She is not acting. Morissette has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and portrays this in the song.
This song was originally by Gary V, but he passed the baton to Mori. And what's the result? Flood of tears! This was done in one take btw

Mori is a Christian and so I know she felt the song so much that she cried in the end, the music arranger said that he knows Morissette has a beautiful voice , but he wants to hear her heart and that is what Mori did to this song, I simply think Mori is the best singer in her generation, no one can come close to her talent, sorry but that is the truth, thank you for supporting my Queen Morissette ✌️❤️🙏🙏🙏

Morissette is a Christian. She never shies away from her faith and I think, while she sings this song, she isn't so much "acting" as I believe her performance is as sincere, heartfelt and reverent as one could possibly be. She is incredible at "story-telling", getting the message of every song across to us because she truly invests in the lyrics...especially when she sings Christian music. I wish the world would sit up and take notice of this amazing young lady. Here, in the U.S., the music industry keeps putting out "cookie-cutter artists" and molds them into how they want them be...money makers. True talent seems not to always be the goal of the industry. And we revere those cookie-cutter artists, put them on pedestals and we think they're the best. But, Morissette Amon IS the "real deal"!!! I think she's better than any artist in this country, even world-wide, because of all that she conveys as she's nothing like any of them!! She's humble, she's beautiful (inside and out), she loves singing and she gives God credit for her amazing talent!! In my humble opinion, she's THE best singer of this generation and on this planet today who is second to none!!!!

The only one that could sing this better is Morissette herself. The emotion she gave can't be topped which btw is not acting. Put the two together and you got an unbeatable unbelievable masterpiece. This deserves an award no doubt.

I see you are wearing the 82nd AA Hat, I was also in the 82nd, spent a combined 40+ years in the U.S. Army, twice retired from the US Air Force (1998 & 2005), and served an additional 15 years in the DoD retiring in Jan 2021. Retired in Cebu City Philippines now with my Filipina Fiancée. Renting a strong typhoon proof house with 3 large bedrooms with A/C, Office, Maid's Bedroom, large kitchen and dining room, living room, upstairs den, outdoor second floor terrace, and 3 full bathrooms, including outside CCTV Security Cameras, and a covered parking area behind a steel security fence and door for $566.00 a month. The Costabella Tropical Beach Resort is only 50 minute Taxi drive ($14) from central Cebu City. Beautiful country.

It was from a musical. Eddie Santos wrote it and Gary Valenciano performed it. Gary V rearranged this for Morissette to sing it. The tears were real and the whole crew was in tears during the filming of this.

Morissette is a professed Christian and is evident here that this was from the heart. she also sings for favor church which by the way has a video with her singing O Holy Night for Christmas time a few years ago and it is stellar. perfect for a Chritmas season react hint hint

Freddie Santos, wrote this.....while have dinner or drinks, in Manila.....and once completed, ran to Gary Valenciano and begged him to compose music to it in the early 90's, it was used in a Christian production play, First Name. Freddie passed in Dec. 2020 and, to honor him, Gary V arranged this for Morissette, and was done for a revival called, First Name , Anew
One doesn't need to be faith driven to appreciate this piece and Mori's delivery.

I remember Gary V.the original singer/ arranger of this song(You might want to check his version) mentioned in one of his interviews " I told Mori, everybody knows you can sing.I don't want them to hear you sing in this song.I want them to hear your heart" .And the result? I’m so glad you two took an opportunity to watch this video. I may have mentioned this in prior comments but you are just entering the depths of what a few have referred to you in previous Morissette reactions you’ve posted the rabbit hole Morissette Amon World. Her world is deep, vast and varied. There’s hundreds of videos that you’ll find of This multi-talented, versatile, vocal and performer extraordinaire young women. There’s so much to share with you about her but I’ll just leave that “discovery” to be done on your own as I know you’ll continue to find on your own (or be recommended to you by many of your subscribers) these posted videos of Morissette on TH-cam.
But I do want to respond to your comments about her acting talent. FYI Morissette has had some experience in Theatre, where she develop acting skills. I believe she was 14/15 at the time (2012). During the peak of the pandemic period, Morissette posted videos made from home - part of which were known as “Stages Sessions”, to which she performed six of her favorite Broadway songs. In these song performances you’ll see her acting ability resonates as if she’s on stage singing with the emotions that’s required.
Just do a search “Stages Sessions Morissette” on TH-cam. Though you’ll like all of them, I especially recommend in order:

Philippines has 2 official languages-English and Pilipino(Based on Tagalog) which are used as the medium of instruction in primary all the way up to college, so we have a lot of literature and songs composed in both languages, even both sometimes in one song.
