They have a lot of optimisation to do. Hopefully, it launches in a well optimised state when the full game is released. There is no way they can release it in this mess.
This looks and plays exactly as I expected it to. People keep mentioning "Demo", but it comes out in September...we are in June. It definitely has potential, but I'd say it needs at least another 6 months to a year

Well, the "Forza reign" is still going strong. This game doesn't look that bad but with that performance and the online elements, its probably going to be short lived.
I love Forza, especially the Horizon series, but I do wish ACC had an open world map and a handful of production cars, that game has some amazing car handling, wheel support and force feedback
The crew has the potential to dethrone forza horizon for a bit. But... Ubisoft is so small compared to microsoft and i feel like ubisoft in general just makes dumb decisions. Motorfest for example, it is both good and bad. I feel like the original idea of the crew 1 and 2 was perfect, they just needed to expand the game with an even more insane world map, allowing the player to choose starting locations across the world, based on the location you would go for, you would have a specific set of cars to choose from at lower price points aswell, along with discounts towards specific brands, etc. Then allowing the player to travel the massive world freely and see players at random anywhere in the world, travel by ship/plane across each continent fast and between properties you would purchase/own overtime.
This is what a game like this needs to achieve. The crew already built the massive map, we just need a few additional locations for each continent, and then cars from each area to give it purpose and life, add large numbers of players into the same server to make it alive... The people you would see would jump in and out of your view distance based on where you would be on your map, like a 5km radius around the place you are, you could see other players on the world map/minimap.
If forza steps into the crews direction and starts adding more types of races/vehicles, then the competition automatically looses and forza horizon will reign supreme. FH is a great game for online play, game however, can still improve BIG TIME... World map just like i described, location based outcomes, storyline, different type of vehicles and so on.
Forza motorsport 2 had this idea of allowing us the player to choose a starter location (asia, USA, EU) and you would get different benefits from each area. This was a great idea back then, i remember picking a specific area, then aiming to get the benefits from other areas aswell.

Man I'm so disappointed, the game runs poorly for me also (4090 7800x3d). I can't see them fixing by launch either. Have to wait and see i guess.

4070Super here, runs 3440x1440 High FG @ 80fps, I don't have that much stutter actually and it runs pretty good on my setup
Graphically it looks a little bit better than need for speed from 2012, but i would need a 4070 super for this at 1080p.

DLAA is not native, DLAA is upscaled and therefore a higher internal resolution. It's basically the oposite of DLSS.
You're wrong about that. DLAA is anti Aliasing, it does not compromise the image in anyway.
I dont know why they say to this in comments that this is bad graphics. Open world looks good, for a racing game^^. But the car physics ... that car have no physics, it is like in Unreal 4 Engine standard settings for a racing game. It looks more like you control a moving box so stiff and if you can have better customs on your car, than Need for Speed Underground 2... than this game have nothing to offer. Visual look at your car, must be the biggest important thing in a racing game, after that physics and handling, after that graphics & sound, World Map, challengers or racing rivals, Custom your car in every part. Its really a shame that they never improve in Open World Racing games. It looks more like... a not finished project that came out.

They feel for me like some older NFS games, sometimes when you hit wall you will bounce off

I have also tested it. It runs...like all the new games, still a lot to work on optimization. Not really what I expected to be, really....

It's based on hong kong island. Also based on the kt engine which is known for its terrible performance relative to its output
well, the game don't have drivers yet and who knows how old that demo build is. I'm still looking forward to the game!
This game would've worked if it released in the Forza Horizon 3 era

The visuals are not bad, but nothing to shout about. The game feels a bit generic, and with the Forza & GT series (as well as recent NFS outing which is more in-line with this game) taking the lead, it's difficult to compete unless it brings something really unique. I'm not seeing that. I fear this could be a game that gets some traction in its initial release, and then declines considerably after that. And looking at the performance... hmm... not doing too good as well.
Played demo for 6h don't see anything that would convince me to play this over NFS Heat or Forzas
Lock in RTSS at 60fps, then it's smooth
Does someone has good settings? My Biggest Problem is, that at some Point the Textures need too long to load so the game starts lagging everytime the textures need to load and sometimes the road isn‘t loading fast enough so the car freezes at the point where the road is missing and continues After 20-30 seconds when the road finished loading. This is hella annoying!
u need to have the game installed on an ssd, hdd are too slow to stream the textures

There's no attention to detail in the roads, cars or environments either..just really disappointing especially considering it was 1st announced a very long time ago with hopes of continuing a beloved franchise

They have to be using ray tracing with that kind of FPS. Because if they aren’t then this is some terrible optimization.
definitely not ray tracing, the game has some of the worse screen spaced reflections i've seen and the cubed mapped reflections are of poor quality also. very noisy looking

Definitely needs work especially on optimization. Forza horizon 5 looks 10x better than this and runs circles around this performance wise.

Screw this game man. I got same frame rate as you with same settings at 3440X1440 on my 7900X, except TAA instead of DLAA. The frame rate doesn't even bother me, because the game is plenty smooth. What bothers me is... I wasn't even able to finish a single race before the server disconnected me. Also the HDR looks really bad compare to the SDR, because they never optimized the colors for HDR.

Bro's using the best of the best and still can't get it to 60fps. I downloaded the demo with my Nvidia 1650, Ryzen 5600H 8GB RAM potato. I can get the game to reach 60fps at 720p with the lowest graphics options. The game looks like a blur lmfao.

I played demo on 4K resolution with 7950x3d, 4070ti and 64 gb ddr5 6000mhz. I have 35 fps dlss off and all ultra. Again dlss ultra performance and graphics are very badand I have 45 fps.

I feel like Forspoken has been in the intro for like two years now. I know it’s kind of tough choosing games that can wear out a high-end gaming PC that also don’t suck, but the intro could be a lot better (maybe he could choose PS3/XB360 games to showcase the high-end emulation abilities).

This game looks dreadful lol im uploading a video now with my 3080 playing at 1440p and it cant even manage 60fps with DLSS on quality or balanced !! this looks no where near as good a forza horizon 5 which i can play at 4k with over 60fps on my setup. the game also has terrible frame pacing lol i dont see how they can sort this game out in 3 months. the gameplay was boring as well, what a disaster of a game lol
I can't believe they locked the steering animation... that's garbage! I don't see how this competes against motorfest or fh5 or worse if there's an upcoming new fh. The only good thing in this game is the menu for the car (headlight, hazards, spoiler, etc).
And new Forza will be in similar theme, better for them if they don't announce Forza anytime soon
