I DD'ed my AW 1M for a few months last year while awaiting my new car. It's still a riot. It's back in storage now.

The 1M has been selling immediately out of the show room for either the exact sticker price when OEM even long after it's been on the road or Selling them for MORE than the OEM sticker price even after many miles of use. So people KNEW it was a classic right out of the Limited sales numbers Gate!
Yes absolutely, but in recent years we saw a jump from the 50k mark into the 70/80 range. Which is huge even for pandemic numbers

Comparing a tuned M2 with coilovers vs a stock 1M is apples and oranges outside of just looking at the interior and feeling the steering. But 100% it's the 1M all day long as a driver's car.

Yea I wasn't too impressed with our fine hosts lack of proper info nor the match up of bringing the newer car as a full on tuned version and the older underdog as a totally stock version. Not at all a proper match up. I'm pulling for them to improve in their future productions. Plus the statement about "people are starting to realize just how collectable they are". When they mega collectable right out of the show room starting in 2011.
@@friguy4444 No stock motor tuned M2 would see which way my tuned 1M went, LOL.
And as for the driving, I like the M2 - it's like they took a 1M, and said, "Ok, now let's make it soft and numb so grandma can drive it".
So if you want a soft, numb, automatic daily driver, the M2 is great.
If you want a sports car, the 1M just leaves it for dead though.

I love my s55 m2 Dct. I wouldn’t trade it for a 1 series even if it came with a supermodel in the passenger seat. I can be at 145+ in the blink of an eye and not even feel like im moving.

I will take the M2 any day, 1m time is over it’s old now
M2 is newer but 1M will always be more special and more valuable due to its rarity.
@ that maybe true but I don’t care about anything like that cause we not going to live forever, old is old and we can’t change that, am yet to drive another car in the price range of my M2C that give me the feeling that it gives to me. The 1m is a great car but I will choose the M2C over it
