That came out very nice, I really like the weathering on those waterfront buildings. It does have a realistic look. Very nice,

In the past I have hand crafted small fish and placed them with a little lichen into the area to be turned into a lake, once the dam is removed I could actually see the fish swimming under the water for a little added touch to the scene,

Hey I live in NE! When I lived in Broken Bow NE, you could see around 4 coal trains a day, in my first two days there, I saw 9 trains

Excellent info and all put into an entertaining video! Great photos and a beautiful job on the layout! I'm doing a lot of video watching and learning, but I'm planning on getting into the whole model train thing this year after I move! Seems like an awesome artistic outlet!

Thanks for the tips. Very helpful. The first time I did a water scene it was on a free-standing 4x8 layout. The stream ended when it reached the edge. I taped up the ends with duct tape to contain the water. Unfortunately, tape alone is a bad idea. The water oozes right through. I lost an entire bottle of water in this way, got it all over the floor (luckily, a dirt cellar floor), and had to figure out a way to contain it. I found covering the ends with a strip of folded over plaster and molding it to the irregularities worked well. I didn't use caulk, altho' now I think it would be much better to do so. In the future though.

Great video, do you have a technique for adding detail to the water surface? I've tried Gloss Mod Podge which works ok and I was going to see how the Woodland Scenics water effects works for adding ripples. I'm only new to water and still experimenting with lots of different techniques. Thanks, Luke.

I must say Joey, that was the wisest decision retro fitting that structure on the corner...really made the scene....just like it's always been there! Your techniques are quite similar to mine! Oh, I've had my nightmares too. Thanks for sharing your videos again!
