Very informative. I have a Gmail workspace account for the domain I hosted in godaddy. I added mx records of gmail just like you showed above into my DNS settings and it was all working perfectly fine. But I noticed that when I try sending emails from my GoDaddy website contact form to my gmail workspace email GoDaddy server refuses to do. When I contacted GoDaddy they said I'm supposed to use their mx records and not Gmail's if I want to send emails. But when I do that my domain Gmail workspace stop receiving emails nor can I send any. I wonder if you have any suggestions or work around to fix this?
    Thanks in advance

You want to keep the Mx records pointing to Google workspace. The problem is with the website settings. You’ll either need to set up the website settings different. You may need spf or dkim records to send properly from your website, but the form on your website has nothing to do with Mx records.

@@NextTechNT cheers for the reply. I went back and checked workspace settings after you mentioned DKIM and noticed i hadn't added workspace DKIM records to GoDaddy yet. Now patiently waiting for Google them to authorise it. It's showing it'll probably take about 48hrs. Hopefully this fixes the issue since it's only just my workspace email that's not receiving any mail from the website.

Hello, thanks for the explanation but I’m using netlify and on the fields there isn’t any option to add a destination. Any solution to this?

Destination could also be called hostname or another value. Based on their support articles you should have a spot for name, weight, and value. Value is the Google info.

If you get an error when sending you should read that and it may give you some ideas. Maybe even post it into copilot and see what it says.
First thought is check your Mx records. Hope that helps!

What to do if the add dns option is not available

This is most likely caused by your nameservers being pointed elsewhere. I believe I cover that in the full video. Let me know if that doesn’t work.

I have a video that goes over that in more detail, but you have to buy Google Workspace to have your own domain and then put in their Mx records.

This goes a little more into other dns entries:
What is DNS? Setup for my domain? MX, CNAME, A Records Explained
      th-cam.com/video/TkkezmFhM5U/w-d-xo.html
Also for a text record you can change the drop down to be txt and put in the name and value.

Most likely your nameservers are pointing to another spot. I would check the spot you purchased your website through. They like to change your nameservers to point to them.
Wix and square space love to do this.
For godaddy they will be something like ns43.domaincontrol.com. If you move them to godaddy just know if you don’t update your records there you may break your website. So try to find out where your nameservers point to and make the change there.
