I love the 406h because it reminds me of a little mini CRT TV that we used to play all our older games on back in the day. It looks just how it looked back then on that screen and I love that. Love the 4:3 aspect ratio.
It really does look like a great little machine. I'm sure that all the issues you've experienced can be sorted with a few software updates, like you said. Sorry to hear about your mum mate, my heart goes out to you all. I'm glad you can find comfort in video games.
Horizontal handhelds ARE the way to go. This thing looks like a love child between a Neo Geo Pocket and Wii U gamepad. 😅 So sorry to hear about your mom. It's a positive angle to point out how nice an escape can be in order to process things, and an always-ready handheld can certainly help distract.
The trick to transferring saves between nethersx2/aethersx2 installations is to tell it to export your saves, move them to a folder you can find on the new device, and then import them over in the app. Idk why sten set them up like that. Duckstation is the same way. Save states are kinda unreliable no matter what you use. It's device dependent.
Best wishes to you and the family, truly an awful condition and I’m so so sorry to hear that. I truly appreciate your videos providing some joy during the crazy holidays, and thank you for sharing your stories with us. Happy holidays man, cheers
Very nice vid... I enjoy your content very much! Recently bought the rg405m, would love to see you give it a little review in 2024/2025 view, bc i think it is still very potent (got it for 120 on aliexpress) :)
Did you try importing the memory cards inside AetherSX2? App Settings, Memory Cards, Import Memory Card. For some reason AetherSX2 doesn't like it when memory cards are just copy/pasted but wants to import them.
@ I don’t. But before they were a real experience on how the device integrated in his life. Now it’s just a normal review and nothing like it was before. Moreso, putting he played it for 168 hours is just lying.
I take it all onboard and always use these comments to help make better content, but I'm always going to do what feels right, so I'm sorry if that doesn't give you what you want right now

Yeah, 4:3 is brilliant for these games!

Thank you bro, it really does mean a lot

Thanks bro 💙
Yeah these handhelds are great for a little escapism
I would love the RG406H with amoled Screen and the same Chipset of the Retroid Pocket 5.
This would be the perfect device.
Yes, and slightly lower sticks for me

I did try the import, which usually works, but I think the memory card from the RP5 had an issue.

Happy Holidays bro and your words truly mean a lot
Looked forward to this thanks
Hope you enjoyed it!

I'll take a look at doing an episode on it 😉
ps2 and gc play well, and much more comfortable than others. Also DC and N64 needs analogue stick above ❤
Yeah it's amazing from the ergonomics perspective
Did you try importing the memory cards inside AetherSX2? App Settings, Memory Cards, Import Memory Card. For some reason AetherSX2 doesn't like it when memory cards are just copy/pasted but wants to import them.
I did, but I think the memory card file from the RP5 was corrupt
I played RG406H for a week and the screen had light bleed and green effects so I returned it...
That sucks man
@ChronikSpartan yes I was so excited about the device I already have a bag for it now it is useless now unless I get another...
White is the LAST color I would ever buy anything in.
Haha, that's fair, what's your choice?
NetherSX2 works better for these systems than Aether.
Yes I can vouch for that
I would still prefer D-Pad on top!
That's fair
Nice video, great console, awful colour. Keep your chin up and may the road rise with you.
Thank you, really appreciate that
Screen sadly loooks ass, id pay more for the rp5
Did you maybe get a bad unit?
Please not again with the 168 hours.
Why do you hate these videos so much?

Yes
He used to do 30 days of only playing a specific system.
@@feahnorl lol you're still mad that you don't know how long ago he recorded things

Another 168 hours misleading thumbnail
A week is 168 hours
