Got to say I'm nash through and through but this bivvy is absolutely superb. I got the frontier xd , I'm 6ft 5 . With a Nash 5 season 4 leg wideboy bedchair there is at least 2ft of headroom. 3 ft of space from the edge of the bedchair . The foot print isn't huge but god is it roomy . Without the doubt the bivvy of the year . The build quality is superb. love the elbows on the poles no more chipped poles etc . This is surly the best bivvy so far this year , absolutely superb
Bought a Frontier X yesterday with the vapour peak, very impressed. Absolute breeze to put together, overall build quality and materials look spot on. Well done Fox. Looking forward to my next night out fishing in this!
Thanks, i have the xd set up in the garden and didn't know how to take it down without forcing anything. Also the manual that comes with it doesnt show that u have to push the middle pole up a bit before pulling it down again so many thanks for taking the time to make this video!
I think your Brilliant Harry. Not just in this vedio but in everything you do. You come across so genuine & a really nice guy & you obviously are a great Carp fishing man & you know what your doing. Anyway back to this vedio. You always seem so calm & explain everything so well. You do not talk down to your audience you are just so professional & easy to understand. Keep up the good work. Cheers mate. 👍🐟🐟🐟
Very well explained, took me 20mins trying to work out how to take the centre pole down 🤦🏻♂️🤣 and even then I had to come to TH-cam lol, really really impressed with my X bivvy tho, couldn't believe it was pitch black inside the bivvy in the middle of the day 👌🏻
You can't peg down the XD and then fasten the front arm's unless your 7 feet tall to reach the block to lock the middle arm in place. You need to lean it forward to do this. I have one and love it its like the Tardis and even the XD will fit in 95% of swims on my lakes because of the flat back
Great bivvy just found 1 in stock online real stroke of luck! So far i love it... Please advise if i can remove the inner dome ground sheet and leave the rest of it in? I kinda like to have no ground sheet unless the conditions require it
Does it matter whether they did or not? Most tackle companies sell identical products like tail rubbers and other terminal tackle, pods, unhooking matts, landing poles. Dont see people moaning about that
Nice video Harry. Looks like a nice Fox shelter. I am confused however, why you would demonstrate this Frontier bivvy "exclusively" on it's lowest setting. I'm sure the Hobbit brigade will be over the moon, but as far as I can see [from reading many comments on various other video's] most people are fed up with back breaking Tempest, Hide type brollies which are way too low for the majority of anglers. Personally, I would have liked to see this standard Frontier on it's max height setting.
I agree. It’s time these companies stopped cow-towing to silly little cultist boys and make stuff focussed on the majority of us that just want good sensible effective gear.
Im assuming this will fit an r3 bedchair of takes a flatliner? Ive just downsize from an xd to a standard in camo main due to not being able to fit the xd in my car properly and i miss the more compact brolly / bivvy style
It's annoying that you've done this video with it on the lowest setting. As you say, biggest concern is the size of it - whether it's big enough & then you do a review video and don't set it up normally for scale lol
I’ve had quite a few bivvys my frontier is absolutely brilliant material really strong dark inside ‘been out in gale force winds rock solid quick to put up n down excellent bit of kit put the vapour peak jobs a good un 🤜🏻

@@Pauljay65 my bivvy will be here tomorrow and vapour peak lol but do you think that the overwrap from the X could be altered to fit the standard? Im just thinking about condensation in winter because I'm gonna use all winter cheers mate

lets get this straight im not trying to be an annoying troll here , but that doorway is crazy small! i just dont understand why ? easy access/exit is literally one of the most important functions of a fishing shelter, why is there always such an overemphasis on features that really serve no purpose when the obvious problems are overlooked. lets face it if your taller than 5 foot 10 youre leaving that doorway on your knees

Would be great if you could actually get hold of the X or XD. Out of stock everywhere. Fox would be better off sorting supply chain out instead of TH-cam posts of items no one can get delivery dates on.
@@colinbailey6236 so now you're saying trakker copied nash? Does it really matter, most tackle companies sell things that are almost identical to eachother.
@@elleaton23 that's not the implication. If Fox's response to a suggestion that their current product is similar to another manufacturer's product is "we made something 17 years ago"...but when you look at the item of 17 years ago, you actually see it was more like another manufacturer's product which predates the item they are declaring as their defence.
