Fonseca is such a good player. Huge forehand and great movement for such a young guy.
Backhand ain’t to shabby either!
yep watched the kid in bucharest last week, he s awesome. But he s suposed to have great movement at his age
When djokovic say for someone have bright future than its all clear
he dress like the N1 of the WTA ahahah, it's a sign
@@pyrex52both sponsored by Fed. If Fed sponsors you, you are something special.
Fonseca is the real deal at 17. He will challenge for top 5 by 19. Great for tennis to have a South American in top 5
if he could show this level also at hardcourt, there's at least steady top10 material here
@@burital7284 This dude got his best results in juniors circuit playing in hard and grass courts
And he came 1 set down on this match and won,not very common for 17 year old players out there.
@@Josedomilho347 Exactly, Fonseca was the US Open Boys Champion in 2023. That doesn't always mean a successful pro career, but in his case it shows he's got an all round game at his age. Amazing!
agreed. 100%. excellent looking player, unlike doofus-ass Michelsen
Fonseca 17 years old...he has super potential on his shots, a lot of energy and also very good hands, no points to defend, probably top 100 or 80 at the end of the year, this guy is so good
Top 50 I dare say
Top 40
Top 39
@@user-qt5ge3ir4x Top 35
Top 20 if he gets hot in a slam! Dear French Federation - give him a wildcard in main draw!!
Fonseca - That is a 17 year olds backhand. Incredible!
Very Novak esque
He was handpicked by Federer himself to be sponsored by ON. Of course he is good
@@MarcoSolidx oh really??
@@pencilcheck 👍
João Fonseca has everything it takes to be in the top 10 in a few years. I watched the game and saw that he has the mind of a champion. He didn't get upset because he lost the first set and turned the game around easily. What impressed me most about him is the determined look of someone who wants to go far. Good luck to him.
this year top 1
Fonseca is the next player I’ll be watching out for. He’s a natural.
Fonseca has the same ball striking as Sinner but is only 17 !!
Its even better ball striking then Sinner, he is insane talent.
@@user-rb5il9zo5fIt's probably better than Sinner at 17, but it's not better than the current version of Sinner.
Dejame salvarte jjaa Sinner es una bestia pegandole.. Cuando acelera asusta la verdad el reves de Fonseca es bueno te diria sabes como quien Nalbandian suena de esa manera ese revés @@user-rb5il9zo5f
he hits bigger
@@user-rb5il9zo5f and here starts the hyping. You people...
Stunned Since I watched first round match of Fonseca in Rio. This kid got potential, omg. Brave game style and such a power already. Reminds me a bit of alcaraz when he was 17. No real pressure, all these matches are a gift in these days for him. Lets see how he develops, but for sure big big top 10 potential
The way I'm already rooting HARD for Fonseca!! He's gonna be BIG, mark my words!!
That boy Fonseca massive talent!!
Fonseca is already a monster at 17. With a couple more years of maturity and time on tour, if he maintains form, he’s gonna be a problem for Sinner and Alcaraz 😮
Nah screw that, I think he might become a problem as soon as next year. He's unnaturally talented
@@theyruinedyoutubeagain high key, you got a point. There are many contenders that could stop him tho
Fonseca reminds me of del potro, that flat back hand is a hammer
@@manuelignacioarturoocaranz1185moves way quicker than Delpo
@@user-iy8tp7vw3x i am talking about the flat and raw power.
Fonseca will be top 100 before the end of the year and top 30 before the end of next year, when he will be 19... I expect him to be top 8 at 20yrs old
rafa is the best inspiration for every young player, he neither underestimate nor exaggerate anybody he played against so far
the real deal will be against minaur
@@mercykampar6904 rafa not at his best because he didn't play last year and struggling with injuries .. otherwise de minaur is not a big threat to rafa like sinner alcaraz etc..but minaur is lucky to face out of form old rafa and he also said that after his win in Barcelona
He looked great against the kid.
The Rafa's ritual before serving or receiving is so boring.... please go to the psichiatra! E basta a metterti le mani in culo!!! Che poi le palle le toccano anche i bambini e gli avversari devono pure 😢 stringerti la mano 😢😢😢😢😢
INSPIRATION FOR WHAT? FORVtouching your genitalia in public. Come on
I’m starting to like Fonseca. ❤
How can this kid Fonseca hit such a hard backhand at 17??? Looks like a one hander speed shot! Incredible! I hope he can improve in every aspects of his game to become an all rounded player
Fonseca's stamina has improved greatly since Rio. He struggled at the end of each long match there but here maintained his pace til the end.
Fonseca is the next Sinner . The potential of this kid is huge, massive forehand. Hard to believe how good he is at only 17 .
Honestly he's got massive firepower on both ends cos some of the backhand shots I've seen so far are pretty impressive as well. He's definitely one to watch out for
Alcaraz was better but he seemed to under the radar
I feel like Fonseca is the most exciting prodigy since Alcaraz.
Fonseca at 17 playing this level ?? OMG !!! Lets hope that he continues to improve his tennis and we will see the next generation coming... GO FONSECA !!!
How Fonseca moves and how Blanch moves is the same difference between the moon and the sun
Fonseca is the younger version of Jannik Sinner.
@@teasellermodi5897 Sinner plays flat shots and is not this quick. Fonseca has more spin
@@user-iy8tp7vw3x Sinner does NOT play flat at all lmao. His backhand has the most spin of almost any two-hander
@@ammoniumammonide Proof?
@@user-iy8tp7vw3xthey show bpm on forehand and backhand in some matches
Michelsen and fonseca both showed incredible level. Theyre gonna be at the top for a long time
ON have another winner in Fonseca - Federer seems to pick the best guys to sponsor.
Trying to figure out why a 16-yo ranked outside the top 1000 is getting wild cards into the main draw of Masters events. A bagel and a breadstick is to be expected; kid is 0-3 in Challenger events and hasn't exactly set the ITF on fire either.
So true, much more deserving players that should get a shot. Darwin still has plenty of time to develop.
i dont think he should be getting wild cards but he’s managed by img who is the company that owns madrid open and others atp tournaments like miami open
@@joaopedr0_2004 Corporate greed as ever
He knows the right people...
This is the problem with 🎾 as a business. IMG and many other “players” have their finger on the scales to swing things their way. Corruption like this has broken the sport. Needs a total makeover. Great young players from developing nations get no support. Radecanu, Osaka other “darlings” of the media get lucrative sponsorships and wild cards when they should be playing challenger level tournaments like everyone else
Fonseca sensacional Brasil porraaaa 🎾🥇😎👍
This kid fonseca massive potential 🔥
Goatovic before 1 month say that Fonseca is next big thing
Wow fonseca
felix played quite well after the first set, would love to see him make a run
Picture a match between Alcaraz and Fonseca LOL.. the crowd would go deaf at how hard those baseline shots will be.
Fonseca is a 17 years old Tennis Player!!!, wow, very Federer in his strokes: clean, powerful and beautiful
Amazing poise for a 17 year old! Wow! Fast-forward a few years and where will Fonseca be!😊 Show de bola do Joao!
Very well done Joãozinho! Boraaaaa! Quem sabe passar pelo Norrie, por que não.. Si se puede!
Gasquet's backhand is always a piece of work
Wow Fonseca! Very clean and talented shots for a 17 year old! I hope he keeps going!!
Michelsen is always so respectful at net. Great maturity for a 19 year old
Fonseca is fun to watch .
Vamo João o Brasil é mais você
Fonseca's game reminds me of Federer, not as stylish, but all positive and with the "right" backhand. Fun to watch and let's go Brazil!
Richard Gasquet what a player 🔥🔥
Probably his last match in Madrid
In 2008, yes.
That was his 1000th ATP match.
One of the best backhands of all time.....majestic.
I was lucky enough to be there to see him win Auckland 2023. First time I ever got to witness that backhand in person. So good!
So happy for Sonego, very talented with an amazing attitude. Watch out for him, he's going places!
6:52 this GOT to be among the best one-handed backhand winners / passing shots ever. What a shot!
Fonseca ❤🎉
Fonseca is Brazil... coming to top 50 soon.. he will give hard time for evetybody..
I totally expected Felix to lose to Nishioka. Glad to see him pull it out. Every Felix win is a surprise these days.
It looks like Nadal had carte blanche today!
And Darwin a check blanche.
this kid must know some really high people if he got a WC to Miami open and now this.
he is managed by the company own both tournaments
whom you are talking about?
@@wajahatmalik4841 Darwin Blanch, the kid that played Nadal
I know some high people. They go to the dispensary.
@@teoc8124 Or Fonseca should have had that too since Itau the main Miami's sponsor is a Brazilian company. Now what has Blanch done though? Is it the last name I guess.
Good battle. Good win by Auger-Aliassime.
Sonega stayed calm at the end of the second set & defeated Gasquet.
Mental power house.
Hopefully we see him and Ugo Humbert on hard court later down the line of '24.
Every time I see Fonseca he may lose the first set, but the finds a solution and wins. So good so young.
Fonseca is a massive talent. Good looking kid too, he's going to be a marketing machine when he gets older
Tbh Fonseca looks like a young Federer to me. Probably less talented but calmer.
Incrivel!!!!
Fonseca is the new Sinner! incredibe tennis and strokes. Michelsen has a great potential too
I am a simple man... I see Rafa in the thumbnail, I click! 21 years of age difference is gotta be among the highest between competitors on a tennis court... mind-blowing!
That victory from Fonseca is not doing justice to the fact that he's showing this maturity and high level of play at 17... impressive!!!
Fonseca is my new alcaraz
Fonseca gonna be a real future trouble one for Sinner and Alcaraz...congrats kid!!!!
Fonseca 💪👏🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Talk about Fonseca
Fonseca’s strings are set to speed x1.5! Damn those shots have so much speed embedded in them…
Always admire seeing leftys play sports 🎉
could have been abit more professional with his attitude towards the end..when coming up for the hand-shake...oh well his a 17y old...should be thrilled to play the GOAT.
Fonseca 🎉
Fonseca.
Fonseca’s power similar to Sinner. Interesting
10:08 Federer approved
LETS GO FONSECA!! 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼
Did you delete Fonseca’s video? Why?
great to see that gasquet backhand
I hope we see way more of this rivalry going forward! ❤❤❤
Good to see Felix win - hope to see him with a bit more confidence as the year progresses
Fonseca got all the tools!
Nadal is still insanely good, i hate all this talk about him retiring...
Fonseca - future youngest n.1 in the world, mark my words.
Quels progrès en six mois, Fonseca! Quelle nouvelle perf! Intéressante, cette confrontation entre deux futurs grands du tennis.
Fonseca is just 17 .....It takes a lot of maturity to play at this level at that age .....top 10 future player. Blanch looks like he could be Shelton's little bro......
Blanch is 16 years old! Hits a forehand like a bullet train. This guy is going to be GREAT
It is scary how good Fonseca at 17 is. Reminds me Sinners Playing style but Sinner at 17 was not so good I think .
No shame in that performance by Fonseca...some flashes of brilliance. Still, Nadal looked solid here and a nice primer for the FO. Man, would be pretty amazing if he could peak in June in France..
That 16 years old tennis player was too easy for Nadal. I want to see him VS Alex de Minaur, again.
Fonsecão da massaaaa!
Aqui é Brasil!!! Vamo joão !!! 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
For a 16 year old, Blanch had some exceptional shots.
I dunno about that, he got destroyed. As other people are saying in the comments he shouldn't even be playing in a M1000, only reason he got a WC is because he is managed by the company that run the Madrid Open
@@IronFist2508 might all be right but nevertheless he lost against the best clay player ever and he is only 16...I still think that we witnessed at least top 50 potential.
Nearly got double bagelled- is that the best he could do, against a 37 year old? That has to be seriously embarassing!
