I would love to see a video about all of this. I'd also love to see a video about your bike setup and why you chose everything. Thanks for sharing! I really enjoy your stuff, it's very motivating!
@@dustinsanders2175 thanks for the support brother means a lot. I’m currently working on a bike setup video as well. Stay tuned 🤙🏽.
@@DennisGonzalez101 Sounds great! I'm a diehard roadie, but an Aspero has been calling my name ever since I started watching your videos. Keep up the great work, man! You've got a fan in Dallas, TX. :)
I love my Aspero- the new one is pretty sick and has just enough room for larger tires. I’ve got 700x45mm and it’s a close call on the back of the seat tube 😂
Definitely looking forward to your bike set up Dennis!
Huge congrats, man! I would love to see a video about all of this.
Thx brother. I have made one about my bike setup please go take a look if you have some time it will be very appreciated 🙏.
Awesome ride, so happy it turned out so well for you! Very impressive to get 2nd on your first go on such a long hard event ... looking forward to follow up video with more details
Thank u so much brother. I’m still amazed myself on how well everything went. There was so many people that had terrible days with the heat and 4 or more flats. This event if for sure one of the hardest in cycling and hardest I done for sure.
Great results man! Cycling Tom sighting about 3 mins in 😂
Thx man. Yeah I knew it was him that’s what I put that clip in 😆.
@@DennisGonzalez101 I’m sure he’d trade you for your results 😭
Awesome job man! I think Florida might be the perfect training camp for Unbound. You get so used to the heat and putting out power on flat for a long time which a lot of people are not used to.
I would definitely have to agree with the heat part of it and power on the flats. Is crazy the entire time I was like wow this weather couldn’t be more perfect and then at the end of the race I heard so many people saying how hot and intolerable the heat was and they Couldn’t deal with it great I was like what 😂 it was so good.
Good stuff man! Keep it up - that’s awesome!
Thank brother.
Great job baby you worked so hard for this and I’m so happy for you
Thx love ❤️
Felicidades bro
Gracias bro 🙏
Congrats, heck of a ride! admittedly they change the route / direction of the course from year to year a little but the time you did that in is pretty much what the top pros were doing it in 3-4 years ago.
Wow that’s is such a great point. I know this was the fastest ever unbound but I never thought about how much was the difference to the previous ones. Thanks for the info man that is unreal I’m about to go do some research 🤓😊.
From someone who is totally depended on contacts I'm totally impressed !
😂😂 I know man it was crazy. Only people that wear contacts and rode this course would know how crazy it was to ride it without been able to see and how fast we were going through there. I seen videos of people getting off their bikes and walking it. We were going 35-40 mph 😂. Still can’t believe I didn’t flat or crash on that part of the race.
Nicely done!!
Thx 🙏.
Congrats man.
Thank you 🤙🏽.
Thanks!
Did you run the 48t chainring?
Yes I did man with a 10-44 rear cassette.
Dude, that’s awesome. I just picked up and actually as of last night put on 46t Wolftooth Components chainring on my Cervelo Aspero (they were out of 48t) quite literally did this because of your video! I don’t think I’ll have to add a spacer as I’m running a Shimano GRX crank - I was surprised!
I figured I go for it since they were out of chainring I wanted/needed- the drivetrain is all SRAM Eagle AxS except for the crank. I felt very inspired by your video bruv! Keep it up, appreciate your hard work on racing and the channel.
@@user-rm2co8qm4u that’s awesome man your gonna love it. At unbound everyone was on the eagle cassette and rear derailleur from pros to all the amateurs. Some of those climbs were gnarly if I did it again I’ll for sure do the eagle setup.
@@DennisGonzalez101 I like the eagle set up right now. I’m running a 10:50 in the rear. the original chain ring that came with the crank set was a 42t . Supposedly the new wolftooth’s oval chainring is an equivalent dimension to a 48 tooth even though it’s 46… I’m not exactly sure how it all works but Wolftooth components are pretty legit, so I’ll go with what they say. 😂
Wasn’t even gonna try it, till I saw that video where you made the 48t chainring work on your bike!
That’s when I bought in to your channel man. I was like this dude actually build bikes and isn’t afraid to push the engineering on them- Respect man!
@@user-rm2co8qm4u thx brother. If I do it again next year I’ll for sure run an eagle set up myself. I’m always down to push the limits and think outside the 📦 🤓.
Wow. This dude is full of himself. Vain af.
over an hour back from the elite winner. Great result, but saying almost won is misleading at best.
Please explain how this is misleading? US amateurs have our own podiums and placing ? 2nd is not “almost wining” I don’t understand your point? I can tell you guys are both new here. You have no idea the hard work I put in to be able to accomplish such a result.
@@DennisGonzalez101 they are trolling dude congrats that is excellent for a flatlander hell excellent for anyone. Cheers to you man
@@elefantrising thx brother really appreciated the love and positivity 🙏.
@@DennisGonzalez101 When you race, you are racing the entire field. I will even exclude the elites for this conversation as they had a different start time and draft packs formed that you did not have the opportunity to get in. Saying you got 2nd is still misleading. You got 2nd in an age range of 18-29 year old males. Were you not racing the guy in front of you who outsprinted/dropped you late or the guy behind you that you outsprinted because they are out of your age group?
As I originally said, great result. You would have dropped me mile 1.
…you failed to mention that it’s only in your category dude? Don’t you think if you going public with this sort of thing you should have full disclosure? Just saying.
I mentioned that it was in my category men 16-29 less than 2 min in to the video I’m pretty sure.
