Even some of our snow storms here would make some places declare a state of emergency. The weather is crazy BUT living in the Midwest we're almost always prepared for anything at any given time.

You guys got lucky that it dropped down to a tropical storm and not a hurricane. Also regardless of anything else, it is historic that you guys had one over there.

It was a hurricane a few days ago. Once the hurricane hit the cooler ocean water heading north it broke up and lost its high wind speeds and thus was downgraded to a tropical storm.
It’s just rain. Well it’s flash flooding in areas, there are power outages, evacuations, rescues. A person has died getting washed away in the vehicle. Lil more than a Sunday afternoon rain. Let’s hope no landslides. Will be interesting to see if there will be a storm surge esp at high tide. It’s not over til it’s over.
