No, it belongs to a historic preservation trust set up by the Cuban government. The multi-million dollar restoration done over the past 20 years or so was a joint effort by conservators from the US and Cuba working together on site. I am so glad that differences were set aside to make this happen. I wish I could get to Cuba to see the Finca. Mariel goes there like a tourist, same as you or me. The only difference is, because she is family, she gets to go inside.
