Those are almonds, we do take off the skin by adding hot water for almost a couple of hours, after that we clean the almonds and add cold water and ice for few hours and you'll end up having those garlic cloves looking like almonds. We do love to drink green tea with mint and almonds in Tunisia.

Really nice to have you visit Tunisia. I hope you enjoyed your time. I know there are many similarities between tunisia and Morocco, but Sidi Bousaid is a village with a long history and which has inspired Santorini with the color patterns, but Chefchaouen was painted around 2010, it's just a blue city, comparison doesn't stand 😂

I don't think those guys were locals (the falcon picture inequality debacle) I heard a little hint of a different maybe middle eastern accent. But anyways, you should always haggle when buying in Tunisia. It's like an art form and a sport at the same time. The annoying thing about those vendors is they like to take advantage of everyone no exceptions, you just need to show then you're not a gullible tourist. But good video man, I hope you see more of Tunisia

      What a load of rubbish
Sidi Bou Said Tunis received its blue and white colors in the 1920s from the influence of the home of the French painter and musicologist Baron Rodolphe d'Erlanger. He lived there from 1909-1932. He played a critical role in reviving Traditional Tunisian music known as Ma'luf.

    • @mouath_14
      @mouath_14 ปีที่แล้ว +7

@@IadoreyouMaxxy Now THAT's rubbish if I'd ever hear it! Baron is not some sort of pattern inventor. Blue and White are embedded in Mediterranean culture which dates all the way back to ancient Carthage and its seaside colonies. He may have revived or popularized some cultural aspects there, but he did not invent a culture! Tunisian medinas alone where already mostly white washed with a hinge of blue. Houses inside the medinas easily date 300-400 years dating much older than Santorini itself.

Sidi Bousaid with its authentic colors is centuries old , it is the real Deal , it's sad that people keep calling it Santorini of Tunisia or now the other place in Morocco..Sidi Bousaid is the First of its kind .and you can find these colors in older neighborhoods all over the country.
Every tourisry place you know about that adopted this blue and white color is a copy of sidi Bousaid. All of them

We know the history, it was painted that way since 1907 by rodolphe d’erlanger.. so just don’t try to make up things and stop talking about things you don’t know

Weicome to Tunisia. Please do not call Bombalino , Tunisian Churro. Also , it should be eaten while it's still very warm.
Sidi Bou Said is private residential area. It's an elite area, lots if wealthy people live here and some have holiday homes here. Also some foreign officials stationed on Tunisia, live here. La Ville Bleu is a restaurant.
In the summer season, of course , it's crowded with both tourists and local Tunisians. Of course , you will pay higher prices here. In the winter season, business is slow. My relatives were here in Jan 2023, you practically have the place for yourselves .
I am a retired US citizen living in Tunisia for two years now, I love it.
Thank you very much for visiting and promoting Tunisia.

That's the tallest mountain in Tunis. The tallest mountain in Tunisia is the mountain of Chaanbi in Kassrine in the west center of Tunisia ^_^

the women said that the falcon is 20yo ahahahha but the fact that they only live up to 15yrs and for that price they charge for tourist is almost what they charge for locals , the last time they charged my friend like 20 dinars ...... anyway the most bothering thing is that they annoy and chase you to put the falcon in ur head or somthing without asking them to and then they want to get paid for nothing they are so annoying even to us as locals i hope one day the government moves them away so that we can enjoy the walking without getting disturbed
everyone reading this comment either tunisian or a tourist dont stop for these scamers and its ok be rude to them and say no '(falcon scamers or flower scamers or souvenirs shit) only if you want and ask for the price first anything above 5 dinars or 1$ just ignore and move .
also when u take a taxi allways look at the taximeter.
lastly tunisia is very beautiful country from north to south & to west to east , like chris said in the video dont let these type of scamers make you ignore to interact with the locals and normal people we realy welcome strangers from any county and we like to know more about yall , and sorry if there is any grammar mistakes
    thanks and welcome .
