@@tshansen I started north of France went south of Paris and then back through Lyon and finished at the border of Luxembourg. Its mostly gravel roads. Some are are overgrown with grass (very slippery when wet). There are a lot of technical hillclimbs and descends with big rocks and sometimes very narrow as you get souther. The France Alps are beautiful and there is not so much tourism like in the Austrian or Italian Alps. There are also beautiful curvy tarmac roads with little traffic to get some fresh air in the helmet.

@@tshansen Most people I met knew only little english or couldn't speak english. I never had a problem communicating with the staff on campsites or restaurants. There is always somebody there who speaks basic English. However don't expect fluent conversations because they only know a few words.
Nice filming Thomas! Beautiful landscapes and good publicity for the Norwegian TET! A map with your route would be nice, especially for the foreigners, but it generally makes any travel video nice! Where is your T7? 😆 As all can see, the Norwegian TET does not require an offroad bike. But that is nice.
I have been experimenting with showing a map etc. And I did not manage to put it in there in a nice way that could add to the story. I'm working on a new way to show of map and map features in upcoming projects, that will be more including to the story. A great point, but most people will that have interest, know where to find the Norwegian TET route and can follow the trip I take based on the names I say in the video. Thank you for the comment. Will take note and see what I can do with it. Cheers
@@tshansen Yes I think that the MITAS 07+ are very highly rated and will be my option when I change the back. For the front Bret Tkacs recommended the Dunlop trailmax Mission. I do mostly road with maybe 20% off-road for the moment. I have asked Runa the same question.
@@MrRabbitthumper I know the Trailmax front is hard to come by here in Norway, so I have not tried it myself. I meet a guy on the trail the other day who was really impressed by them, and I got the impression he did alot of gravel. For me, the tkc80 is so damn good at everything you trow at it, and the local price is ridicules compared to other brands. So it is easy to pick the tkc80 over and over again 😇
Couldn’t sleep (no, it wasn’t a rowdy campsite motorhome party keeping me awake 😉), so switched on my iPad to watch something interesting and entertaining, cheers Thomas 👍🏻
One of the best so far Tjommi! Magic transitions with your footage. I think I saw something in your eyes 👀😜. Now you really hooked me up on next episode, so cool with collaborations. I actually was thinking of Norwegian TET this summer on my trip, since it was about same time that I had to ride it. Postponed it once more to the next year. If you had been in Røros when I took my ride we could have met up there. However, very beautiful scenery and I look forward to it even more now.
Haha, thank you so much Tjommi 👏🏻 I can't begin to describe how cool it is to sit here and get those feedbacks from one of mye biggest influencers In all this 😊 It is kinda strange I tell you that 😇 Yeah, it is really cool to meet up with others who are used to camera and all that stuff. It makes the jobb so much easier when filming. Indeed, it is not a race or a challenge to ride x amount of km each day. It is all about enjoying all the experiences and stop en smell the roses sometimes. Well, it is about the same cheating as your English accent and humor. I use what I have good damn it 🤣Hahaha. you are the first one to notice....SUCCESS 🙏🏻🤣
So I noticed in Episode 1 you were on the TKC 70 Rocks and in this one the Mitas E07+. I don't see any other vids on the the TKC 70 Rocks, should I take that to mean that it was not a good tire for you?
Yeah, my plan was to go up north last year, but did not have enough time! So i changed the tires to a new set so i was sure to have enough rubber for the trip. The tkc70 rocks are going back on this spring! So i can test it even more in some other conditions! It is an amazing tire! The wet tarmac and dry tarmac grip is great! They tend to spin a little bit more easy on gravel than the mitas e-07+ in mud they are both useless 🤣🙈
Loving your videos, great cinematics, clever editing, stunning scenery and a nice relaxed narrative. I'm still waiting to find out how the TKC 70 Rocks coped with the gravel? I'm in the process of buying the 890 Adventure R, it's slightly used and comes with more road based tyres and the OEM Karoo 3's which you didn't rate well in the wet. I'm looking for a set of tyres to cope with both off and on road. Greetings from Scotland 👍
Thank you so much for the kind words. Really appreciate that 🔥 Well… i have not put them back on yet, still waiting for my new bike, but the little i have tried the Rocks on gravel is ok… it is more a road tire than a gravel tire, but it will do light gravel and fire roads really well. Almost the same as the Mitas e.07+. With that said, i feel like the Rocks slips a little bit easier when you give throttle in corners (on gravel) there is minor differences in performance with the mitas e-07+ which i love as a rear tire. So it all comes down to what kind of “off-road” riding you are doing and how well you want the tires to perform. I always say that real off-road tires are knobby’s. 😇
@@tshansen Thank you very much for your reply and valued advice, I had been planning the Motoz Rallz, but was hoping something like the 70 Rocks would be a good compromise and offer greater road stability. Lots of roads are a mixture of gravel and dirt in Scotland so it looks like the Rallz are the answer, tyre availability is poor at the moment. I also need good cold and wet grip. Couldn't even get a new 890 R, so settled for a low milage used one. I'm interested to know why you chose the T7 ?
@@michaellilley6725 the Motaz are great, but i have not enough experience with them to say how well they perform on tarmac. On gravel they are great. Well, there are many reasons why i change, i will make a video about this subject, but one of the biggest reasons are the poor quality and many Small issues with ktm! I just have lost my trust to them completely
@@tshansen I'm sure you'll have many more great adventures on the Tenere' minus any reliability issues. It's sad the way motorcycle manufactures have let their standards slip along with customer service. Even Honda, once renowned for the finish, quality and reliability of their bikes have gone on the slippery slope. Manufacturing also seems on the slow down, there's more to all of this than scarcity of chips?
What happened to the funky sideways-sleeping hammock? :-) Another great video and thanks for introducing us to "Off She Goes"! BTW, I'm about 90% sure the KTM 890 Adventure will be my next bike.
This time I left my AMOK at home, because I know I was camping in caravan sites and was not sure about the possibility to hang the hammock, and when the temperature goes down to 0 degrees in the nights, it is easier to maintain a great comfort temp inside the tent with my gas burner. You are welcome, I hope Runa will continue to make videos in the upcoming years. 🔥 The 890 is a great bike 👌🏻
Hey, love your videos! Me and some friends are thinking about a tour on TET in Norway, but I'm a bit nervous that the roads are going to be very narrow? Is there any way to check the roads before the trip? Would you say that TET is usually so good you can drive a car there, or not? Best regards Sofia
Hello Sofia 🤩 So glad to hear you like my videos. Don't be nervous.... all the roads are wide enough to fit a car. So it won't be a problem at all if you ride a motorcycle 🔥
Thank you Alfons 😃 Appreciate it... I always try to evolve on the story telling and even did voiceover this time, I'm not sure if I should do more of it or not. Well, the easy way is to piss in one of her boots and ride away before she notice 😇

Thank you Jim 🙏🏻 I liked the tkc70 alot. They was a little bit better then the mitas on road, but the mitas was a little bit better off-road. So I would recommend it for every 50/50 rider. I still have more tread life on it, so I have it in my garage as a spare tire until this tire I run now is done. Then I will put it back on to wear it out as well.
Can't wait until your next video! In which mode do you ride most of the time when on the TET? Rally/Offroad/Street, etc? ...by the way I subscribed to your stalker as well :)

The France Alps are beautiful and there is not so much tourism like in the Austrian or Italian Alps. There are also beautiful curvy tarmac roads with little traffic to get some fresh air in the helmet.
@@maxn8993 Damn, that sound great. Do you know how people down there are with only English speaking tourist? I don't know much French? I really need to get down there and see for my self. sound amazing
@@tshansen Most people I met knew only little english or couldn't speak english. I never had a problem communicating with the staff on campsites or restaurants. There is always somebody there who speaks basic English. However don't expect fluent conversations because they only know a few words.
@@maxn8993 thank you, that is great to know. I better spend some time learning some easy phrases then, so they see I’m trying ☺️
Great video as always, many beautiful shots! I find myself looking at prices for motorcycles now ;)
Haha, thank you Pål 👏🏻 Riding a motorcycle trough Norway is amazing in so many way’s (when the weather is nice) Well, what bike are you looking at 😂 🙈
@@tshansen weeell the KTM 890 Adventure for instance :)
@@norwaywithpal Well, be careful, you may get hooked 😂
Cheers
Always a pleasure to see your videos Thomas! Tell me: what tires are you running on your KTM presently.
Thank you Roger 👏🏻 I'm currently running my favourite 50/50 setup... the mitas e-07+ rear and the tkc 80 up front. Perfect combo for mye use
At 08:49 whistling theme from "Fleksnes"? :)
Hahaha, that is correct 🙈😂 DEAÅåå
Couldn’t sleep (no, it wasn’t a rowdy campsite motorhome party keeping me awake 😉), so switched on my iPad to watch something interesting and entertaining, cheers Thomas 👍🏻
God morning mate 🤣 those campers know how to trow a party (by the sound of it) Glad you liked it mate... thank you 👏🏻🔥

Can't wait to see what Runa is gonna do in the upcoming years 👏🏻 Yeah, I know about your Norway plans, and I think we need to do something about both a Norwegian trip and a Sweden trip next year. I'm really looking forward to finally meet up, camp and share great storys. Yeah, I have not been to Røros yet, so that is high on the list next year as well, same with Lofoten 😇 there will be a couple of more episodes in the upcoming weeks 🍻
@@tshansen hehe, it is really noticable how much you have worked with the footage quality and editor quality. And the result is amazing. Look forward to see the comming videos and to be amazed. 💪👌. I follow Runa att IG, cool footage indeed. You know that we will have a fest one day 💪🍺.
@@Braapncamp Yeah, as you know, i never do anything half done. And i really enjoy the whole process, so to become better is a real challenge that i find really rewarding. @@tshansen 😂🙌 Woodcarving and Humlepung 💪or something like that.
As you say, Thomas: TET is not a race! I do enjoy your videos.
Günter from Nürnberg/Gemany
Indeed, it is not a race or a challenge to ride x amount of km each day. It is all about enjoying all the experiences and stop en smell the roses sometimes. Are you traveling to travel or are you traveling to experience something. it is a huge difference in my opinion 🔥 Really glad to hear you enjoy them Günter. 👏🏻 Thank you
@@tshansen Smell the roses. Time brings quality to your travels.
Scenery like that is cheating - makes movie making too easy! Nice masking too.
Well, it is about the same cheating as your English accent and humor. I use what I have good damn it 🤣Hahaha. you are the first one to notice....SUCCESS 🙏🏻🤣

@@tshansen Looking forward to see the rest of your TET series. 3 episodes to go! 😀
Best regards
Sofia
Hello Sofia 🤩 So glad to hear you like my videos. Don't be nervous.... all the roads are wide enough to fit a car. So it won't be a problem at all if you ride a motorcycle 🔥
Great captures once again Thomas! Your story telling is as always highly entertaining. How to lose the stalker? ;)
Thank you Alfons 😃 Appreciate it... I always try to evolve on the story telling and even did voiceover this time, I'm not sure if I should do more of it or not. Well, the easy way is to piss in one of her boots and ride away before she notice 😇

Absolutely beautiful! By the way, how did you like the TKC70 Rocks? Looks like you’re back to the Mitas.
Thank you... when I ride on gravel roads like this with small sections of tarmac I stay in Rally mode, I usually stay in slip mode 5 and change it up to 8 on the tarmac bits. 🔥 (I have throttle respons in street)
What a nice video. Thanks. Your bike sounds great, is that a stock muffler??
