Love these boats; love it that Bass Cat is offering Sea Dek. I hope they will offer it in the the smaller boats. The Pantera’s and the Sabre. They are on my short list for my next boat purchase. Leaning Pantera II right now.
@@brewcrewfishing Exactly why I have kept mine ……until now. I didn’t buy it with the intention of keeping it. I obviously can’t Replace it with another V20 ✌️
Just curious. Do you wish now you had waited for the Puma as opposed to the Lynx? Bass Cat is listening indeed! Great boat and great innovations from BCB and Rick Pierce!
Ken’s video series critiquing modern bass boats is the gold standard on TH-cam IMO. It seems like Rick Pierce listened to a lot of what Ken had to say and implemented those ideas into this boat. It Has to be a good feeling when the best bass boat company in the world listens to some guy from Zavala Texas and puts those concepts into reality. No doubt Ken is eyeballing this rig.
@@waylonlevins Waylon, project Stealth was in process a few years and the latches were a concept we began hunting a builder(s) for these components on 20 years ago. The latches were a 7 years project with one of the four companies we purchase parts from. In mid 2000’s we even had Perko build a hybrid because they didn’t want to go down the road we wanted and build this system. The ReFlex flooring was already Digitized and in a couple of Tour boats in 2020. Getting the final product done required more effort and you can see in Andrew Upshaw’s video that we changed the design and look from early parts. Ken no doubt hit a lot of hot topic buttons during his research, though it was not a reaction to his commentary. We already had this hull done and the deck designed and entering into the final finish stages when his video series got traffic. It took a few years for this project to be completed. The only last minute change on the final product was the passenger grab bar, because it was bare looking without it.
Rick Pierce hey rick, what model boat would you recommend that has the most leg room? Im 6’-6” 380lbs. Im also disabled and would need a stable deck that wont rock side to side and make me loose balance, i have weak legs and I’m looking for a soft ride because of my spinal injury.
Im impressed, I fish in coastal brackish water, and this boat would be perfect with the Sea Dek instead of carpet...it would make a great trout and redfish boat as well as a bass boat
Great video. Like that you took extra time to make longer video to show almost everything. I'm 6'2" with long legs. With Hot Foot, can I completely stretch my legs out, and run Hot Foot without my knees touching or even close to touching bottom of console? If possible, they will sell a lot of these. Still will have to compare everything side by side with Cougar, and Eyra (which I'm leaning real hard toward) for next boat. Thanks again.
That's why I've liked the Pantera Classic so much because of how wide it is. I'm hoping somebody showed it off from panther cove that day, but it seems like no one else care's about the vision series' boat.
Thanks for sharing my friend. This boat will be high on my list when I buy a new boat. I want to wait until the next BIG upgrade in graphs. Have you heard anything on that? Thanks for your channel. I will be waiting for you to grade this boat.
I have been following your bass boat quest series from the beginning! I’m in the market for a new rig. When you drive this boat again, please don’t forget to conduct the Slow Plane Test. How slow can that boat go before it will drop off on plane? I fish big water ( Champlain and Onieda)
@Ken...Why do they have the little step for the Hot foot? It looks like Andrew would actually be able to drive that boat if it didn't have that there and just a flat floor. Is that a short person option or something?
I will have to get with Scott from S&D in oklahoma and see which boat would fit my size the best. Just wish some of the dealers had demos to try, seems like every time a new kitty comes in, its gone in a day or two, especially this year when stock is very low from production shutdowns last year.
I really couldn't, there just wasn't enough chop on the water. I know the Lynx has 5 more inches of bow rise so that's got to make a difference. I hope to get in one soon and I'll let you know
Lighting will go real number around 5 to 6 ml tops but my uncle 65gt hat. Has 3 settings don't know about bass boats yet but great to have save our a double s many times in last 3 years
I love Cats and have been waiting to see a Caracal with the front deck stretched by 6” to 1’ foot. This new STS is the bomb but I never liked the Puma deck configuration and the two uselessly small divided boxes on the bow are not that functional. I don’t use a net so being creative enough not to compromise functional storage is a key consideration for me so you could say I would have preferred the Cougar deck. I know they needed it to be center line to maximize hull depth for the hoop but still missing a box check for me. They are however taking steps in the right direction OAL.
For some people looking for new boats in the fall to early spring, im looking myself but im worried that production will shut down again this winter from this damn Covid crap thats getting worse. Boat mfg might be open but all the small companies that supply the hardware and parts might shut down. I sure hope this country doesn’t get shut down again, we may be waiting a long time for a new boat.
Absolutely love the videos and am a die hard basscat guy but….why don’t you film the dealer meeting and stay on top of the changes for the top 3-5 boats in your review to keep everyone’s attention and identify innovation that happens across the industry?
i saw the console with dual mounts, will there be a problem having 12in. units and dual consoles with the space in between (walkable area). i notice they separated the mounts and put gauges
