I've been watching and thoroughly enjoying Matt's videos and I've been inspired and I have an idea... Matt is here in these videos and he lives on, with us. I totally respect the sentiment, but I think we can go further, like this... while we are watching the videos let us say that Matt is with us through his beautiful flying. Instead of resting, we're taking him up for another spin... We fly again! Ten years from now some of us will come back here and take Matt up with us again. In this way his wonderful spirit continues to fly with us. When I fly a sailplane some day in the future I will in spirit bring him along for the adventure.
Love your chuckling throughout the video, reminds me of myself when I first experienced ridge and wave lift at Porta Westfalica (Germany)! Happy flying!
Awesome! "You little Rascal" Great to have some vids with music and some with out. I have a hard time understanding the radio replies from the other pilots, you come in crystal clear. If you think about it, maybe repeat what they are talking about for the gopro.
Hello Im 14 have just done my first flight after my solo today I really enjoyed the video thanks for fuelling my passion Oh and what's that ' satnav' thing what is it called and what does it do?
Hey Balleka, thank you for your videos. If only I could be a glider pilot :( If you had a ventilation disorder on one ear, and a perforation of your eardrum (which would lead to a slight loss your hearing) could fix it, would you do that to carry on flying gliders (and if you wouldn´t be a professional pilot :) ) ?
Robert Bruhns just Sailplanes with one seat. To pull up an Sailplane with two saets, you have to take the C-42 with an 100ps machine. You can also take an 80ps machine, but it isn't fun. 😅
@@joshuasetford4032 Reading the final report it looked like he spun in. We lost a good guy there. Remember, cable brake, nose down till you have flying speed BEFORE any turn. Watch over us Matt.

How very sad.... Mike did a terrific job in filming what made flying gliders so much fun. RIP updrafts forever. :(
outstanding flying and best video so far! nice to watch.
What a sweet view! Love your video! Thanks for putting it together and sharing it!
Between you and Bruno Vassel I don't think I need a pilots lic. I can live vicariously through you guys😳 brilliant video and flight👍
Great control. Thanks for taking us along!
This totally captured the serenity of wave flying with friends. My smile is lighting up this cold room.
Nice one Team North Hill!

Awesome video dude! BTW what a fantastic landing right on the headwheel without the slightest bounce! :)
how easy is it to nail that kind of landing?
thanks!
Great flying, grey weather but good feelings
Good morning ..... Thanks for the ride !!!!
Matt is for ever in the sky now :'(
Amazing footage, enjoyed every second - thank you! Poor confused vario at 31:25. :D :D :D
So serene - without some dreadful music to destroy the ambiance.

Hey Guys great footage, nice editing...relaxed sunday afternoon...
1:45 the Bruno Vassel view :D
Pretty day, fun to share with your mates...
Liked the wind sock check, as well...
I didn't thought it was possible to glide with that conditions hahaha in Spain clouds are not in a so clear double layer
R.I.P Balleka
amazing! keep doing it ..vids without background music 👍
Yes.... also because some vids are blocked in Germany because of the music in it!
Wonderful!!!!!!!

I really enjoyed the video thanks for fuelling my passion
Oh and what's that ' satnav' thing what is it called and what does it do?
Congratulations! It just keeps getting better!
is this one of the steps to become a actual pilot of commercial aviation?
William Baldwin well done. You will always remember it. Stay safe and work at your own speed to gain experience.
Balleka thanks for your reply I'll check it out
miksal26 thanks
RIP 😢
wow, only because of that, I would really like to get my glider license aswell :-D
smile and wave - thanks and bye bye
I've just remembered how annoying FLARM got on this flight.
RIP matt...

how are you fix the GoPro on the wing ?
Now that's a Saffer accent if I ever heard one...
Balleka eish... same as my old lady...
ikarus c42 as a towplane.. interesting

What is the make of your glider?
That was too much fun on a crap day. Is there any sharp stills from around the 24min mark?
Bugger, was hoping there was a 4K version. No problem.
Do you record the sound with the gopro mic or with another system ?
thanks for the quick reply ! Keep it up with your awesome vids ! :)
Balleka ( M5 ) ... you an Bruno Vassel is the best ...... go on, but no music, please
❤👌🏻👍🏻
Balleka what is the name of the maker of your plane?
It was an ASW24.
"Was", because he was destroyed in an accident last month.
Matt did not survived. :-(
what happened?
It must be this accident aviation-safety.net/wikibase/wiki.php?id=191862 but what actually happened I didn't find out yet.
I believe it was a spin off a winch cable break. Not sure though.

Je comprends pourquoi tu viens dans les Alpes !
Flarm?
Collision avoidance. It starts beeping when he is flying adjacent to other gliders.
Heard warning beeps ,I am aware of what it is , Have an ASW 20 that needs instrument upgrade . Looking into best fit
Can someone tell me what happened to this guy? I am an rc gliding enthusiast.
he died in a gliding accident :(
@@dari6795, sorry to hear that.
