Hey Adam, huge fan of yours from Australia. Been watching your vlogs for a while. Your journey is amazing. You are also a real modern day historian and a fantastic tour guide. Learnt so much man about Chicago. Best wishes on your stay in Chicago and the rest of your amazing journey.
thank you so much Tom . That means a lot to me
Wow, one of your best videos ... ever! I no longer have to keep Chicago on my bucket list of places to visit. I'm living vicariously through you, and I thank you for taking me (and a few thousand others) with you every single day!
I'm so happy you are finding "hidden treasures " in my hometown! Stay warm!!!
its an awesome town for sure
I love the flashbacks, Adam. This kind of video is one of my favorite types of content, and you are so flipping good at it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With everywhere you've been, I think these are some of the most high quality, gorgeous shots you've taken yet.
Whatchu talkin' 'bout, Willis? It will always be the Sears Tower.
I see what you did there, ha
I see the pun 😂😂
Nice! For those that don't get it. It is now the Willis Tower!!
It's owned by a British company.
The Sears tower was being built in the 60s . I remember that as a kid . Around 67 it started .
I love when you do vlogs like this. I like seeing things that deal with history of any kind, the mobster stuff is cool.
awesome. really felt like i was in the city, you do a great job with these Adam
another awesome vlog Adam ! man I wanna visit these places -you're the best ambassador for your country !
Thank you for yet again another brilliant vid, thank you Adam .
Strange tie in that I was told by my grandparents on both sides, on my dad’s side my great grandfather worked for the sheriff Dept in Indiana and actually helped searched for John Dillinger back in the day and on my mom’s side my great uncle worked as a mechanic in Chicago and worked on Al Capone’s car
My grandfather was the one that told Christopher Columbus to make a left at Albuquerque.
I'm really loving these Chicago vlogs!!
me too
Love the historical sites! Thank you for sharing those.
Awesome. Thank you for going to those historical locations.
Fantastic vlog today Adam. Thanks. I am a huge fan of all things to do with the Mafia. Great seeing the history. Safe travels.
glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching
adamthewoo Thanks for replying Adam. It's my first reply from you. Just made my day!
I just love all the info and history tucked into the nether regions of your videos. Thank you for sharing!
I am from Chicago, and I did not know about the wall at the Chicago Tribune (right in my face yet didn't see) Anyway, my friend's father also lived part time in the John Hancock building BUT had a farm in Indiana that was Al Capone's with secret tunnels and all! Great video Adam!
These last few days in Chicago are really bringing back memories. It's been so long since I've been there. So much has changed and yet so much is the same. Thanks for vlogging!
I love this stuff, takes a good amount of time to research, not to mention the before and after pics, you are making Chicago look epic with your camera work, stay safe during your travels, may God provide you with neverending content.
My colleague lived in Chicago in the past and guessed this location this morning. Great video! Enjoy your trip!
Lots of history in this vlog. Thanks for that. Was a great watch!
The Chicago Tribune building is very cool! And the city lights are pretty! Thanks for sharing! 😊
Two of those holes are periods for A.D.
Yeah he was joking
@@jeremyc311709 Now much of a joke.

You are full of fun facts, Adam! Thanks for sharing with us.
You always have great videos , but the ones like these are always good! You can tell that a lot of research went into what you're showing! I'm glad you decided to show some of the darker history of Chicago!

I think this is my favorite TDW. Not from Chicago, so, I was really intrigued with the history and the way you told the stories... Very interesting.
Love your Videos Adam thanks I love visiting history through your point of view
This Vlog was sooo cool 👍🏼. Alot of people dont know this, but Al Capone had a hideout here in Fontana,CA. He also used to eat a steakhouse here in Rancho Cucamonga off Route 66. Both spots still exist till this day.
The wall with bricks from around the world was completely awesome! Keep safe out there bro, Chicago isn't the friendliest city right now.
Between this and the Perfect Strangers memories yesterday (I have the theme song on my MP3 player, love that show) you are hitting home runs all over. Keep on Wooing!
Very well done adam thanks for having me along for the ride
Cheers Adam, your Vlogs are the highlight of my day. I feel like you are my personal tour guide.
Adam, I love this! I am so looking forward to going on these new adventures with you.
My town! know every place by heart! Thanks Adam
I am enjoying the historical blogs. The changing of the seasons. I can just imagine how much you are enjoying the cooler weather. It has been unseasonably warm here. High yesterday near 80. By this afternoon if will be in the mid 40's .
Love Chicago!

I've gotta admit the historical videos are my favorite 😊👍
One of Adams best blogs ever... I wish I could like this 10x
Good morning Adam and happy Friday everyone
Great stuff. Thank you for taking us to some really cool places in Chicago.
The historical videos that you do are the best in my opinion. I like that stuff too. It's great that you take old photographs and are able to associate the buildings with today. That makes it more real.
I find that to be super awesome as well it makes for a really cool video
Great video some of it reminded me of the old Blues Brothers movie. Thank you Adam The Woo!
I got to meet Chris at the Second City Comedy Club. He was awesome. Said what're you doing here, I said skating. Chris said from the bar outside the stage. "I used to play hockey as a kid! LEMME SEE WHATCHA GOT!" In classic fashion hopped off the bar stool and threw his arms out as I ran into him. Awesome! He signed my menu, Doug stay Kool Chris Farley, my sister's says"Christina, You sure are Purdy. Love, Tommy Boy.". After the Second City troop finished there act. Chris returned for the improve act. He jumped from a ladder easily six feet above the wooden stage and kicked his leg over his head. God bless him, awesome and athletic cat. Love you all.

The tearfull "are those Petunias? " made me shoot coffee through my nose.
HAHA
Doran Amatto LOL I was laughing too. 😢🌺 He never fails to crack me up.
Best one ever !
That was wonderful. I loved the " Woah woah woah woah...woah!"
THIS IS AWESOME! thanks for posting! hope all is well!
Loving this new chapter. Can't wait til you make it over to NYC!
Chicago is always a cold place. I was there in May once, and just about froze to death. The wind was cutting right through me.
The Winter wind in Chicago is called"the hawk".It can cut right thru you.😜😜😜
This was a great vlog. Chicago is more interesting than I realized. Thanks. :)
I LOVE the way u say certain words Mr Woo. Like "theatre" for instance. I've never heard it pernounced like that. Haha. It is very cute!
yeah always have
I'm partial to the way Adam says "there"
It's fitting to pronounce "theater" that way while in Chicago since that is also how the famous son of the 2nd City, Vince Vauhgn pronounces it in "Old School" when he says that his store "Speaker City" sells "home theater equipment", and that is a completely random observation.
That's just how it sounds. GAH!!!
Awesome,,regardless if it was from my request or not you hit Farley's building,,thank you Adam.I'm enjoying seeing Chicago,,,Second city is there too where Belushi and Farley started lol..great vids.
Thanks for sharing Adam...!
Don't leave without doing Blues Brothers locations. Hit me up if you want a tour of Joliet.
The Drizzle - That would be awesome! Sweet home Chicago!
What did they film in Joliet other than the Prison sequence at the beginning? *really should know this*
The shopping mall the Blues Brothers were driving through is in Harvey. I think it still may be standing but has been abandoned since just before the movie was shot. The flop house that Carrie Fischer blew up was downtown on Van Buren between Dearborn and La Salle. The tollway oasis where she blew up the phone booth is in Thornton near the monumentally huge rock quarry. The motel where Twiggy was was waiting is on Roosevelt Road, near West Chicago. The drawbridge that the Brothers jumped across is on 95th Street at the Calumet River. The orphanage, I think, is somewhere near 18th and Canal Streets. Some scenes were also shot in Milwaukee.
izhevsk1943
the church burned down a long time ago.
Dixie Square was demolished a few years back :( I'd love to have seen it!
Your info is way off! He didn’t live in the Hancock building,
He lived in a van... DOWN BY THE RIVEEEEEER!!!!!!!
You are right Adam, the buildings in Chicago are amazing!
Keep up the wonderful work Adam
It is, and it will always be, The Sears Tower. Thank you, Adam The Woo! Best vlog ever. :-)
sears tower is now willis tower. birds at 6:15 were rock pigeons and house sparrows. might be a good way to pass time - learning about local wildlife and identifying for Adam the Woo's wild kingdom! make sure to go to second city sometime if you're a big chris farley fan!
Definitely stepping up the quality of the vlogs. Good job.
I'm a local & I had no clue the Tribune building was festooned with all that cool stuff from across the world, thanks Woo!
Some very good shots in this one. Nice work!
this is my most favorite video you have done because i love gangsta history
one of your best videos in a long time great work
Dillinger didn't die in front of the Biograph, it was a stand-in named James Lawrence, but cool video anyway.
Those apartment towers with the parking lots halfway down are used as the album art for the band Wilco on their 2001 album Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. Fun Fact!
ahh very interesting , thanks for the info
Wilco has their "loft" in that building and has recorded a number of their records there, including YHF. Also, the building was used as the home of Bob Newhart in the original 1970's "Bob Newhart Show". And now you know...
Those towers were also the inspiration for the buildings in the Hanna-Barbera cartoon "The Jetsons". There was also a movie in the 1970's where they drove a car off the car park into the river. (I'd tell you the name if I remembered)
"Hunter" with Steve McQueen I think.
TheMadManMack I stand corrected. Not Sharkey's Machine, but The Hunter - McQueen's last film.
You make a very good video sir, that was really interesting and well edited. Thanks for sharing.
Knowing dates and locations is called “research” and Adam does it well!
Once in awhile he gets it wrong but most always on target
Top rate Vlog. Awesome editing and camera work.
lots of history there, very interesting. have a great day Adam
I'll probably never go to the Midwest it's nice to see it vicariously! Beautiful city!
I must add, that after watching your video, I watched a few others about the Dillinger/Biograph killing made by people who have NO idea of what they are talking about. Thank goodness YOU at least did some research.
I LOOK FORWARD EVERY DAY TO YOUR VIDEOS
Trying to find videos i missed, Mr. Adam.. This Texas boy loves your videos..
Adam you are legend
That streak of color at sunset
between the highrises was nice.
hey Adam you need to venture to the North East of England...its windy, often chilly and pretty you would love the old buildings and castles..great vlogs..thanks for sharing your journey with us
Leave it to you Adam, always keeping us informed thank you for being awesome love to do that where I live but it's Canada nothing up here but trees and igloos lol can't wait for your next adventure.
I work in the Leo Burnett building where you walked by a few times, Wayne's World did a few scenes there if you stop by again. Great to see you in my home town.
7:37. Bullet holes? Those are period marks after the A and the D!!! smh
Great video, Adam. Enjoy Chicago, it's a cool place.
7:36 No Woo. NO.
Those were periods, not bullet holes.
AWESOME vlog today!!!! Never been to Chicago. I enjoyed it very much
I miss these kinds of videos. 300k subs soon!!!!
Adam The Woo......YOU ARE SO FREAKING AWESOME!!!! I have to watch it every night before I go to bed. Hooked like a fish.
who else is surprised Adam didn't get his camera stolen when shooting those long angle walking shots.
John Wayne I’m always surprised by that
WAO! Really enjoyed this vlog. Top work, mate! 👊🏼
Some great stuff today, Mr. Woo! Hope you're enjoying your travels. Btw...noticed the hoodie. Have the same one. Picked it up on our Disneyland trip. That thing is the most comfortable hoodie I've ever owned!
