- Obi-Wan Kenobi's Jedi Interceptor is a GREAT LEGO Star Wars set from 2016. With Obi-Wan Kenobi & R4 Minifigures this set meet's the minimum but doesn't include anything extra for the $25, very worth the money at the time for collectors and kids! Unfortunately in 2022 the set's skyrocketed in value to over $200 SEALED and I can't recommend anyone but the most hardcore LEGO Star Wars collectors shell out that much...

The wings actually open to help the vehicle cool down because it had to have that feature to allow it to be as fast and agile as it is without overheating which is why in attack formations it would need a bit of extra cooling

You can tell that he’s been sitting on uploading this for a long time now. You can see his old, “messy” shelf set up and you can hear him reference the Obi-Wan Starfighter as “coming out later on 2022.” I just find that neat

This was the set that (unintentionally) started my Lego Star Wars collection in 2016. Although I have bought many sets since, it still holds a special place in my heart and in my collection. Excellent value for its day, with excellent play features. Thanks for the review on this. In a video a few days ago, you mentioned that this should be made into a UCS set. I am in complete agreement with you on this. It is one of my favourite starfighters. This needs to be made in UCS form. If it is, then it would also be the first UCS set I own (well...if the rumours are true of an X-Wing, then maybe the second). Great review as always Ryan. Keep up the great content. Fix the wings. The empty space on each should all go one way. Just change the tops left to right and then they will be correct as per box art

I'm so glad the dark red and dark brown pieces have improved over time because the old versions of those pieces were scary to assemble.
It's even worse if they've been subjected to light and dust for years.

I (basically) got this for free when I was like 6-7. My dad got it from the Lego store and he said if I was good that day he would give it to me. My dad is the best. I still have it just taken apart and my Obi-WAN’s torso is cracked. But it’s still awesome and my dark red pieces are still pretty stable.

This set was the start of my lego collecting back in 2016
My younger brother used to have this set but he lost instruction, box, figs and destroyed most of the pieces... I Hope I'll buy this set sealed new in box for my self i really like the design of it...

So glad I bought this set in 2020 during a pandemic lockdown at near retail price. It goes well with the recent yellow Anakin interceptor.
For the lightsaber, there’s a small space behind the cockpit seat, but you’ll need to break down the Sabre to put it in. It rattles when swooshing, but I don’t care
I recently remembered how cool this set was, so I pieced it back together the other day. What a great Revenge of the Sith set!

I rember going to Walmart with my mom and buying this set and being so exited to build it.
I was very fortunate to find one someone was selling that didn’t know the value. They sold it for $44. Don’t regret it at all
I know I’m late with this comment, but I’m regards to the lightsaber, I had this set as a kid and what I would do to store the lightsaber (and still do as I have it on display in my room) is to store it in the crevice behind the seat. If you open the cockpit, there’s a bit of a cavity between the Technic structure and the cockpit hinge. If you take the blade off the hilt, you can store both pieces in that little area and close the cockpit no problem, it won’t fall out during play and isn’t noticeable on display. Doesn’t even jiggle around much if you swoosh it. Don’t know if that was an intended feature, but it works pretty much perfectly. Just thought I’d share my experience when it comes to that since that’s something you pointed out
I got this for Christmas 2016 I had only started watching star wars earlier that year so this was one of my first lego star wars sets.
I miss those old Starfighter canopy pieces.
This is such an underrated set, and I f'king hate myself for not getting this back in the day. Hopefully I can find it and Anakin's green Interceptor on Bricklink for cheap.

I have 2 of this set because my friend gave me all of his Legos when he moved and I already had the set. I also got the Milano from GoTG 1 and a few other sets from him. I will always be thankful for that goodbye gift. I also got the U-Wing which I really wanted at the time although I massacred that set.
SO glad I picked this up right before it retired. Who knows when we'll get another one
I really want this set! I’ve wanted a Jedi starfighter since I was a kid and am now just getting back into Lego. But man this set is so expensive! You’ll pay close to 100 for a used one. The episode 2 starfighter for $23 that’s out now is a great deal, but definitely no where as cool looking and nostalgic to me

Lol my former job had a webshop for their employees where they had this on discount. Bought it besides the a-wing / darth's tie set from Rebels, to prevent shipping costs. Nowadays this little thing is even more worth than the Rebels set. Wel, since you inspired me to clean up my Lego shelfs, since less is more, this one probably will end in a plastic bag. It is better, but it hurts.

I actually just bought one of these beginning of December to go with the last Anakin’s Jedi Interceptor. Awesome set. Mine was essentially NIB just the tape seals were broken but everything else was intact and mint.
I got this when I was six and built it in but one about a month ago without knowing MNR productions going to make it

I’m so angry at myself in the past for losing the part’s n’ shit, all I have left is the cockpit, the body for the droid, and kenobi’s head.
I took mine apart, used the Anakin's Jedi Interceptor (75038) build instructions with a few extra pieces had an identical one to Anakin's but with Obi Wan's colour scheme. Hey presto! no astromech poking too far out of the socket and a much better model, the way it should have been. LEGO really took a step backwards with this set when 75038 was the best one at the time.
Is this the last review filmed in this house? If so then we pay our respects.

I think they did a great job with the legs! That's not a quality control issue, that was intentional! A quick look at the source material, and you'll see what I mean
The things on the bottom are actually cannon accurate if you look close enough on the ship in ep3

I had this lego when i was a kid, i didn’t like that much star wars and it was usual for me to destroy legos.
1 year ago i was curios if i could found some of his pieces but I didn’t. So I went to see how much it costs. The regret i had was incredible.

You got the s-foil stickers wrong.The red part is supposed to go on the front side of the s-foil and the grey - yellow in the back.
I used this set for so many custom Jedi Interceptors, i ended up making maces, darth vader, Anakin, a green, orang, red one.
