Beautiful gal Pretty little Miss Norma Jean and such a joy to listen to you sing and you sure make the show . Porter can sure put on great show and the great singing colorfull nudie suits and The Wagonmasters in their western suits and they can sure put on a show and the great Speck Rose what a comedian such a joy to listen too . Last but not least the great singer Webb Pierce. The first time I listened too this show and it was such a pleasure to listen to the Whole Show . Porter so handsome . Thankyou utube and whoever is responsible for putting it on if it wasn't for you people putting this on we would be forced to listen to the garbage they call country music it is more of a burlesque show and they should put more clothes on If I said anything more about the reruns I would run out of words.
‘The Bride’s Bouquet’ was written by Clark Van Ness who wrote the melody that Hank Williams used for ‘Cold Cold Heart’. Van Ness had used the melody for ‘You’re Still In My Heart’ which T. Texas Tyler recorded in 1949. Williams undoubtedly heard it and liked it. He wrote the CCH lyrics and likely subconsciously set them to the Van Ness tune. When CCH became a big hit for Hank and then a mega pop hit for Tony Bennett in 1951-52, Williams’ publisher Acuff-Rose was sued for plagiarism by Van Ness’ publisher. The case was settled out of court with most of the agreement sealed to this day. The only info on the public record is Acuff-Rose paid legal costs and Clark Van Ness became listed as co-writer. If you have original MGM pressings by Hank or earlier cover versions by other artists, the writer will be Williams. Later albums & CD’s will have Williams-Van Ness.
