It looks good. Still wish this was not a P-Bandai. I built and painted the original 1/100 HG Heavyarms Custom over a decade ago and it's one of more favorite mechs from Wing. Sometime I would like the MG but right now, it's prohibitively expensive. In a few years Bandai may do a reprint and if prices are good, I may get it then.
P-Bandai is the reason I gave up on Gunpla. Altron and Heavy Arms being siphoned through exclusivity is a major turn-off for me. Nice to see Jabman's reviews are still worth watching even though I've given Gunpla the finger.
you know.. not everything is an evil scheme straight out of austin powers. alot of the time they have left over runners from the original full releases. and they create p.bandai kits to make use of those parts... they don't print it all in limited numbers to force scarcity.. it's more like recycling existing assets. they do, do purpose built for p.bandai like the mkv or f90 but.. 99% of them are made to recycle old parts and give collectors extra options..
Not really. They had existing molds to reuse so obviously they'll reuse, recolor, and add in new accessories and make it a P-Bandai. Look at all of the P-Bandai kits we've gotten over the past few years. Most/all of them have been like that. bandai are ridiculous. gundam wing is now almost 20 years old and they still havent made the classic kits in mg available. instead they do this pbandai shit when they KNOW everyone wants them and they would sell like crazy. bs.
Well the big point of the Kai was adding the space movement thruster upgrades. And I imagine counter balancing the momentum its weapons must generate. And bullets (though the big guns are supposed to be beam weapons that were assumedly modded for the battle on earth.... because reasons I guess?) DO work just fine in space.... Buuut yeah it'd need a pretty heavy rearming for underwater. better just let the Deathscythe handle it.
I just finished building this kit and had the same issue on the skirt and the front missile covers being loose. I'm also having issue with the mask. Did your mask just snap on? Mine doesn't seem to want to stay.

kinda sick of all the people complaining about p.bandai.. it's like being pissed you don't get extra pickles your burger every time... they are made to use up part's that were already printed for other releases... so it's more like recycling then anything else. and since your not going to get alot of kits to sell out of a project like that. they do a limited release on p.bandai because they just realistically don't have enough of them to do a full release... most of them are color swaps of other kits.. you could make the one you want yourself.. i just don't get the butt hurt.. from were i'm sitting the only time people don't like exclusivity.. is if they are the ones being excluded..
I just saw another pre-owned for $60 on their website, but when I asked for a shipping estimate they said it weighs 1.7 kg which according to their shipping chart was going to cost $35 in shipping if you live in the U.S. so...kinda backed out of that "deal."

knightsoulful Apply superglue, pledge floor polish, or clear paint to the joint and move it around until the substance dries. This should tighten the joint up enough to hold the weapons securely again. I haven't tried this, but I've heard this on multiple forums, and mecha gaikotsu has a tutorial on how to do this. If you're still unsure, just search up tighten joints or the like on TH-cam and you should find a video on how to do this.
heavy arms custom: p-bandai, expensive, 90%+ same as h-arms ew, thumbs up from you on the other hand, psycho zaku: verka, slightly more expensive (if not the same) than harms custom, lot of stuff, monster kit, n many new parts, etc. but you couldn't give a thumbs up. seems biased to me. but thumbs up for your vids

I've gotten lucky and sold a bunch, but I still have a lot I want to sell. Times are tough and also not much time really. I get a day or 2 every now and then off, but usually I'm at work 7 days a week including holidays. It can get busy in the office. Do you have a channel? Maybe you could post Gunpla videos?
Would want to... but between a day job, building gunpla, some other hobbies, and (gasp) responsibilities, I simply don't have that much time. Opening up a channel would also mean investing on equipment (camera, a decent computer for editing, microphone, lighting, a good space for shooting, etc.) and software (well there are free ones, so pretty much just the hardware). Not a millionaire so I have to prioritize what I spend on. (Confession time: I only buy Gunpla when I can get them for a really low price. I stray from bootlegs, though.) Besides, there are already a ton of great gunpla channels here (including this one). I can say I'm nowhere near the expertise of these guys. Well, maybe I'd shoot an amateur video, like a "my collection so far" once I made considerable progress towards my backlog. I actually only build every now and then as well. We're pretty much in the same situation (What's a "holiday"? XD). Only built a few kits within a span of years. So, that MG Gyan and MG Heavyarms would probably be a year or so apart. XD
heavyarms uses mainly kinetic bullets to attack, so it would be completely useless underwater. just watch him jump in, and sink and sink and just...see ya

I wouldn't use black for white parts. The contrast will be too stark and look ugly. Use grey instead. Use black to panel line darker coloured parts and brown for yellow.
I don't mind P-Bandai as a concept, but what really Irks me is the fact that Bandai doesn't open up their P-Bandai system to North America and the Philippines.
For the US, we don't even have a dedicated, official Bandai GunPla store. Just retail stores buying GunPla from their distributors to sell GunPla. So of course we won't have our own P-Bandai store.
I think you forgot Europe -_- here its even harder to get gunpla than in the US. Also if they would Do that everyone will complain (Like Im doing right now XD) that its so unfair that Other people can get p bandai super cheap and here its at least 4 times the price :/
Steffey Well, GunPla is not really for US or UK market. It's all about what Japan wants, and what the Japanese consumers want (for example). We should just be happy that they even make certain kits as P-Bandai since it's better than not existing at all. Just shop around and you should be able to get even exclusive kits for not as much as some of the more mainstream places to buy limited kits.

I wasn't aware that GunPla was big in Germany as well as the US. =) I've never actually been to Germany before. GunPla,like any other hobby, is expensive and time consuming. So even if you're looking for P-Bandai kits,you have to expect to pay a little more even if you can find good deals. Perhaps try looking on eBay? I live in the US (as I said) and I often will use eBay to buy rare kits. If it's a non-business/regular person selling, I always ask to see if the seller is willing to work out a deal. Sometimes I get lucky and they discount a little.

Can I complain if it's not worth the price I'm paying? Especially with kits like the GM Cannon, it's absurd how high the prices are for kits that should've been standard release in the first place, especially when the quality doesn't match the price.

Joeie Rivera Yes! This!! GunPla is not a cheap hobby so as with any hobby, you must be prepared to spend money on it if you want to keep at it. The same applies to other forms of entertainment and hobbies you might have like anime, manga, videogames, etc. With GunPla you can always complain about why this is a P-Bandai and why this is a retail release. Ultimately this is Bandai's decision so you either buy it or you don't. Or you can be like some others (which I don't agree with) and buy a bootleg. There's always custom building too if you're prepared to put in all the work and effort.

yep, which makes no sense, BC Wing was a much bigger hit in the West than in Jpn. and all this is doing is making middle men rich.

the covers for the missles on the front skirts aren't loose. when you close them you have to push them down to lock them into the closed position.

Mine can't hold the gatlings up anymore, it was fine at first, but now the arms can't lift them up anymore without falling down. How do i fix this?

Just shop around and you should be able to get even exclusive kits for not as much as some of the more mainstream places to buy limited kits.
xxnike629xx yeah I guess you Are right, Most people recommend samueldecal, but im sceptical with the shipping feel because sometimes shipping stuff from Japan to germany is really expensive :/ but hey, at least there Are still plenty of kits to choose from XD. Oh god next Week ill make a big big hlj order XD still havent decided what to get :D any recommendations? ^^

I've never actually been to Germany before.
GunPla,like any other hobby, is expensive and time consuming. So even if you're looking for P-Bandai kits,you have to expect to pay a little more even if you can find good deals.
Perhaps try looking on eBay? I live in the US (as I said) and I often will use eBay to buy rare kits. If it's a non-business/regular person selling, I always ask to see if the seller is willing to work out a deal. Sometimes I get lucky and they discount a little.

This kit is too damn exspensive. I bought the bootleg Supernova instead, I think it is better looking and better equip, not to mention the price is way lower

I suppose there's some truth to that. Yea it sucks that things get P-Bandai releases so much these days. But my logic is that at least Bandai made that kit in the first place. You can always learn to shop around for good deals.
Can I complain if it's not worth the price I'm paying? Especially with kits like the GM Cannon, it's absurd how high the prices are for kits that should've been standard release in the first place, especially when the quality doesn't match the price.
Ned Innis Fair enough. You're free to complain for whatever reason. The way I see it, we should be happy that certain kits even get a P-Bandai release at all.
I'd rather there be a P-Bandai than the kit not existing at all.
Even so, if you love your hobby, you spend for it. This applies if you actually love that mobile suit. If you really want it, get it.
Joeie Rivera Yes! This!! GunPla is not a cheap hobby so as with any hobby, you must be prepared to spend money on it if you want to keep at it.
The same applies to other forms of entertainment and hobbies you might have like anime, manga, videogames, etc.
With GunPla you can always complain about why this is a P-Bandai and why this is a retail release. Ultimately this is Bandai's decision so you either buy it or you don't. Or you can be like some others (which I don't agree with) and buy a bootleg.
There's always custom building too if you're prepared to put in all the work and effort.
