. Nice to see an old school community.
oh sweet jeesus christ those things are horrifying, and here is me thinking the carriers are scary.
Please keep with the good halo games. Mods aren't my favorite but I'll still watch. This is amazing
Oh finally, someone showed these enemies off without playing loud music over it. Jesus christ.
Thank You for the nostalgia!
These are the good old times...
Bence Horvath exactly like I miss the old days of Halo not a fan of the 343 version of Halo honestly
When I was younger I didn’t know these weren’t in the game and was so disappointed when I didn’t see them
very interesting, because bungie always starts these projects and they never end up finishing them and putting them into the game.
Wow, after a decade of playing, I can't believe this is only the first time I've heard of this! Thanks for the video :)
Whatever you do I'll watch it, if it's interesting enough.
Damn watching these videos of Halo 1, 2, 3 and ODST is really bringing me back, those were the days!
Mod videos would be cool. Easter egg and secrets videos won't last forever. So mods will provide a whole ton more content.
Love your channel, this is awesome! Keep making great vids. Halo for life man
I think it would be a great way to expand the content of the channel a bit more, adding mod revisits into the mix. Of course there'll probably be a "hey you're copying gamecheats13 bleh bleh bleh" here and there, but this is something more worth relating over than taking sides over originality. Halo CE, 2, 3, ODST, Reach have so many hidden secrets that I still need to discover
Chief: Kills flood jugg
*New Juggernaut*
Ur intro always reminds me of one of those airplane seatbelt instruction videos
i had to subscribe after watching several videos, keep it up. this channel is great
Honestly I'd be into mod revisits, there's a lot of older stuff out there I'd be curious in learning about.
Jesus I never knew about this and I've been playing Halo 2 since 2004. Not regularly but damn this game was my childhood.
I didn't see it in the video, but they also have a completely finished jump attack where if they're too far away, they will shake the leap at you, and if they land on you, it will kill you, dodging it will shake the screen slightly.
Juggernauts were ported to GMod as well, and yeah, they are pretty deadly, they mow human-sized NPCs like nothing.
Mods are more than welcome, especially if they end up on your file share!
wow this was cool, these guys are freaky
Just imagine how it would have looked like with the Anniversary graphics...
It would be cool to see a hunter fighting a juggernaut
The nostalgia, please don't stop
I remember the Halo 2 city map - Headlong? we were always trying to climb out of the map to a secret room where one of these guys supposedly was.
Also best multi-player map ever.
Yes more mod revisits but only interesting ones like these where you show off interesting cut content in game files
I remember when this mod was what people talked about on older social media
I got the special edition of Halo 2 and it included a second disc full of info about cut content including this and the Mongoose (which was later introduced to Halo 3).
These things will be introduced into Halo Wars 2 this fall !! They will finally make their way into the Games !!
awesome content bro, keep it up!
I'd definitely love to see more cut content and mods. Especially some of those old Halo Custom Edition mods. Maybe even some tutorials since I never figured out how to use them back in the day .
I loved this video and how you set the expectations low for the AI battle haha. I want to see more modding videos though
They added these to the arcade game Halo: Fireteam Raven
They were to awesomeness to be ever shown
I remember hearing about these when I was like 2 and I saw a picture and I was so scared
How far would they send you flying with Sputnik enabled I wonder.
Ever seen what a giant in skyrim can do to you? Probably that
Can't imagine how difficult these things'd be on legendary. They sem like the only flood that'd actually be hard.
I love you so much
This is my favorite halo ever!
The fricken nostalgia!
Juggernaut would've been an interesting boss to fight
I'm glad this wasn't on the game.
The legendary campaign would be the hardest ever
Yes please do more mods revisited video
I have to admit, some of the enemies in this game were pretty OP.
Brutes were tough to kill with small-arms fire, and were pretty hard to avoid when they started berserking. (which I wish they would still do in later games. They became considerably weaker in Halo 3.) And then there's these guys, even though they were cut.

a bungie guy was like "instead of lots of enemies that die in a few shots, lets just have a couple that you gotta shoot for a long time! we dont want the player having too much fun." and thats how Destiny was made
They look like What Flood Hunters would have turned out as, you know without the cannons.
Yes yes more mods !! Ur awsome
I move to petition 343 to include Flood Jugs in a future Halo game. I want the flood back so bad!
I'd like to see more cut content from old halos
glad they took it out. These things seem crazy unbalanced.
That would be crazy as the first thing you fight
Also on the second mission of halo 5 (Blue team) In the Large open room where you can get the ULTRA banshee. There are like 3/4 more of the nodes, one is near a sword and the other is by a plasma pistol, I triggered one and it made the Grunt birthday sound, but I have no clue what it might've changed in the game. HALP MEEE
I fuckin love skittles
These may have been meant to be mini bosses maybe like the hunters but for the flood.
Mod Tutorials like for the Juggernauts would be very interesting! :)
I see why. they cut them
They are so strong!
Well, they added brutes and enforcers in the game, so I don't personally see a problem. Nothing some quick edits can't fix.
they look like the big super flood unit in halo wars 2 the nightmare awakens expansion. they might of used that model and built it up for this expansion.
I really hope they officially introduce them to Halo in Halo 6
I'm glad they didn't put them in The game
it would have been lovely to have played with this Flood imagine if they purpose were to have you with not another strategy but RUN!!!
i wonder just out of curiosity if they bothered to re-texture the juggernaut in anniversary, maybe we'll never know but it would be interesting to see
500 elites vs 2 floods juggernaut
Shotgun dude. You have to use the SHOTGUN!
everyone here is wishing that this was put into the game or a warzone boss but did everyone forget about flood tanks?.... they're cool too they are basically the same thing
all hail the fluggernaut
For anyone who wants to know if the Juggernaut is canon the answer is yes, they are in the book "The Mona Lisa" and the movie/animation of "The Mona Lisa"
Adam Ewan Keachie They are also mentioned in Halo Wars 2 and had its first in-game appearance in Halo: Fireteam Raven.
VERY interested by cut content
you forgot to feature their ability to jump extreme distances that does area of effect damage on landing.
i always thought this was already in the game because i ran into these guys when i played normally, they didnt appear everytime though
man i hope the flood return
anyway to mod the fov in Halo reach?
