Wow Kevin, you have outdone yourself! You make even the "slow growing hoya" look amazing in a before / after. I am really interested in knowing which plants you think do better in semi hydro vs. ok in semi hydro vs. better in soil. Also I feel very fortunate I found you while your channel is still relatively undiscovered, because I have a feeling this channel will go BIG!

Your Hoyas are beautiful! They must love what you’re doing for them. Plants are like people, we all are different in our likes and needs. Gives us what we need and we bloom too. Enjoy your content.

I love how you show the before and after, to better appreciate the progress in growth. Love all your hoyas. I have a small collection myself, but they are not as lush. Can you do a comparison between hoya obscura and hoya sunrise? Cutis porcelana is Filipino for porcelain skin.

Loved this vid I’m a massive Hoya head myself💁🏾♀️ I only have a couple of plants in leca and I would love to transition some of my others but I have an issue with keeping the pot/plant stable if that makes sense? I find that a lot of the time I have trouble stabilising the plant I would love to see a video on how you pot your leca plants/leca routine and trellis your hoya in leca. Thanks! Love from London

Hey Jonah! Haha it's tough because I also consider myself pretty new to hoyas. Maybe I can share what worked for me? 😅🙃💚
In my collection I've got about 6 inches of karnosa queen, and I just had 20 ish cuttings of compacta, princess, jade, and more queen Karnosa's thrust upon me as well as a bunch of mystery wet sticks by a friend. Im gonna have 4 full planters if they all grow, 3 more if the sticks take off too.
I'm a little overwhelmed, but I've got a friend who will be interested in a pot or two
The only thing cuter than your hoyas is how excited you get about them!

Hi Kevin, the flower usually only have 5 petal. But sometimes it do grow 4,6,7 petals. It’s unusual but do happen sometimes. None of mine did that, yet… but hopefully I get lucky like you 🍀 ☺️🤗

Hey I just found you and subscribed. I am new to Hoyas from spring summer. Ummmm I went a bit crazy snd I think I have over forty. The arch in some Hoyas where they are hooked with little clips what is it? Soft wire, hard to bend wire? Or are they pre made already?

Love your hoyas! I didn’t know there is such hoya as cutis porcelana. That name translates to porcelain skin or porcelain complection.
Another question… the one with the tomatoe cage Hoya cutis porcelains, it’s clipped on this tomatoes cage. Are those little clips hard on your plants? Like do they get pinched?? Just curious as I ordered some little clips and I didn’t realize they are so tiny. Orchid clips

Do you water your plants when the reservoir is empty or do you keep refilling when you see it’s getting low?
Do you refill your plants with the nutrient solution every time you see the reservoir low or do you refill with water? I’m wondering if I have to use nutrient solution with every watering or like, once a month.

I have a question. when you propagate your hoyas do you propagate it first in water then transfer to leca? or do you propagate it straight into leca?
Hi! These days I propagate straight into Pon or LECA or perlite. I only propagated my Hoya mathilde that one time in water 🤣
Posing a question, do you think that the Forbesii could be pronounced as (fourbs e i). Your black dragon looks great! As do a bunch of your plants.
I think gettin yours to grow so big should be considered an accomplishment, they all came rather leafless. Getting them to bloom means they are at home and feel great.

Apparently I‘m not capable. I‘ve had a bunch of different cuttings for weeks and they haven’t done anything. I have like 23 or so different ones. But they are so slow to grow. So for your Q&A: Share your Hoya care, including nutrients. :)

Are the roots gone/rotted? I would throw the plant into water if this is the case.
Do you do anything different for the Hoyas or drought tolerant plants in leca than you do for the other plants? Like the amount of water used or how often you water them.
I'm now seeing that my more succulent, thick leaves hoyas are not doing the greatest and definitely need to dry out more. My thin leaf hoyas I treat the same as my other aroids. My snake plants do just fine also. I don't have any experience with cactus or succulents

The ones in LECA I use the 3 part flora series by general hydroponics and the ones in pon just rely on the slow release fertilizer in the medium
