I'm not a fan of socialism but the Kibbutz is interesting.

@@henryblainesilver We have socialism and the difference is that we don't have to work. Comprendo?

@@henryblainesilver In the Kibbutzim people had to work very hard, and still have to. Here in Europe you could live solely on benefits. Tell ya, unemployment cheques that give a right to a legal pension, reduced rents for housing, reduced or free medical help, almost free education for schoolkids and almost free vacations. Socialism, can you follow now Silbermännchen?

It seems good since it is democratic

This seems to be a bit more of just an extended family more than a commune. guess you would just have to experience it to get a true perspective. I , personally see the business side of thi s particular one as more of a corporation than a socialist experiment. I have never been to one, but this one looks interesting.

It's ironic. The founders were urban Jews who were trying to escape from the shtetle stigma, but rebuilt them in a new land and a new way!

The trouble with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money 💰.
The old kibbutz was part of a whole frame of a welfare state. 3:50.

These people have been raised for generations in Russia and Eastern Europe so ofcourse they are use to it which has nothing to do with religion.

@🙌 👏 🙏 🤝 👍This is THE model of the future ! Its an old, ancient idea of the REAL community (144 mosaic tribes in Israel/the holy land) . Just read the good, old bible:
There NEVER EVER is mentioned any external (sic !) "government". The people ALWAYS were a genuine c o m m u n i t y not in any need of a government - except self-gov (so yes, WITHOUT any force, army, police, jails, courts, judges, etc.) -> see also the natives in north america !!! And mind you: We must get BACK to these roots - otherwise we are doomed ->
