Stephanie, Heather et al: Download should be fixed now (4/3/24). If not, then I have forgotten what assets I promised during the video and uploaded the wrong ones LOL. If so, please let me know again in the comments!
Hello, yes even though the title of the email now aligns with the 12 Days of Skp class, I am still getting a link to the download of Procreate files for Plan to Perspective.
I'm truly amazed by the designed interaction for extrusion-so cool! After watching the Apple event, it struck me how the rolling feature of the Apple Pencil Pro could be integrated into SketchUp for iPad. Imagine rolling the pencil to rotate an object, change the tiling direction, or shift the drawing from the XY plane to the YZ plane just by rolling it! Can't wait to try it out. :D
Great ideas! From your lips to the gods of Sketchup's ears, hopefully!? Can you share with everyone how you're using iPad drawing in your personal or professional life?
Hi there - I would like to find out how the Ipad air / pro models handle larger sketchup files. I want to buy something like ipad air / pro that will make me mobile for architectural & interior work but im afraid that sketchup on ios is not stable it isint going to allow my models from my pc to be worked on the ipad if im not around the pc. I do know the bigger 1 and 2tb models offer a extra 8gb of ram but from what i have seen it hardle even gets used in a head to head battle comparison to normal 8gig versions. Unfortuantely they didnt test sketchup on the 16gb ram version so im hoping that you perhaps have done something like that ( most homework i did the sketchup viewer has 100mb file size limit or it will keep crashing) It will really burst my bubble if i cant use this for what im hoping i can - your response will be utmost appreciated. Thanks for the great channel keep up the good work
Man, such a great question, and way above my pay grade. I honestly haven't gone as deep as this but I will forward your comment to Mike Tadros at Sketchup for iPad, and get back to you. He usually takes a while to answer such things but I'll try. Second suggestion would be to go to an Apple Store and maybe ask if you could try to open up one of your g=huge models on a new iPad Pro? Third idea would be to take a serious look at your model, evaluate exactly what it is you wish to accomplish, and consider using your iPad for a limited set of tasks, like refining the design in a coffee shop, etc. On first thought it would seem challenging to open and make progress on a huge model, especially if there was a lot of stuff in there that you didn't necessarily need during your mobile outings. In summary, SkiP (as I like to call it) is great at concept design, but I sure wouldn't want to use it for huge important models, especially when its so much easier and more stable to use desktop. Does that help? I'll go ahead and fwd your question still.Talk soon--J
