    OMG love the HOBBIT HOLE!!!!!!!| downloading the tutorial asap!
    how thick is the wool felt sheets and can you use any thickness?|
    How do i keep myself from over felting, i keep wanting to make things super sturdy i tend to make flat things, like the landscape i keep at it till its smood and flat and sturdy. or is that what you actually want with a 2D piece?

    • @LivingFelt
      @LivingFelt  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Sammiej! First of all, you can do anything, girlfriend...so plan to have fun with it :) For the 2D, I MOST OFTEN make mine flat and smooth also. The 100% Wool Felt Sheets are awesome for this. You can use the thin 1mm like I did in this show, or go thicker. They can really take the dense application of fiber without puckering...and you don't have to worry about "over felting it" ... felt it down as much as you want.

    I had trouble hearing the questions. It might help if you would repeat them before you answer them. Also, you changed needles occasionally...I 'm new at this and would like to know what # and why you changed. Thanks for doing these. It looks fun.

    • @LivingFelt
      @LivingFelt  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Robin, thank you for your feedback. We do INTEND to do this, sometimes we forget :) This is a good reminder. On the changing of the needles, the YELLOW is a 42 Triangle and it for fine surface work. Great for leaving minimal needle marks. Otherwise, I was using a coarser needle to poke the wool down. Everyone has different tastes... play with a few needle sizes and see how you like them :)

    Hi! When you say "cut long fibers" do you mean actual cutting with the scissors or knife, or do you mean the process of stacking and pulling? I have a lot of merino top and want to try using it for 2d and would love some advice on how to use it best! :) Thanks xxx

    • @LivingFelt
      @LivingFelt  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jessica and thanks for your question. You can cut the Merino fibers...and I suggesting mixing them up for 2D so they are going in different directions unless you are making a straight line. The stacking and pulling is hand blending. Have fun! :)

    • @jysk713
      @jysk713 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LivingFelt Thank you for the response! Is there a length you would recommend cutting it down to? I noticed that sometimes when I cut the ends of the fiber, the blunt ends get a bit hard to felt down :(
