just ordered this same exact rack. pricey but my buddy has tons of accessories sitting around for it. he has never had one complaint about it either. i can't wait to install it. i plan to run a kayak and tons of other things. glad this was just posted .

Most roof rack manufacturers avoid stating their rated capacities because they won't sell. Understand static and dynamic load force before you attempt this. Just saying 😅
Loving this! How would you compare this to the sherpa rack! I def want to do the ddd crosslink on my 4runner but would def have to get brackets that you are using! I know u said custom but can you make more?? It would be perfect
@@Runnin4Tacos did you use their no drill option for the rack, i dont want ro drill with the slimline roof! The baja designs brackets look perfect with the crosslink! It looks perfect, i wanted a gobi style rack but im in canada and disnt want steel as it would rust so this seems to be perfect
You never answer the dynamic and static weight capacity of the racks you buy…Much less the off-road capacity. Your setup looks dangerous and will eventually fail in aggressive off-road conditions. Is it only attached with to the 2 factory mounting points? If so not enough. The Front Runner site does not give a off-road capacity. My calculations would be no more than 166lb off-road capacity,less if you subtract the weight of the rack. Front Runner does not state if their dynamic weight capacity includes the weight of the rack. The most important part of rack review is the off-road weight capacity. Try doing a correct review in the future and also focus on the attachment method. It doesn’t matter how tight the water jug attaches to the rack if the weakest point the attachments fail.
Main reason why I got this for my wife’s RAV4. So many accessories available.
Anyone know have specifics on this Front Runner rack with regards to wind noise if driving highway speeds?

Both racks are great. I love the way the sherpa legs mount to the roof. Makes it a lot easier.

At least on my tundra crew max I can shake the whole friggen truck by the front runner roof rack. Very very solid.
