I'm amazed that you play most of the times digital stuff and yet your tone has so much harmonics and dynamics. One of the best tones in youtube.

Brilliant! I did not understand a word you said but the universal language of music came through loud and clear. Great demo of the Palmer unit (and the GT8 for that mater). Thanks very much for the informative demo. I am sold on the Palmer.

jack, the solo that begins and concludes this video is a real beauty; some time when you have the time, I hope you will record it apart from discussion of the Boss GT-8. Thank you for sharing your music; i love your elegant and expressive phrasing and tone.

excellent break out solo at the end! :) nice combination of classic rock licks and more "modern" fret runs without going over board. I liked that a lot. I have a GT-8 - sure as hell doesnt sound like that! greetings from Scotland. Keep up the good work!

Fantastic player!! I just love the sound of that. And the vast majority of that lot is Pentatonic. Apart from the obvious bits that arent!
Delay time is fantastic aswell. Just perfect!

1.28 : introduction about how he set up.
1.28 - 2.19 : He uses palmer connect via send-return method into GT-8 by using palmer as speaker simulator and also use pre-amp and effect of GT-8 and Line out to computer sound card
    2.20 : Clean effect testing.
2.35 : Clean effect testing but turn plamer off.
    2.58 : Plamer On.
    3.30 : Plamer with Overdrive
4.10 : Only Overdrive without Plamer. Sound very distort he said.

For a century old multi-effects board, there's still a lot, including me, that would want to maximize the features of this complex pedal board but, there's not much review and walk-throughs available. Could you please make another one in English? Thanks in advance and hope to hear back from you!

    You misunderstood.
That midi pickup thing was just equiped, but he wasn't using it to record this vdo. He used magnetic pickups as usual, not that midi pickup he equiped. So the sound came from Squier and magnetic pickups directly input to Boss GT-8 and then from Boss GT-8 to Palmer PDI09 and then again from Palmer PDI09 directly to his soundcard at his PC. No midi pickup was used in this vdo.
It sounds good bcuz he's got godhands.
I'm Thai and I understand what he said. :)

@exegesisman No, the palmer is his speaker simulator- he uses it a lot, or used to.... gt-8 is seperate from the speaker simulator check some of his other videos they all are ususally using the simulator.

    • @rogerfelez7478
      @rogerfelez7478 6 ปีที่แล้ว

newpixeldude if your Spider Valve has an FX Loop, use the mono out of the GT-8 to the FX Return of the Spider. If the GT-8 has an output menu, set the output source to Combo Return. I've used this method with a GT-1 and a Hughes and Kettner combo and it sounds amazing!
