Another great production! Enjoyable watching on my 4k big screen TV. Great resolution, sound and enjoy the graphic inserts. Got a good laugh over the video ending. 👍✌️👏
Nicely done again Matt. Appreciate the complete look at this trail. It somewhat reminds me of the AT in PA (not many views, ridge walking, etc.). Thanks!
That mountain Laurel is beautiful, I've never seen it that thick. No bees or pollinators visiting it? By the way, the Meshomasic is the last refuge of the timber rattlesnake to the east of the Connecticut river. I've been traipsing through the woods and fishing areas of Connecticut for over 50 years and I've never actually seen one, but if I was out in the middle of that state forest in the less visited areas, i'd stick to the main trails and watch where I step! It seems very unlikely that youd encounter a rattler ---- they're very wary of humans since we nearly exterminated them in the state 150 years ago ---- but it's best to play It safe. I would consider it akin to seeing a unicorn!
Definitely the best year for mountain laurel in a long time! Some pollinators were out depending on the area, more than they could handle I bet. The Shenipsit's original plan was to meet the Massachusett's border at Rattlesnake Hill, though I'm sure several other areas on the trail would have qualified for that name too
