Hey Ben. Unrelated question: How would you compare the P5 Baby Plugging with the K2 713 2-piece? Power, taper, what they're best at? Is one a lot better than the other? I have a baby plugging, considering replacing it with the K2 to be able to also take it canoe-tripping. 1-piece is a no-go for that.

The Phenix K2s are super light and crisp. It would make a great high end travel rod, and would do similar things to the Baby Plugging. It will be faster than the Baby Plugging.

Hey Ben, what is the reason from your point of view, why tournament anglers(MLF, Bassmaster) usually don't fish with high-end reels and rods, I mean 600-900 $, is it because they can't afford it or sponsors can't provide them with those rods because of some market strategies or something. Thanks.

It would work for the line through smaller version. The weedless version needs a little more backbone to drive the hook set.
