29:12 I remember watching this game. The strike zone was so all over the place in this one. I even said to myself early on, "Welp. Someone is gonna get thrown out at some point." And David Ross proved me right. While that was a strike, it wasn't consistently called up to that point. I'm saying this as Cards fan btw so I'm not being biased either way. Later in the game, Nolan almost got himself thrown out complaining about the zone too.
10:45 Why don’t announcers understand that, since 2019, the home plate umpire at the MLB level has to call the umpires into conference to discuss whether or not a pitch was intentionally thrown at the batter? It’s not a new directive.
Any time Angel Hernandez ejects someone the very next words out of that person's mouth should be "You're a horseshit ump who shouldn't have a major league job."

Angel “El Ego” Hernandez.... I’m European and only watch mlb in videos like these.... why the f* do I know Angel? Cause he’ always getting people ejected by his attitude: should therefore NOT be a ref.
You mean at 27:00? I don't think that was a swing....bat was almost on his elbow/against his body...the rule on that is too ambiguous. Needs to be a firm standard. The bat did sort of swing forward...but that was more form his body twisting as he avoided the ball.
I wonder if after an ejection a player or manage has to resist the urge to smack the umpire upside the head or refuse to leave. Hold up the game for like 20 to 25 minutes
Well smacking an umpire would be a huge fine and possible jail time.. soo... and it would be dumb when the umpire made the right call. So not only would the player or manager have to pay a fine and/or end up in jail and then pay a fine outside of mlb they really would look stupid knowing the umpire was right.
@@BSE1320 While I've never seen it happen, I think umpires have the ability to declare a forfeit if the ejected player/coach/manager refuses to leave the field and dugout.
Because those videos are from closecallsports, and those moments are where the person who runs the channel is talking. I'm guessing that those parts are copyrighted or something, so the person who made the compilation just cut the audio at those parts of the video.

There are lots of ejection videos on TH-cam and no matter how many you watch there is one sure thing, Angel Hernandez will be involved in some sort of way.

I think it should be mandatory for announcers to actually know the rules of baseball because they really sound dumb when they have no idea what the rules are. And because they don't know the rules.. now people from home watching the game are getting the wrong idea of rules of baseball.. the last time I checked you arent born with a bat in your hand.. the hand has never been part of the bat. While umpires have made mistakes this year and I'm not talking about strike and ball calls because I don't care about those.. since I know most people would have a much less accurate strike zone than an mlb umpire when pitches are being thrown nearly 100 mph. But it makes it so much worse when announcers have no clue what they are talking about. That gets brought to the lower levels of baseball and more arguments than there needs to be at the high school and little league levels and probabaly why there is a shortage of umpires.
