I was on a school and trip and some schoolfriends and I entered a chemist on the Isle of Wight and there was Dick Emery, I was overjoyed and luckily I had a pen and notebook on hand with me and Dick Emery was so kind and obliging to give me an autograph. I have never forgotten that and he was one of my favourite comedians, a great talent!

Scene with the undertakers a great laugh, I know DE was actually a biker in real life. Great times, even suitable for youngsters. It just highlights the fact that over 40 years ago, British people didn’t complain OR get upset over certain comedy shows….but here we are in the 2020’s and people are literally wetting themselves to complain about ANYTHING, whether it actually upsets them or not, just so they think they are rebellious! Dick Emery was obviously ahead of his time, with his numerous bizarre characters and his ‘near the knuckle’ lines! Happy days!

The lady in the blue coat and black glasses with her husband played a butcher in George & Mildred. A lot of these actors
had parts on that show, like the father of that dimwitted son. He wore this sort of a bumble bee striped hat, and Mildred
absolutely abhorred him. Also, that lady played the girlfriend of Queenie's son in an episode of Queenie's Castle.

Dick Emery would not get on the TV in this day and age, due to the woke brigade. I thought he was great, and his humour gave me a lot of laughs and still does.
