@@CarpCraftUK I've a friend who owns a carp shop and he said these fox bivvys knock the spots off other more expensive bivvys. He can't find a fault with them.
I've just pre ordered the standard and worried now about how a flatliner will fit in. I know it'll be tight but don't want it to be poking out at ends. Don't know whether to change to the x model but it's quite a lot heavier and I only do over nights. What bedchair do you have and does it fit OK?
I have the fox r series camo sleep system which is 212cm. It fits in with no issue. There is a slight gap either end so I recon the flatliner should be fine. Can you let me know because it is a question I get asked a lot 👍🏻
@@CarpCraftUK the flatlineris 215cm in length so only 1.5cm difference either end. Think I'll stick with the standard. The x and xd models just seem too much for what I need tbh 👍
Hi what's the head height please? I know the dimensions say 130cm but wasn't sure if this was the door height or the maximum head height.i have a tempest brolly at the moment which is to low and looking to upgrade.TIA
The infill panel ? Have 2 zips on the panel to the same side, then on right hand side of the bivvy (as your looking at it) push this bit of the zip into the 2 on the front panel then zip 1 all the way over.( let me know how you get on - I’m saying this from memory an think it’s right)
I like the high sidewall design, do you have a web link for this company? I would like to see their options for possible different vapor peaks that would come all the way down to near ground level for 4 season camping.
Hi ronstryker, the full range can be viewed here www.foxint.com/ I believe the full overwrap options are available for the larger frontier X or Xd . It’s not something I’ve looked into thought tbh.
@@CarpCraftUK thanks for the swift reply mate, was there still a gap at either end between bed and bivvy? My bed is 220 cm long so assume it'll touch at the ends.... Ive been asking fox the same question but as yet they've not replied
I just checked and mine in 212 cm long which is a snug fit but there is a gap either end. I’m out again next Monday so will check the gap to see if you can squeeze an extra 8 cms
Decent review! Great build quality apart from the Velcro. How would that last 5+ years? Same as the Velcro on the ground sheet, that will get full of crap in no time. If your bivvy is facing down hill and it’s raining, we all know water travels under the ground sheet and your bivvy will be a squelchy mess. Gimmick at best.
I have been taking it off each time and packing it away it’s just something I have done with all bivvies, it literally takes 30 seconds. I’ll give it a go this weekend with the panel in and let you know how it goes 👍
I’ve got a 200 but never owned a Titan.I would probably opt for a Titan as they look a bit smaller. The 200 is heck of a lump to carry about and erect. I rarely use it tbh
Another great video mate. I like your reviews 👍 very confident, say what I want to hear and doesn’t last forever... well done 👏
Cheers Tom, really appreciate that.👍
I like the groundsheet design....simple but effective.
I think it’s great, now that night fishing is allowed again I’ll get to test it’s effectiveness 😂
@@CarpCraftUK yeah don't blame ya....got a trip planned early April then hopefully a syndicate place after that.....🤞🤞
Just in time for the spring wake up. All the best 👍

Top review mate
Thank you buddy. Appreciate that 👍🏻
I've got the XD on order with peak, cant wait, good video. Helps seeing it put up before hand.
Nice mate, I’m thinking of getting the xd to replace the tempest.
@@CarpCraftUK I've a friend who owns a carp shop and he said these fox bivvys knock the spots off other more expensive bivvys. He can't find a fault with them.
I’m yet to find an issue with mine, they really have nailed everything on this one.
@@davidross1502 well they are not cheap at all, so I dont know what your friend is talking about
@@ilijakavedzic517 mine was £600 compare that full new trakker costs over £1000 almost half price and is a better bivvy!
Hi buddy I got the X camo today please tell me how I can get the barn style door thanks mate
Only just seen this, have you sussed it?
@@CarpCraftUKhi mate yes all sorted thanks hope to use it this weekend shame thay don't do a full camo winter skin
Does the groundsheet fold up with the bivvy?
no mate, it clips in.
Is it a four season winter tent
Great video mate keep up good work
Cheers buddy, glad you enjoyed it
How are you getting on with it, do you still like it?
Yes mate wouldn’t be without it. I have no issues what so ever. 👍 do you have 1 or are you looking into them.
@@CarpCraftUK need a new bivvy and it's top of my list atm.
Ah ok, I highly rate the frontier. The camo version is out soon 👀
Can you letter box the door on this bivvy ?
Yes
Looks amazing and cool video 👍🏽
Cheers Kate, glad you enjoyed it. ✌🏽
I was trying to find out how the ground sheet attached to the bivvy, Hope it is not the dreaded Velcro.
Hi Russ, there is no Velcro thankfully, the groundsheet clips in with buckle type clips.
Great review! Do you know if there are there going to be 2 person Frontier bivvys? When are they coming out?
Yes mate, already out. Check out the frontier x and frontier xd.
Can thease be packed down with the vapour peak still attached
Hi mate, I haven’t tried yet. I’m used to packing them down separately. Next time I’m out I’ll give it a go and let you know.

I've just ordered the x from Germany found a shop with stock 🙌 it's the only thing I haven't seen and it's bugged me aha thanks mate 👍😀

The only thing that puts me off are the plastic pole connectors such a shame as I really like the look of this bivvy
They join the poles together so quickly and smoothly with zero frame twist, I guess the test of time will tell. At the moment all good though 👍
Does it come with the skullcap
No mate this is extra, you can also get a 1 piece mozzy mesh infill for the front.
Hi what's the head height please? I know the dimensions say 130cm but wasn't sure if this was the door height or the maximum head height.i have a tempest brolly at the moment which is to low and looking to upgrade.TIA
I’m not sure of the exact height, I won’t be able to measure for a couple weeks but I can do if you still want to know.
Have you got a close video of attaching the font, because I'm having trouble, need some close ups of zip configuration.
The infill panel ? Have 2 zips on the panel to the same side, then on right hand side of the bivvy (as your looking at it) push this bit of the zip into the 2 on the front panel then zip 1 all the way over.( let me know how you get on - I’m saying this from memory an think it’s right)
My zips are not fixed, but I'm not sure if the zip on the bivvy is stitched the wrong way around, I have enough trouble to get one zip on
Hang on I’ll get mine out and look.message me on Instagram and I can reply with pictures
It’s just 1 zip attached to the bivvy, have it all the way to the right hand side. Push the zip on the infill into to zipper then zip all the way over

@@CarpCraftUK that would be great mate thankyou....
Good luck for the weekend
Hi mate, had a look at the gap and it’s pretty snug, I think a 220 would touch by ends
Would be nice to see sum of the joins looks very plastic to me witch on a bivvy we all now they will brake
The elbow joints are made from some kind of hardened plastic, the 2 poles slide together very easily. The test of time will tell.
I’m sure they will be “sturdy enough” but it would be interesting to see how it fairs in a string wind. Doesn’t look as stable as a tempest
Feels very sturdy tbh, I don’t see it being an issue at all.when we are allowed to fish over nighters I’ll find out.😂

Is the groundsheet pegged in or is it velcro
Hi Brian, the groundsheet clips in with seatbelt style clips. No velcro

Just wish they were available to buy 😂
The tackle shops were hit hard on deliveries this year. Hopefully sort it’s self out soon.
I’ve found a couple
That's a Tempest mate 👍
Very similar mate. But has additional benefits.
Does the Tempest have a flat back?
No, I have the tempest 200 and that doesn’t. Not sure on the smaller options like the v2 or 150.
@@CarpCraftUK My point The Frontier is far from a Tempest
Ah I see.
Why don't they use zip in groundsheets instead of these crap clips.
Not to sure. Could be to save time, save weight or maybe just pricing. Which other brands use a zip ?
Good video! Sub’D
Appreciate that. Glad you enjoyed it. 👍
Poormans tempest 🤣🤣🤣
Not everyone is in the market for a tempest, variety and options open up comfortable angling for lots of people.
I still deciding between the Tempest 200 and the Nash Titan T2?
I’ve got a 200 but never owned a Titan.I would probably opt for a Titan as they look a bit smaller. The 200 is heck of a lump to carry about and erect. I rarely use it tbh
@@CarpCraftUK although the Titan T2 is actually heavier than the Tempest so might still have the same problem
It must come hand in hand, big bivvy big effort. The 200 is ideal for week long trips or going abroad but it’s too big in my opinion.
