@@yotaxpedition It wont leak. I deleted my roof rack on my 2003 4runner 7 years ago & still no issue. I did use some RTV though. I think the roof rack kit originated as a kit for the FJ Cruiser, But it also fits on all the other SUV's.
.... do NOT loose the female plastic nut inserts in the roof.... or you'll have to remove the headliner to get back at it again..... (like 12 hours)

They forced the nuts in my rack from the factory, I ended up snapping the u joint inside… headliner removal is gonna be fun.
