Can I just clarify that I actually don't want to eat hair? But I did apparently want to build this pasta machine.

This is the first time I've ever thought one of your creations was an abomination, congratulations! ❤
Instant physical recoil
Yes!
I guess at least I can lead into Halloween with some grotesque horror imagery.
Sickening
have you seen the automatic wiping ass robot?
"I knew this project was stupid because it's a stupid project. But I didn't know it was also stupid." This line is great--made me truly laugh out loud.
3:21 for anyone who is curious and can't watch the whole video.
When you finally realize Carrot Top is real.
When science forgets to ask: "Should we, just because we can?"
I've been a fan for a long time and I'm fairly sure I've never seen you so nauseated by one of your creations.
Love that your engineering art covers every single human emotion possible!
Not even the zero g flight had me this nauseated
@@simonegiertzmaybe the boat sewage? 🤣🤣
@@emiliacunha, yes, that. She probably put that out of her memory though.
@@simonegiertz Imagine the 'hair' "growing" in microgravity
This is the perfect comment. Well done!
I was really hoping this would devolve into having to be a nose hair pasta machine, but the horrifying final product still did not disappoint.
I'm also super happy to see a more "classic" Simon video. Less craft project-y, and more horrifying machine-y. (Not that the craft projects aren't cool, but I just _love_ the terrible machines so much.)
She calls them $h!tty Robots 😊 (I have a salty mouth so I love saying it, but it’s not for everyone and that’s ok 🤙🏼)
I’m kinda sad it didn’t end up as a nose hair or eyeball past maker too 😂
I thought the nose was a missed opportunity for snot pasta
@@heidihobson4525 Gooey Louie 2: "Now You Can *Eat* the Goo!"
I've never had such a visceral reaction to one of Simone's creations before. my god, the final product is frightening 🤣 I love it!
Happy Halloween, I guess?
Thanks. I haven't laughed that hard in years. Doctor pimple popper - look out.
Scariest thing I've seen this October! Thanks!
I really like the way your mind work. 😘 and happy Halloween
It's really heads on 😂 love your work 😊 jätte roligt, Simone
Hilariously original
Silent laughing while nearly crying Simone is and always will be my favorite part of a Simone video.
I think it was more "silent crying while nearly laughing" than the other way around.
My grandmother does the same. So I guess it's genetic.
This would be perfect for Spätzle 😉
The nearly retching part was good too!
@@simonegiertz Bless them genes then, Miss Giertz.
This was terrible from an aesthetics, design, and execution perspective, but it made me laugh and smile so, so much. Thank you Simone! Great video! 😂😂😂
Pasthetics
your phrasing says it for all of us, i was gonna try but you've already encapsulated it all here, thanks for that
In some ways, back to her roots with a new, terrible robot.
@@coldravioli7839I almost forgot that Simone started out as the "Queen of Shitty Robots".
This is the one project I did not need to witness but still I am glad that I did. Thank you for making the worlds' first goatee pasta maker so that we don't have to. You are a saint among humans.
I wasn't sure what I was feeling, but you captured it. Didn't need to witness but still glad I did.
@@howcanikeepfromsingingi really appreciate that they acknowledged Simone made this so we don’t have too 😂. Very thoughtful, lol
Your incessant silliness and ingenuity brings me much joy. I'm glad you're on this planet and doing your thing. Much love, Simone. Keep being yourself.
This is, hands down, Simone's shhittiest robot to date. That being said, I love how despite anything, she stayed committed and took it to the last consequences. You go girl.
oh wait as in r/shittyrobots...damn, that's where I knew the name from!
I really love how quickly you go from trying to unscrew the bottom to bashing it repeatedly on the table edge. This is the kind of iterative design methodology I'm here for.
There's a moment in Frankenstein where Victor sees his creation rise and realises the horrific reality of what he's done. The doctor runs screaming into the street. You had that moment in this video and it was one of the most genuine reactions I think I've ever seen.
She knew what was going to happen but was still horrified by the result!
9:36 - your awkward-in-disgust laugh is one of my favourite things ever
The basketball 🏀 in the doll head was everything I hoped it would be and so much more. I laughed so hard I snorted! My toddler kept asking me what was so funny but I couldn’t breathe 😂😂😂
This video was EVERYTHING Simone 💜 Thank you 🙏🏼 again for sharing your beautiful and brilliant brain 🧠 😊❤
Simone brings us a whole new type of Creepy Pasta. Happy Halloween! 🎃
Ok that made me laugh a little too loudly
Facts
Your comment is the best
Someone should cut a horror trailer from this video, honestly :D :D
Just what everyone needs, an impractical, very hard to clean pasta maker that instantly puts you off your food. Never change Simone 😊
I’m very excited about the dieting applications of this shitty robot 😂
I feel Simone could title her videos anything at this point and I'd still be here excited
awww. thank you.
She's event television for me.
I mean, it's already happening...
YEP lol
@@simonegiertz Now you have to title your next video "Anything at This Point".
The look of remorse as you begin the process is priceless. This one had my cackling and yelling "Simone, nooooo!"
I haven’t laughed this hard in a long time. Thank you for sharing this reaffirming mess of a project. Really fantastic to watch your process. I needed that!
The comedy value on this alone is why I keep watching, not laughed like this for ages.
Y'know I never once looked at my Play-Doh hair salon and thought "hmm this would be a cool way to make pasta"... But it would certainly make the process more fun!
I kept waiting for her to acknowledge it and that method of making it extrude. 😂
I DID want to eat the Play-Doh hair "pasta" so this makes my childhood dreams a reality 😂
At the head change my thought was, "Oh, going from barbie to Jamie Hyneman?
Edit: Then we went to hipster?
As soon as she said "I want to make this head into a pasta machine!" I instantly thought, "You mean something like th the Play-Doh hair salon?"
You may not have played with dolls, but you had a fun childhood at some point.
Even when she's horrified at herself, Simone still gives me hope in humanity. 😂😂😂❤❤❤
The bar is seemingly very low for humanity
@@simonegiertzthe bar is getting lower every day, your work is always fun if not functional. I laughed so much at the basketball head !!!
@@simonegiertz OR, your content is just *that* good that it brings out the best part of humanity that only shows up in the strangest situations?
@@simonegiertz The bar is on the floor and it's made of lava.
@@simonegiertz cmon, don't be humble.. you're the best of us :)
i love the pan around at 3:09 as if that can be considered a finished product
Maybe you could add an audio chip with a recording of "Simone, I throwed up..."
As always, this is wonderful Simone. You bring so much joy to the world with your creativity and humor.
You can tell Simone was eager for this to be over, because she didn't end with her usual "OK, bye"...
She's half-expecting that everyone's already clicked away at that point.
I genuinely laugh harder at Simone's videos than at anyone intentionally doing comedy. We need more of this!
❤
Simone, the moment I saw the first batch of spaghetti coming out of the guy’s chin I was laughing so hard.
😂
Thanks!
I think.
Crazy.
"I knew this project was stupid because it's a stupid project, but I didn't know it was also stupid."
Relatable for far too much of my life.
I love how you display your failed attempts. You could have labelled this video "I made an edible goatee machine" or something and I would have been both true and clickbait enouth to have the same success this one is having (even more), while only showing the "successful" part. But no, you decided to share the whole process, failures, adjustments, etc.
You always do this but idk why this time it was even more striking. It's SO IMPORTANT for people to see that failure is a normal thing that is part of the process in making anything.
Okay.
I'm not the kind of person who laughs uncontrollably, but when that basketball started inflating I began cackling like a lunatic. The judgy looks I got from my two cats before they both slowly walked out of the room only made me laugh harder.
Thank you, I really needed that.
Then, you brought out the other head. The eleven-year-old boy that dwells at that center of my soul began to hope, desperately, that we were about to see nostril pasta.
Nostra.
The elongated pimple pasta was, however, truly a work of art.
Thank you once again, Simone. You have helped me end this rather blah day with joy and I can never thank you enough.
you know, some people plan all year on how to make the scariest, most nightmare fuel video for Halloween, and you blew everyone out of the water (possibly on accident, I don't know your motives). congratulations! 🎃🎃🎃🎃
i would pity anyone sad enough to spend an entire year planning for one single day, especially a recurring one,not like a wedding or anything unique.
@@bloodlove93 Why is it sad? Many people spend the year planning and executing their Halloween display. It's healthier than doom-scrolling on the internet.
In the effort to create a pasta maker, Simone unintentionally created nightmare fuel
You solved the problem of cooking too much pasta. Great!
Solved the problem of ever wanting to eat pasta
@@simonegiertz you could sell that pasta in a grossery store.
With the music at the end and all the crazyness that was going on, I felt like I watched another episode of "Bee and Puppycat", and I love it!❤
And, THIS, is exactly what keeps me coming back to you Simone!!! Thank you for the many, many smiles!
Simone, your mind is a weird and wonderful place. I love your ideas and watching how you process and engineer around problems. 😄
That first go was nightmare inducing and the look of sheer horror on your face made it so much more surreal. This is the kind of content I expect from you and I'm both happy and astonished. Thank you for the much needed laugh!
I totally felt Simone when the first watery attempt was over “I hate it.” Reminded me of my first woodworking project in high school, an 8 sided clock with a box that was square on top, but half an octagon on the bottom. Crappy rabbiting, strap clamps that didn’t clamp and a badly cut piece of garbage plywood for the box back. The clocks mechanism came a pendulum, so we put a door on the front that was supposed to have a plexiglass window, but we didn’t have a router table to rabbit out the back, so the pendulums all scraped against the plexiglass, so the teacher was like, “okay just remove that”. The door was this odd shape to match the box’s half octagon bottom and the bottom of the clock face that no one got right, AND instead of routing around the outside of the octagon, but leaving it flush with the door to make it pretty, they made us round over a straight edge, rip it down, and then cut it into 8 parts and try to get the 22.5 degree angles right on equipment that couldn’t accurately cut half an angle! The 8 rounded over pieces were then glued around the face of the clock, round side inwards.
I was honestly happy when the thing fell off my parent’s wall and fell apart.
this mannequin is quite literally being held at gunpoint to make pasta.
I'm recovering from a cold and true to this project's violent nature, the laughing I started when the pasta started coming out turned into violent coughing and then more laughing and more coughing.
It was a terrible cycle.
Thank you!
This reminds me so much of the Play-Doh hair salon set I had when I was a kid! And also the endless hours my mom spent with a toothpick cleaning-up the hundreds of little holes through which the hair came out 😁
I had the pasta machine set & it was me cleaning it up with a toothpick because my Mum thought it would teach me the error of my ways in asking for that kind of impractical toy as a present if I also had to clean up the mess. Why did it stick so well to plastic & dry so quickly on it? Was a nightmare lol.
Me too! It’s all I could think about through the entire video.
YES! I was having flashbacks to this even though I never actually owned one. Just found the whole idea fascinating.
ive been having a terrible week or two. i see the video is posted and instantly felt a little better :) time to get lost in happy land for 11:38. Thanks simone
It'll get better!! You're getting through it.
@@simonegiertz :') You've always been one of my top creators. I tell everyone about you! Especially young girls who're interested in STEM! Thank you, this means a lot
@@topherthe11th23 I never said i tell only girls. I tell everyone. *especially* girls. I want them to see a strong, smart, woman doing STEM things. Simone is a wonderful role model for everyone! Especially girls. At least twice ive been told by parents that their daughter got hooked and love to see Simone do cool things. I think its really inspiring to see women. There are many great male role models too
Sorry if it came off wrong. I do tell everyone about the people I found cool and inspiring regardless or their gender. I only mentioned the girls because I was thinking of how happy one of the girls was watching Simones videos!
I love watching a very talented and brilliant person (you) struggle through a project, have moments of doubt, etc. Because it makes little ole me feel better when I struggle through projects too. So many people (especially aspiring artists) think that successful people must have an easy time at their job/hobby/craft, but seeing the struggle is so humanizing and (I hope) makes more people realize that you can be great even if it's not easy.
6:55 me w/ a goatee realizing my dreams of dating are dashed.
I proclaim prophesy: In the days, months, or years to come, Simone shall state, "So, don't know of you all remember the pasta machine head I made? This girl was the false start before I made the pasta moustache. I....finally have a use for her now. That's today's project."
Thus is my prophesy.
I thought I lost it when the basketball was inflated but that was nothing compared to when the first batch of pasta came out I expected it to be nice elegant beautiful perfect pasta but no 🤣🤣
Thank you for making me laugh hope you are doing well :)💖💖💖
Your laughter at the first batch coming out of the chin had me laughing so hard. Thank you for such great content, humor is the best!!😊

Both Movember and Halloween combined into one. 😀 Always fun to watch these crazy crazy ideas come to life.

Yeah it did end up being very accidental Halloween
#1 comfort youtuber. While watching your videos, I can kinda escape the stresses of everyday life. Thanks for that.
It looked like he puked *so* hard when the dough came out of his chin the first time. The second time too, but not quite as violent. I laughed, insanely much - so thank you! Thank you so, so, *so* much for that. I really needed it today.

Why would she do that to her poor dog
I needed that more than you can know; I haven’t laughed so hard in ages! Thank you so much.
I feel like this is... a perfect machine for this channel. Everything about it is unique and enjoyable to watch, and its incredibly it gets to exist on here (as in the real world it would have no market ahaha)
I cried laughing when the wet pasta flowed out of his chin, incredibly cursed project, 10/10
That was the most fun I've had in a while! Your reactions were... very appropriate.
Also, KiwiCo seems so right up your alley. If I had young kids, I'd be on it, but ours is now a nearly-finished engineering student.

For a version 2 of the hair idea; perhaps it would be possible with a colander and a rotating spatula to push the pasta.
