📢 Disclaimer: you know what it takes when trying to play Jeff Beck... hope I have not ruined the song. Tried my best! Ya sabéis lo que implica intentar tocar un tema de Jeff Beck... no seáis demasiado duros, jaja. Espero no haber destrozado la canción.
Whoever gets these C to D bends correctly at the beginning will surely nail the whole song. I gave you thumbs up after 10 secs in the song. It's not hard to actually play those bends.. But it's hard to capture the emotion behind it.... You are a truly great guitar player man.
I saw Jeff Beck play this live in 1976 at a concert in the old Comiskey Park in Chicago. It's one of those songs that gets etched into your brain exactly the way you heard it played and you did a great job of recreating that song!
This reminded me of the late Michael Caswell. Also a great guitarist, he did tutorials for lick library covering Jeff Beck's music. May his soul rest in peace.
Not to take away from the great playing, but Beck's first solo album was Truth, released in 1968. I've still got the vinyl on my shelf. Yes I'm that old.
Awesome tone and technique. Every guitar player should learn this, its full of classic Beck licks and is so clever in how beck composed the verse and solo over the chord progressions. So much to learn from this guitar classic. Incredible video Desafinados. Your definetly one of the top guitarist on you tube.
Humble thanks for the kind words, Glenn! Do not deserve them! This song was pure joy to learn and play, but Jeff Beck is one of those players that is impossible to "mimic", his style is sooo unique!
I'm so lucky to have lived in Los Angeles where all the great bands come and I seen Jeff Beck twice one great guitar player I was saddened when he passed away
1) aggiunta basso in slide, finale con slide 2) primo bending senza suonare corda b) 2 giro diverso (aggiunta due note 3-4) 3) secondo bending vicino al primo 4) scaletta la 5) 2 scalette, finale bending b) 1° lungo, scala e torno indietro, mini solo 4:204:50
Very nice. This piece is definitely an exercise in bends! Trying to nail those bends over the key changes and getting them spot on is not an easy task! You nailed it, seemingly, with ease!
Great feel to the way you've played this one. Super nice! I'm curious to know what signal chain you've used for this tone. Once again, thank you for such awesome cover 🙌🏼
It must be so satisfying to play all those iconic nuances. I’m inspired to try. Even without slinky strings or a solid body to play it on merely the so-Stevie-ish chords will be crazy fun to explore. What a great tune. What a great interpretation by Beck. And what a great homage to both.
Congratulations, congratulations, congratulations, finally somebody grasped the real middle feeling of the song, thank you so much for your dedication in playing this beautiful song like everybody remembers it. Gracias realmente escuche un montón de versiones pero nadie la toco como tu…te re-pasaste.
Jeff Beck is the Guitarist’s Guitarist. He is truly a master. You are a brave person to even attempt this great but complicated song. Good job. Oh and.. nice Strat.
I've opened your video with low expectations since I have not really seen an actually good cover of this piece. But you sir did a really good job with your attention to small details. Well done
Is your version actually the same way Jeff played it when he recorded it? Just curious because there are couple notes you played that I play differently even though it's the same note we are hitting??? Just curious because I play by ear & don't use tabs or know how to read music. Really think it sounds better played with a LP instead of a strat but everybody has their own likes & dislikes I guess??? Would like to hear from you about this tune because is one of my favorites & seem to always go to it when just jamming or noodling a bit at home or if I am test driving a guitar at a shop or something??? Thanks ☘️✌️
That was beautiful, I could never play it right without have a lot of ( string noise ) when I play, yours sounds so clean and very minimal String ringing when you strum 🎸🤜🏾🤛🏾👍🏾
One of the greatest instrumentals in history. The riff at 3:47 is close, but not quite there. I’ve tried off and on to match that riff’s feel for decades, and still can’t duplicate Beck’s genius.
I really always loved this song...here no sweeping, fast picking parts or crazyness tapping...but all is in the bends, slides, vibrato, sound control etc...and your cover is really a lovely tribute to Mr Beck....Bravo !!!😉
I just cannot listen to notes that are slightly flat or sharp . I’m talking about Jeff Beck ... now listen to Robin Trower from Winterland Concert, 1975 ... ! Excellent Playing

This is hard, not the technical aspect, but the feeling aspect
And I think you nailed it, great
Humble thanks mate. 👍👍
3:55 - 4:04 what an amazing sequence. Jeff was truly one of the greatests if not the greatest
