I, along with my mom and friend used to dance to those songs when performing in Toronto, Ontario Canada. I had to give up Japanese dancing due to medical conditions. I really miss those days. 😢😢😢😢😢
My Yorkshire mother used to dance this with our two maids in the living room when I was a small boy in Japan. I loved it then and I still love to see and hear this. My mother who never spoke a word of Japanese was much loved by her Japanese friends and neighbors. Many years later in Geneva she would take comfort from an ivory statue of the Lord Buddha that we had in the foyer. I sometimes wonder if it did not stem from the time I rang the great gong at the shrine in Kamakura and prayed for more ice cream at lunch. All are dead now and all is gone - shadows of memory. I am old but I will always love the Japan that is gone.
