I just don’t get the miracle balms though, they seem like difficult products to use (and then what is the point, really😊). But what I most of all wanted to say is that I really appreciate your natural style of make up. So many others claim to have a natural style when in reality, they use tons of product. Thanks for the warning about the milky effect of the new Sisley Sheer. That wouldn’t work on me, but I love the ones I do have. You stay very busy!! I’ve been trying to recuperate from bronchitis since mid-December. Three rounds of antibiotics later, and I’m almost there.🤞🏻 Asthma is no joke! My housework has suffered, but I really want to relax and read. I have a stack, including Proust’s Swann’s Way, but that might prove to be exhausting.😅 I’m enjoying having my daughter visit this weekend. Since graduating from college, she has become a Probation and Parole Agent. Her job required 18 weeks of intense police academy training, and she’s sailing. Hi Lexi. Great video, as always. I purchased the new Tom Ford concealer, but haven’t had a chance to try it yet. I love the Jones Roads powders (the blushes, bronzers, and eyeshadows; but I cannot stand the Miracle Balms on my skin - way too sticky for me - so I’ve decluttered them all. To get the texture to feel okay on my face, I have to powder my face so much that I have defeated the purpose of the balms all together.

I think I'm heading away from Chantecaille too. I am giving them a couple of more chances to see something wow but if not, they will move to a more occasional purchase for me. I feel like they are on a downward trend and this year has been such a great opportunity for them to really showcase what they can do but so far, it's a missed opportunity imo.
Hi Lexi. Great reviews on these products, and I appreciate the ratings of them as well. I was in Saks last week, and tried a Sisley sheer lip in the shade Chili. I wanted to see the hype. Oh my, I was pleasantly surprised! It is gorgeous, color and formula! Even my husband noticed, and said that color is beautiful on you. Which one is that?😂. I also swatched the color Flamingo. What a pretty shade that is! I didn’t purchase right then, but will order from your link when I do, since you were the one that tempted me to try these. I have a Chantecaille lip chic. I like this as well, but I need to dig in more with my lip brush to get the opaque color on my lips. I’m curious to try the Jones Road blush, but wonder if it will even show up on me, Mac NC 30. The concealer, not sure. When I run out of my CdP, I want to try Chanel’s new one.

I have used CDP concealers for the past 6 years and agree the shading is limited and my number one favorite concealer is Sisley (03) as it is creamier and the shade has more of a brightening affect which I need. I love that you continue to introduce me to new beauty products and in addition to the TF concealer from this video, I want to try the ESUM eye pencil and the Armani liquid eyeshadow. Last but not least, it is fun hearing about your “life is busy” details and you are impressive with your consistent and thorough video content while keeping up with all of your other life responsibilities AND always being so awesome to respond to our comments and help us find “really hard to get” beauty items! I bought Viseart Petit Fours Violetta because it looked so Good on you and you convinced me to give it a try, I’m so happy I did 😭 Today I purchased the Givenchy eyeshadow palette and I gave myself a kick cos I hesitated for over a year to buy it, that is until you tried it and it was clear the quality is top notch. Hi Lexi! Thank you for featuring these new products. Among them, it’s the Tom Ford concealer I am most interested because of the blanc shade. I agree with your grading on all the products (that Sisley lip shade is so deadening - what was Sisley thinking?). BTW, your hair looks great. Thank you again. (That new Valentine trend is out of control - it’s like the trend of giving gift-bags to kids attending birthday parties - with most of the contents being made “you-know-where,” and contributing to environmental pollution during manufacturing and overseas transport, and after they are thrown out. Sorry for ranting.)
The Chanel sublimage (jar) is more full coverage, creamy, and imo better than the TF. The TF is a great light texture but it is also a more sheer product in general.
Your hair looks beautiful! I love getting length cut off every year and my head feels lighter. LOL . The Sisley lip Shine formula is a favorite of mine too but I agree the new shade is too light and milky. I feel like it make my lips feel better longer than the Chantecaille. Chantecaille is my second favorite. My all time favorite lip balm has been the Dries Van Noten lip balm ( only in clear). I am on my third refill. The texture is thicker, balmier and longer lasting than his sheer formula but the scent is the same. Makes my lips feel great. I wish it came in colors.

Currently, I'm using the Bobbi Brown corrector stick with the new Dior Forever concealer, and they work together beautifully. I wish the TF concealer had more coverage b/c I'd love to use just one product and skip the corrector.
I think the TF probably won't be enough coverage but perhaps with one of the new color correctors. I am going to order the other two Givenchy correctors I think and we can see how they do with the concealer.
I love that Sisley lip formula but haven’t found the right every day shade!! I love sheer nude but wish it had a little more color and sheer rosewood is a little too pink. May try cocoa next.
Hi Lexi - fun video and I hadn't heard about the JR hair balm so that's now on my radar. I thought your make up was very subtle and fresh looking and I actually like the mascara on you - it gave a different slant to the look and was very spring-like. Having just got my first Sisley Phyto Shine lipstick I like the formula better than the Chantecaille Chic ones - it feels creamier. Unfortunately the colour I got comes out very peachy on me rather than pink and with a light olive, sallow undertone it doesn't really suit me - I should have gone with the Sheer Rosewood! I am with you on the whole Valentine's Day thing - happily for my husband, I banned him from buying flowers etc as I find it a bit over-the-top! That's not to say I don't manage to extract some sort of treat - last year a Sisley Phyto Eye Twist and the Phyto Shine this year - make up lasts longer than flowers 🤣
I'm glad you still get a treat Annie! Makeup is definitely a better investment imo too! I agree that the Sisley formula is a bit creamier than the Chantecaille and I find it more moisturizing overall. I hope you can find a color you like better. Raspberry is a brighter pink but it's sheer so it might still work with an olive undertone to give a slight pop without any worries about the undertones in the base being too cool. I still think you might like Rosewood though.

Hi Lexi, you are the beauty expert, my knowledge is minuscule, but I think the Sisley lipsticks are so superior to Chantecaille lip chicks. The Chantecaille lipsticks are just ok. Many years ago I had one and didn’t even go through it. I ended up decluttering it. I recently bought two, in one of their several holiday sales, I’m disappointed in them. I think there’s no comparison between the lip products of the two brands. Of course the price is very different as well. I may be wrong, but that’s my humble opinion. An example of what I notice, the Sisley lipstick is soft and easy to apply. The Chantecaille feels hard, feels like you a putting on an old product.
I think the previous version of the Chantecaille lip chics are better (the ones in the gunmetal packaging that have no fragrance) than the newer ones and I agree that the Sisley lip shines are better overall. My Chantecaille lip chics though are creamy and soft so you might have a dud there. Regardless, I agree that the Sisley formula is better and more moisturizing too.
I love Sonia G brushes. Have you tried any Tom Ford foundations? I was very unimpressed with the shade & illuminate foundation (Cle de Peau is way better) but I haven't tried the traceless soft matte foundation. Any thoughts on that one if you've tried it?
I haven't. I have used some samples of his foundations and found that they were nice but I wasn't wowed enough to purchase. I'm really happy with CdP in general but maybe I will try out one of his foundations after I use one up.
Run away FAST from the new Gucci foundation. The formula is great, but the colours are SO yellow. Even the cool tone shades are mega mega yellow. I even bought a slightly too dark cool shade and tried to adjust it down with purple pigment. Nope. Still incredibly yellow. Gutted. For reference, I am 110 in Haus labs and a touch lighter than O10 in Cle De Peau (L10 was too light)
I am so glad you told me this!!! I didn't order the foundation at first because I wasn't sure of a shade but I was just about to just try one. I'm glad I waited now!
Update on the GUCCI foundation. I tried shades 150c and 210N. Both were VERY yellow. I now have shade 160N as a final try, and weirdly it isn't yellow and seems a good match. So might be worth trying a swatch of your colour at your local store. Put a swatch of your best matching foundation on the back of your hand when you test, and if your shade of Gucci is a bright yellow one, it will really show up next to the swatch of your usual colour

How does Tom ford stick concealer compared to Chanel sublimage one . 😊

Cocoa is a really nice shade. It has a touch of red in it so it isn't too brown.

Hi Lexi, you are the beauty expert, my knowledge is minuscule, but I think the Sisley lipsticks are so superior to Chantecaille lip chicks. The Chantecaille lipsticks are just ok. Many years ago I had one and didn’t even go through it. I ended up decluttering it. I recently bought two, in one of their several holiday sales, I’m disappointed in them. I think there’s no comparison between the lip products of the two brands. Of course the price is very different as well. I may be wrong, but that’s my humble opinion. An example of what I notice, the Sisley lipstick is soft and easy to apply. The Chantecaille feels hard, feels like you a putting on an old product.
I think the previous version of the Chantecaille lip chics are better (the ones in the gunmetal packaging that have no fragrance) than the newer ones and I agree that the Sisley lip shines are better overall. My Chantecaille lip chics though are creamy and soft so you might have a dud there. Regardless, I agree that the Sisley formula is better and more moisturizing too.
I love Sonia G brushes. Have you tried any Tom Ford foundations? I was very unimpressed with the shade & illuminate foundation (Cle de Peau is way better) but I haven't tried the traceless soft matte foundation. Any thoughts on that one if you've tried it?
I haven't. I have used some samples of his foundations and found that they were nice but I wasn't wowed enough to purchase. I'm really happy with CdP in general but maybe I will try out one of his foundations after I use one up.

Run away FAST from the new Gucci foundation. The formula is great, but the colours are SO yellow. Even the cool tone shades are mega mega yellow. I even bought a slightly too dark cool shade and tried to adjust it down with purple pigment. Nope. Still incredibly yellow. Gutted. For reference, I am 110 in Haus labs and a touch lighter than O10 in Cle De Peau (L10 was too light)
I am so glad you told me this!!! I didn't order the foundation at first because I wasn't sure of a shade but I was just about to just try one. I'm glad I waited now!
Update on the GUCCI foundation. I tried shades 150c and 210N. Both were VERY yellow. I now have shade 160N as a final try, and weirdly it isn't yellow and seems a good match. So might be worth trying a swatch of your colour at your local store. Put a swatch of your best matching foundation on the back of your hand when you test, and if your shade of Gucci is a bright yellow one, it will really show up next to the swatch of your usual colour

Those balms I don't understand the purpose of that product except blush.
I don't really get it either but apparently they work well on dry skin to add moisture and shine all over.
