- Been searching for one and finally found the right one! My car has low miles so I had to find one with even less miles than it.
Here’s a link that has step by step. It’s what I used.
forum.eurocomp...
I fitted today tft cluster to my car but when I change byte 65 to 60 I get regular fiat 500 sport screen i don’t know what im doing wrong can someone please help me
Good video! I've had a 2013 and now a 2019 Abarth. I don't remember in the 2013 but in the 2019, there's a trip/menu button on the end of the wiper stalk on the right. It controls all the other options in the cluster. Keep up the good work!
I’m pretty sure I tried that, it’s the right side but it just resets things. I’ll double check though
Thank you!!!!!
@@jkrebuilt Uhmmm. The button on the stalk resets trip meters. Factory settings are set thru the buttons on the ODO and thru the stereo's menu. On my 2018 I don't remember being able to reset color. That's a great bit of detective work you've done. The screen should change with a press of the Sport button. I might suggest, for others, put a battery charger on the battery when flashing or doing OBD changes. If the battery drops to around 12V some people have had everything lost and a mess recovering. I seem to recall that there's a setting that'll allow the boost guage to come online, at least with AlfaOBD. Sorry, I wasn't interested when I read that post. I am impressed by the software having so many languages available. My car, when at 8K miles, glitched and reset my cluster to Italian. Not being a menu choice in the stereo, it still showed English. I reset to another language and back to English and all was fine.
Hey thank you for the tips! And I haven’t seen a post about how to make the boost gauge work from a non turbo cluster to a turbo. Luckily mine is from an abarth so it worked!!
I have a '15 when I put it in sport mode the sport light comes on, which is where your up shift light is. You could probably snag that gauge/light from an automatic, you'd get the sport mode light and the boost gauge, since you don't use the up shift light anyway.
Huh! Interesting!
Awesome job! I have a 2015 Abarth, black also with the same TFT display, enjoy it!
I love it! Mine is a 2012 though… just did a little upgrade to make it look nicer haha now even my Sport has TFT. The best!!!
Why is the mileage flashing? Is that because you changed the head unit and no longer use the blue and me module
自分も同じようにアナログからTFTメーターに交換しました。すごく簡単でした。👍
Hey I have a question after I did proxi, the steering column didnt work, the headlights, indicators, wipers dont work do you know how fix that?
Uh oh I don’t know I’m sorry!
@@jkrebuilt and another question after I installed the cluster I cant change the time from the buttons how can I do it?
@@user-se1np7su2f the other stuff not working… I have no idea… the time not being able to adjust? It’s probably because your new cluster is from a newer car with the touchscreen-connect me- which is where there’s the options to adjust time and stuff. Yours probably has the blue & me regular radio with no screen. You can adjust the time with Multiecuscan though
Hi, I switch my Cluster and I have the same issue you have. Did you figure it out or not if you can please help thank you so much.
Good day! Very informative video! Thanks! Quick question: did you have to remove that resistor 121 from your OBD2 dongle?? I can't get a straight answer. Thanks!
Hey! No I didn’t, I bought the OBD2 dongle ready. The listing said “unlocked”.
Hi, I did the swap in my 2013 abarth with a tft cluster from a 2017 model (uconnect I think) but my cluster is in km, I am in the uk so I want to change it to miles but I can’t do that, I don’t have an aftermarket screen either, how can I change to miles with the multiecuscan software?
Yes you can change it with Multiecuscan
Or if you have an aftermarket stereo with touchscreen, such as an android headunit, it may allow you to that way as well!
Ohh you asked HOW
I can’t remember off the top of my head but it’s an option that’s super obvious. You just check the option. I believe it’s on the first menu. You can also change from LHD to RHD if you wanted
Hey, Great work and video! Thanks a lot! I fitted 2017 speedo to my 2010 abarth in theory it should work but it does work well! The only thing I'm missing are DRLs.. Any idea how to get them working without switching headlights on?
Finally a video fo this on a U.S. car! I'm gonna do this on my 2014 Pop (and swap in a 2017 Pop cluster).
Good luck! It’s not difficult!
Do you, or does anyone know, if the cluster is Blue&Me or Uconnect specific? Or can you change that with software? It looks like they are, so for example in this car you can’t access all the settings because they are accessed through the uconnect stereo. A B&M tft cluster has access to settings through the menu button. Is that software, or specific to the unit?
Hey that’s specific to the system so for instance if you put a uConnect on yours with blue and me, you won’t have controls to the menus.
That’s why you want one from a Blue n me. Usually the 2015 model
Salve per far funzionare il manometro sport hai modificato qualche byte?
I did not, it just worked
what is the byte number for the abarth that has the revs in the middle?
Do your steering wheel buttons still work with that new radio? Tks
They do!
@@jkrebuilt cool. Tks man
the boost gauge doesnt work when you select the 500t theme, cause it shows the boost on the main gauge (because 500t didnt have the second gauge showing boost)
That makes sense! But works on mine cause it was from an abarth yay
I just installed the TFT cluster but the mileage seems to be blinking. Tried proxy alignment but doesn't seem to work. What may be the cause of it ya?
You may be doing the procedure wrong. It took me a couple tries.
Good morning. What is the brand of the car radio? Cordially.
It’s just a Chinese one from eBay. It was $150
Thx for this video, i've had a Fiat 500 Lounge 2019 and i want to do the same, do you think its gonna be easier than yours to install since mine don't have Sport Mode ?
Yes it’s the same procedure. Your 2019 is also a turbo. Think all 2019s are
If you're coding the miles on it, why does it have to have less miles on it?
Where did you get the obd2 cable thanks
eBay
Can you link me the store where you bought that car radio?
It’s an Xtrons … Xtrons.com
But I ordered through Amazon
My 2013 500 abarth has had a TFT fitted. The mileage is correct but the Time and Date option along with others are missing from the menu screen how can i correct this? and i now have constant flashing time as i can't set it. thx
What blow off valve are you wearing sounds perfect
Hi! Its a GFB div valve… and the Injen Intake
My arbath is 2016 comp it has the nice clocks like your new one i dis notice the gas meter on your.s wasn't working like mine my one moves with the rpm also like someone else said i have lots of items on my trip button on the wiper stalk
Odd question but do you know if the clusters can be swapped backwards, eg digital back to analog? I have a 2015 and I actually prefer the analog dials. Would it require coding as well?
That’s a great question!!! I would think it would if yours has the uConnect or not. Because then the odometer will blink/flash
@@jkrebuilt Sounds good. Thanks for the quick reply! So assuming the donor car has a lower odometer to begin with, you think it would be possible to have everything function correctly, even if it might require coding? Eg. the plugs are the same?
@@jkrebuilt my car has the old-style stereo unit by the way. I'm assuming not uconnect.
@@ChrisTheDragonRider yes I think it should still work correctly but you’ll want to still match the mileage to the correct miles.
Yours has Blue & Me so it should work.
Hopefully if you do it, it goes smoothly! I’ll trade you clusters lol 😂 mine has 22k mi I think
@@jkrebuilt If you are serious about trading clusters I may take you up on that... My 500 Turbo has 36k kms so thats kinda ideal! Whereabouts do you live? I am in Canada so it's an NA gauge cluster, not sure if that makes a difference
OK,
Needing some help PLEASE.
I have looked high n low for the equipment you have to do this swap.
I have the cluster and am ready to install, but seems i cannot find the units you have on hand,
Do you have a good link to these items,
Or the items model numbers?
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
HELP STUCK AND STRANDED.😢
Sorry just saw this. So you need the OBD2 Adapter and reader? The Eurocompulsion website has a nice step by step guide with links to the obds and adapter needed. Let me see if I can find the links to mine
that would be very helpful thank you@@jkrebuilt
@pintobobster here’s the OBD2 cable with the yellow fiat adapter

@@jkrebuilt,
Thank You,
Purchased the items, should arrive by the 25 of October.
Again,
Great video and instructions.
@pintobobster let me know how it goes!
We can change the clock on the tft with the program?
So, if you have blue & me, you’ll need a TFT from a 2015 that HAD blue and me. Then you’ll be able to change the date and time from cluster itself.
If you have a TFT cluster from a car that had uConnect -the screen- (this is my case) then yes you can use the program to change the time and date, since these settings are adjusted via the uConnect screen. Some aftermarket headunits also let you change that. Hope that helps!
Did the turbo gauge work as usual when you drive? And did you get it from a euro car or us version car.. also is there any problems like lights etc..
It did!! Maybe because it came from an abarth !
@@jkrebuilt cool!! What about other warnings lights and so on. Also is it was taken from us or European like uk cars?
@@sarial-saleh7201 everything works as it should. And it came from a 2019 abarth auto and installed it on my 2012 abarth manual. Both US
It works fine with any TFT. But sometimes you need to change the byte. You can see this procedure on 15:08.
The shift light will not work correctly after installing this TFT. It is because there is no shit light on the restyle model in the boost gauge. There is a "Sport" indicator instead. So you will get the "Shift up" message when you turning on the sport mode.
@@sheva4ever1 aaaah ok that makes sense
How you like the android head unit? Does it block lots of air flow?
I love it but yes it blocks air flow
Well… I replaced it. lol 😛 it was waaaaay too laggy and CarPlay stopped working. Got the other Xtrons unit that doesn’t block vents as much and it’s flawless
I really appericate your videos! I have done a tft swap on my 2013 Abarth with a 2018 TFT display using your help. Here are some issues i'm having that maybe you can help with.
I was able to stop the milage flashing and then changed the milage higher to match my car.
Even though the distance is correct in km the display will not change to miles even though my units are set to miles in multiecuscan.
problem 2 : I changed byte 65 to 60 but get a sport or turbo display, I changed it to 00 and got pop display 20, 40, and 60 all seem to be a sport mode. can't get abarth back even though that is the way it looked before proxy alignment
Problem 3: TPMS light on even though system is good and tire pressures are good. For now I have set the system to not present to kill the light
Problem 4: the instant gas milage meter on the right side of the display doesn't work.
Problem 5: the turbo boost gauge is dead before the proxy aligment it was powered up.
Problem 6: i can't set my clock or date because the button options are gone.
Hopefully have solved some of these issues :)
TIA
I was able get my display into miles from the aftermarket stereo after some work. I still don't have the clock set. so problem 1 solved from your video :)
Problem6 solved through stereo as well. I have now caused another issue though. I accidentally added 80 in byte 65 and now the mileage is flashing again even though when I run proxy alignment with the correct numbers and it says alignment is good still flashing.I can still change the look from pop to sport. So be careful adding your numbers! I do have a code now on the BCM when I use my scanner. I haven't been able to clear it yet so Im hoping the bcm isn't locked in some way.
I lost my DRL any ideas when I coded this
I don’t have the software in front of me but the DRL are an option you have to activate in the BCM I believe. It should be there on the software. I just can’t remember exactly where. But it’s there
Is it going to be the same cluster as a regular Fiat 500 cluster? I have a 2010 Abarth 500c with the old analog cluster. Wondering if a regular Fiat 500 digital cluster is the same cluster as the price for a regular Fiat 500 and an Abarth 500 varies.
Yup I know some years came with the new digital cluster.. 2015+ certain trims. Idk which exactly.
The abarth cluster would fit a reg 500, you just have to go into the Proxy alignment settings with a MULTIECUSCAN
@@jkrebuilt So I can just get let's say the 2015 TFT cluster from a regular Fiat 500 and install it on my Abarth 500c?
Yes as far as I know, you just have to proxy align it. Just needs to have less mileage than yours so you can adjust it
Because I accidentally changed it to a regular one when re signing
@@jkrebuilt very informative! Cheers!
Where did you get your stereo and new cluster.
Both from eBay!
Cluster from someone who had it listed and the stereo is just a Chinese generic one
@@jkrebuilt Thanks.
Can you fit any year clock
Clock? You mean the speedometer? 2015 TFT with blue & me is better for the older ones with no screen
Super sprawa 👍
the right bar that shows the economy when I put it in sport doesn't work why
Idk it should work. Maybe the proxy alignment/programming wasn’t done right?
@@jkrebuilt it ended well. the car is 2008 and the speedometer is 2015. Maybe do you activate it somewhere in the program?
@@VasiGarage oh ok, I’m not familiar with 2008…. We only had them from 2012+
I wouldn’t know. Sorry!
@@jkrebuilt In sports mode the right side has a throttle position gauge. In your video, it doesn't move when you rev your engine. Did you get this to work?
@awothers72 just noticed it doesn’t work lol 🤷🏻♀️ it’s probably because this is from a uConnect car and not a blue n me
Wheres the next beetle project
Ugh I know I knowwww…. Hopefully soon
@@jkrebuilt 12up
Haha maybe… idk I should’ve gotten that Fender edition!
Working on my Fiat lately
@@jkrebuilt yes you should have ,I told you that....
I knowwwwwww :(
