@MightyR.D.B i started playing MTG in high school in the 90’s and haven’t played again since 2017ish. Started playing edh like 2 years ago for the 1st time FWD to now I have about 20 EDH decks everytime I say I’m done making a deck I make like 2 more, just finished a talrand, Sky summoner and sold it for $40. 😂😂😂😂 I have a play group of 6 guys at my job and my 11 year old son has 7 decks. To me You haven’t played magic until you’ve played Edh.
@MightyR.D.B channels like this one and the $20 precons are great ways to learn how to build decks. My 2nd and favorite deck was reap the tides. I pulled a Kinnen and swapped him in as the commander and just started slowly upgrading it as I went along... that deck hasn’t be knocked out of my Mount Krushmore. My approach is to see as many decks that are similar and different. Then I add cards that none of them have and I come here for the finishing touches. I love old powerful budget cards that I’ve never heard of. I hope that help with the wetness behind the ears.

I'm happy you mentioned Last-Ditch Effort, for I have loved that card in my Krenko list. I have a recommendation if you ever want to do it: Soulblast. I ran this in my Omnath, Locus of Rage deck and I fricken loved it. They try to boardwipe, I in return kill about 1-2 players.
I hope when you get to "S', you mention one of my favorite sleepers in my red anti-lands deck (Blood Moon, Price of Glory, etc.) - Shivan Harvest. It's also just a good red sac outlet like Goblin Bombardment in decks where that matters.
I use Lat-Nam's Legacy in my Kykar polymorph deck, its perfect. Get rid of a fatty you cant cast and dig for a polymorph spell. I also use Credit Voucher, there is another odd ball card you could feature. Cool series!

Great picks! I really think last laugh has major potential. I'm going to try it in Elenda. Last ditch effort is great for a red token deck. Not too many sac outlets like this in red. Would be especially good with something like scute swarm, but might try it in my boros token deck
Last Laugh is one of the best pseudo-boardwipes for budget builds. It is no Toxic Deluge, but it can wipe a field easily and deal a LOT of damage to the table. I have used it to kill tables that were running token themes.
Kill Switch would be great in an Alibou deck. If you use it last tap all your artifacts which is what Alibou wants. Also Kindle the Carnage would be amazing for Toralf deck. Toralf says all yoru spells and planswalker abilities that do damage have trample, so the extra damage would go to the player. Ive been thinking about making a Toralf deck
Krosan Beast has been an all-star in my UG Threshold list for years. Now with Grolnok i fill my yard faster than ever before. Also look at Mystic Enforcer and Fledgling Dragon for cheap Threshold beatsticks. The Dragon is a beast under a Blood Moon.
Kusari gamma Has been a pet card for most of my voltron decks for years... Also I've a kill switch I haven't found a deck for yet but I'm sure I'll find it a home eventually. XD
Tainted sigil and last laugh is a good synergy. Use the sigils ability to start last laugh pinging then let the stack resolve and replace all the life you list.
I just took Last Laugh out of my Massacre Girl deck. I could not for the life of me figure out how the stack resolved when both would go off at the same time
Killswitch is in my heavy metal mtg collection, along with Deicide, Iron Maiden, Roots, the manticore that makes White Zombies etc. I wasn't gonna say anything but u mentioned the band, so I had to 🤘

I remember when I found Last Laugh and stuck it in a deck. A buddy plays Ghave, and when Laugh entered the battlefield, everyone was like, "okay?" Then Ghave sacced one Saproling and everything snowballed until the board was clear and everyone had lost like 15 life. People were like, "Wow. I did not expect THAT."

I play Kill Switch in my Daretti Artefact Deck. The win Combo is Kill Switch + Mycosynth Lattice + Unwinding Clock - GG Untapping each of my opponents turns while they can do nothing. It's almost the sae combo like Karn and Mycosnyth Lattice
I like last laugh I am gonna run it in my zombie deck cause with dictate and the new zombie commander with any indestructible giving source to just spawn a bunch of zombies and trigger dictate of erobus to for them to sac everything while I make more zombies that will die forcijg more sacs
march of the machines deals with treasures and friends a lot better than killswitch tbh and is a sort of stax effect on artifacts (they gain summoning sickness)
i think this doesn't work as you thought. the swan taking damage creates draw triggers but before you get to draw the cards kindle of carnage has to fully resolve. so you can only discard as many cards as you had in hand when you casted that spell. but still it's a neat interaction, just not infinite.
Wheels are dog water in cedh now… majority of the decks usually win with their win cons in the graveyard anyways, this is especially true now since they banned hullbreacher.

Man, Mercadian Masques really had a whirl on their creative designs. There's 1 in almost every 10 cards video and we never get tired looking for more.
Mercadian masques the dark scourge legends and the urza block are goldmines for super underplayed cards

Kusari Gama in my Kamahl, fist of Krosa deck is funny: Equipped creature gets blocked, turn a bunch of their lands into 1/1's and have them die :P

You talk about secret commanders in this video quite a bit it would be really cool if you made a video talking your philosophy behind making one.

I think you still draw during your draw step with Kyren Archive out. Doesn’t say “skip your draw step.” Idk if that makes it better or worse
you do still draw yes. but in a deck like maralen where you can't draw it still allows you to put cards in your hand.

With no tribal synergies ghoultree or molderhulk would be better than krosan beast in a graveyard deck
