  • The Hendrickson mayfly hatch of early Spring is certainly one of the finest mayfly hatches to happen each year. It is a large mid day hatch that occurs from late April into the month of June in places. The Hendrickson mayfly's hatch in large numbers and manage to tempt even the large trout that might otherwise be reluctant to waste energy on a dry fly hatch. This fly pattern is designed to replicate some of the unique features of this early season mayfly. I hope you enjoy the pattern and share in its success.

That is just gorgeous Chris. I'll have to muster up the courage to tie up a few myself. Hope you are enjoying some winter fishing!

Thanks! Glad you liked it. Let me know how it works out. It all makes sense you just need to ad some water. No Winter fishing for me. Leaky waders, I am putting back some of the flies I lost in the bushes last year. All the best!

Very nice! I like the bent hook approach! I struggle with detached body flies, the bent hook makes for a similar effect!

Hey Thanks glad you like it. Just don't bend it using your vice. I would not want you to damage your vise. Good luck.

@@ChrisWalklet I have an old Thomson to bend stuff on, I won't break that old thing!
